DESCRIPTION:Coconut…Wine 2026: One of the most delicious and popular food and wine events in Piedmont has reached its 25th edition this year\nThe event\, organized by Go Wine in agreement with the Municipality of Cocconato and the Cocconato Riviera del Monferrato Consortium\, will take place in Cocconato d’Asti from Friday\, September 4th to Sunday\, September 6th\, 2026. \nA successful formula that is renewed in each edition and that promotes several factors: the valorization of the places (the landscape of Cocconato\, the historic center to walk)\, the gastronomic tradition (typical products such as Cocconato robiola\, many taste places in the town and surrounding areas)\,wine with a group of wineries that team up in the local consortium and open the doors of the event to other wineries in Piedmont. \nCocconato will thus transform into a virtual wine street\, where you can alternate wine tastings with typical local products\, filling the town’s historic center\, home to the wineries of Cocconato and Monferrato. \nIl borgo Cocconato d’Asti\nCocconato has always been a municipality with a strong food and wine vocation and a village of taste; many restaurants are located in the historic center and surrounding countryside\, reflecting the traditional hospitality that brings many tourists and onlookers to this corner of Monferrato every year. \nSo not just wine! Since its first edition\, the Cocco…Wine event has also been a showcase for typical local products\, showcasing local artisans of taste and some guests who participate in the event every year. \nL’iniziativa Cammina il Borgo di Cocconato\nThe 2026 edition of Cocco…Wine confirms its program as an initiative “Camminare il Borgo” to promote and raise awareness of Cocconato d’Asti through a guided walk through the heart of the historic center\, in the upper part. A journey that allows you to discover\, step by step\, the architectural\, cultural\, and landscape heritage of the upper part of one of Piedmont’s most fascinating villages. \nAlong the way\, you will be able to admire historic buildings\, Gothic porticoes\, churches and panoramic views\, in a perfectly preserved urban context. The visit takes place entirely in the pedestrian center and allows for a deeper understanding of the town’s history and identity\, with references to its agricultural and food and wine vocation. \n“Camminare il Borgo” it is proposed as an experience accessible to all\, designed to unite culture\, discovery and valorization of the territory. \nDays and times of the initiative will be communicated on the official page of the event. \nThe program\nFriday\, September 4th – the preview of the “Salotto di Cocconato” \n\n6:30 PM Guided in-depth tasting of Cocconato’s Barbera d’Asti. The tasting is reserved for the press and professional operators (for requests for accreditation send an email to stampa.eventi@gowinet.it).\n8.00pm Il “Cocco’s Lounge…Wine”: at the table with the flavours and wines of Cocconato at the Cannon d’Oro Restaurant. The traditional preview of the event with “Il Salotto di Cocco…Wine” is a moment dedicated to the table with the flavours and wines of the wineries of the Consorzio Cocconato Riviera del Monferrato. The Salotto will be hosted this year by the Cannon d’Oro Restaurant. Each winery will present a wine of the heart in a special wine shop. The wines can be paired with dishes designed for the occasion by Cocconato restaurateurs. The wines presented at the “Salotto” will create an exclusive tasting.\n\nSaturday\, September 5 (4-12 pm) afternoon and evening\nSunday\, September 6 (11 am to 7 pm) all day \n\n“Cocco Wine” tasting table opens with the following protagonists:\n– the cellars of Cocconato and Monferrato; \n– the themed Wine Islands;\nGastronomic stands of typical products.\n\nInformation to attend the event\nHow to Taste and Buy Tickets\nFor wine tasting on September 5th and 6th it is possible buy the ticket online on the website www.gowinet.it by September 4\, 2026 \nNews: On Sunday 6 September it will be possible to reach Cocconato by the historic centoporte train departing from Turin\, Moncalieri\, Asti.
