DESCRIPTION:The 74th edition of the Carema Grape and Wine Festival\, September 21–27\, 2026\, in the small Piedmontese village\nThe Municipality of Carema\, in collaboration with the Cantina dei Produttori Nebbiolo di Carema\,the “Andar per Cantine Antiche” Association\, and other local organizations\, is organizing the 74th edition of the Carema Grape and Wine Festival from September 21 to 27. A traditional event dedicated to the wines of Carema and the culture of the vine\, which has always been part of the history of this small Piedmontese village. \nA vineyard unlike any other in the world\nOver the centuries\, the residents of Carema have created a vineyard unlike any other in the world. Its layout consists of terraces and dry-stone walls\, with pillars supporting tall trellises. This mountain viticulture\, therefore\, requires labor-intensive work that cannot be mechanized: tying the vines with willow branches\, constant care of the vineyard\, and manual harvesting with on-site selection of the best bunches. This artisanal approach\, passed down from generation to generation\, allows for the production of a high-quality Nebbiolo\, characterized by great finesse and freshness. \nThe Carema Grape and Wine Festival\nThroughout the Carema Grape and Wine Festival\, there are many events scheduled to help visitors discover the Carema region and its wines in a festive atmosphere. This year\, the festival also coincides with the end of a particularly early grape harvest. \nProgram: \n\nMonday\, September 21\, 7:00 p.m. – 3rd edition of  “Carema Prima”\nPresentation and preview tasting of the new vintages of Carema DOC wines\, presented by Fabrizio Gallino alongside the producers\, at La Maiola restaurant in Carema. The wines will be paired with a three-course meal featuring traditional local specialties.\nThursday\, September 24\, 9:00 p.m. – The cultural event“Gran Masun: 15th-CenturyFortified House of Carema\,” curated by Dr. Beatrice Rampin\, will take place at the Sala San Matteo (Capela Suplin).\nFriday\, September 25\, at 9:00 p.m. — The traditional Bajolese Choir Concert will be held at the Sala San Matteo (Capela Suplin)\nSaturday\, September 26\, at 7:00 p.m.\, the 20th edition of“Andar per Cantine Antiche” begins.\nA charming stroll through the streets of the village of Carema to discover the old family wine cellars\, located inside the village’s historic homes. The evening offers a fascinating journey through the history of this small Piedmontese village\, featuring tastings of Carema DOC wines paired with local culinary specialties.\nSunday\, September 27\, at 10:00 a.m. –  Hike along the Vineyard Trail\, in collaboration with the Ivrea Morainic Amphitheater Ecomuseum. Departure from the sports complex parking lot.\n11:00 a.m. –  Holy Mass  a solemn ceremony\, featuring the traditional blessing of the fruits of the earth and a performance by the Carema Band\n1:00 p.m. – “Winemaker’s Lunch” organized by the Pro Loco of Carema at La Maiola restaurant in Carema\n5:00 p.m. – Award ceremony for the best grape clusters and presentation of the “Golden Grape Cluster“.
