DESCRIPTION:I Vini dell’Amore: Collective tasting along the Via dell’Amore\, the most iconic route in the Cinque Terre\, on Saturday\, October 3rd from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM\nHow can you not fall in love with the viticulture of the Cinque Terre? Cultivating vines here is truly a matter of passion: it means working on heroic slopes\, protecting terraces and dry stone walls\, dealing with harsh terrain every day and producing wines in necessarily limited quantities. \nAnd what more suitable place than the Way of Love to bring together those who continue to cultivate with stubborn tenacity and make known the wines that are born from such rare viticulture? \nIt is from these reflections that I Vini dell’Aeroimore was born\, the event organized by the Pro Loco of Riomaggiore and Manarola in collaboration and with the patronage of the Municipality of Riomaggiore and the Cinque Terre National Park\, scheduled for Saturday\, October 3rd on the Via dell’Amore. \nFor the first time\, the Cinque Terre’s most iconic trail is being the site of a group tasting dedicated to local viticulture: from 5 to 8 pm\, 23 wineries will be located along the trail\, united by the Cinque Terre Winemakers’ Association and the Cinque Terre Social Winery. \nAn opportunity to meet directly with the producers of Riomaggiore\, Vernazza\, and Monterosso\, sampling\, from glass to glass\, the white wines of the Cinque Terre\, an expression of this viticulture that combines exceptional oenological and scenic quality. \nThe Way of Love and the Cinque Terre\nBringing wines to the Via dell’Amore\, rebuilt after years of closure\, makes the inseparable and delicate connection between agriculture and landscape even more evident. In the Cinque Terre\, to make slopes that were naturally not cultivable\, man has transformed them over the centuries into terraces overlooking the sea. A deeply anthropized landscape\, which can only continue to exist if it continues to be cultivated. \n«Agriculture in the Cinque Terre has helped build the landscape and continues to keep it afloat – explains Fabrizia Pecunia\, mayor of Riomaggiore. – “Wines of Love” was created to put producers at the center and recognize the role their work plays in protecting and promoting the future of the Cinque Terre.
