SUMMARY:Concours Mondial de Bruxelles - Sweet and Fortified Wines Session.
DESCRIPTION:Sweet and fortified wines shine again in Sicily. From Sept. 16 to 19 in Catania\, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles turns the spotlight on the Mediterranean of wine. \nSicily returns to the center of the international wine scene. For four days\, Catania will host the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles – Sweet and Fortified Wines Session\, the largest wine competition in the world\, organized by Vinopress and PRC Repubbliche\, in collaboration with the Sicilian Region\, Department of Agriculture\, and IRVO\, Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily. \nForty jurors from all over the world will evaluate the enoic universe of sweet\, fortified and oxidative wines\, expressions of a centuries-old tradition in which Sicily is one of the most important regions in terms of historicity and prospects. \nThe event will welcome producers\, winemakers\, journalists and international tasters\, transforming the city into a global stage dedicated to wines that are not only production excellence but also cultural expressions of communities. Sweet and fortified wines thus become a symbol of collective identity and cultural consumption that unites memory and future. \nThe program includes four days of tastings\, masterclasses and thematic meetings. Among the most relevant appointments is a roundtable discussion on the path to UNESCO recognition of the wines of the Sun Belt Zone (Marsala\, Jerez and Samos). A cultural diplomacy project that aims to recognize the universal value of wine-making traditions that have marked the history of the Mediterranean. \nGreat space will also be devoted to innovation and sustainability. Focus on climate change\, biodiversity and the enhancement of native grape varieties as strategic resources for the future of Mediterranean viticulture. The masterclasses will be conducted by Pietro Russo MW and oenologist Giuseppe Figlioli\, in a sensory journey that combines technical knowledge\, popularization and culture. \nSicily is the ideal place to turn the spotlight on wines that embody tradition\, innovation and cultural identity. Wine here is living culture\, the fruit of the communities that have cherished and passed it on. The choice of Catania as the venue for this session is a recognition of the work of winemakers\, winemakers and communities that have made sweet and fortified wines Sicily’s identity heritage. \nFor more details\, see the official page

SUMMARY:Panzano in Chianti - Vino al Vino 2025
DESCRIPTION:Vino al Vino 2025: On Sept. 19\, 20 and 21\, Panzano in Chianti celebrates the territory and 30 years of the Union of\nWinemakers\nThe Union of Winegrowers of Panzano in Chianti\nFrom September 19 to 21\, 2025 Vino al Vino\, the annual event that brings together the wineries of the Union of Winegrowers of Panzano\, returns to Panzano in Chianti. An event dedicated to wine-making excellence\, territorial identity and direct dialogue between producers and the public. \nThis year’s edition takes on a special significance. In fact\, it marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Union of Winegrowers of Panzano in Chianti\, established in 1995 on the occasion of the first edition of Vino al Vino. The Union of Winegrowers of Panzano in Chianti was the first winegrowers’ association founded in the Chianti Classico territory\, with the intention of promoting viticulture that respects the environment and is deeply rooted in the land that generates it. \nDuring the event\, visitors will be able to taste a selection of more than 80 labels between Chianti Classico and IGT\, confronting themselves directly with the producers present. A unique opportunity to discover the fruit of work based on consistency\, quality and sustainability. \nToday the Panzano Winegrowers’ Union represents almost the entire UGA (Additional Geographical Unit) of Panzano with a vineyard area of 595 hectares. Currently 95% of the vineyards are certified organic. This is an extraordinary achievement\, the result of a journey that began in 2012 when Panzano was recognized as Italy’s first viticultural biodistrict with 60 percent of the vineyard area already converted to organic. A pioneering model that set the standard and still represents a point of reference in the national wine scene. \nThe work of the Union has been accompanied from the beginning by a strong spirit of collaboration. The founding companies1 created a collective project that networked skills and values\, building over the years a shared identity capable of enhancing the quality of the wines and the authentic link between land\, culture and tradition. \nThanks also to the constant dialogue with the SPEVIS Experimental Station\, the Panzano area has become a true laboratory of sustainable viticulture\, capable of combining enological excellence\, biodiversity protection and agronomic innovation. \nVino al Vino 2025 confirms the centrality of this journey\, celebrating with visitors 30 years of history\, community and love of wine. \nThe event\nAppointment in Piazza Bucciarelli\, Panzano in Chianti (FI)\, with 22 participating wineries – more than 80 wines for tasting \nOpening hours: \n\nFriday\, September 19: 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.\nSaturday\, September 20: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.\nSunday\, September 21: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.\n\nOnline presale with 10% discount at www.viticoltoripanzano.com\nUnder the patronage of the Municipality of Greve in Chianti

SUMMARY:Bra - Cheese 2025
DESCRIPTION:Cheese 2025\, there’s a world around it! The biennial event dedicated to cheese lovers returns to Bra. \n\nCheese 2025\, the biennial event dedicated to cheese lovers and especially to the infinite variations that this food can have\, returns to Bra. Each cheese manages to express its land\, its traditions\, its origin\, the passion of the producer and the power of nature\, of knowing how to wait\, how to age\, how to interpret. \nDefinitely Cheese is the most appropriate event for those who want to test the nuances and emotions that cheeses can give\, as well as the pairings that can be invented. \nCheese and Slow Food\nSince the first edition in 1997\, many things have changed\, both in the event\, which has grown a great deal\, becoming a real point of reference for dairy production\, and in the production of this amazing food itself\, as well as on the knowledge that the final consumer has of it. This is also thanks to the work done by Slow Food\, which has carried this event forward with a series of Tastings\, Taste Workshops\, Working Tables\, Conferences\, explanations and comparisons. In addition to having preserved a series of cheeses that were in danger of disappearing and that today can instead boast the title of Slowfood Presidia. A way to also save and help artisanal work that too often risks being crushed\, forgotten\, erased. One of the most fascinating things then is to meet the producers who come from all over the world\, with their products\, their passion and their incredible stories. \nThe theme of the 2025 edition: raw milk cheeses\nThe 15th edition of Cheese wants to tell the world around raw milk\, explain what it represents\, and reveal its value (environmental\, social\, cultural and economic) also\, and above all\, from a future perspective. \nAround a raw milk cheese there is a world of pastures\, meadows\, forests\, herbs\, flowers and scents. There is ancient knowledge\, there is care for the landscape and the land\, there are local breeds. And honeys\, and wools-and the work of those who want a different future. More harmonious\, more conscious\, more true. \n\nUseful information\nPublic opening hours: Friday through Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.\, Monday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. \nItalian and international market\, with Slow Food Presidia and refiners and selectors\, Friday through Sunday\, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Monday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. \nWine Shop\, Street Kitchens\, Food trucks\, Craft Breweries\, Friday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Monday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. \nAs always\, admission is free. Fees are charged for some of the scheduled events\, such as the Taste Workshops and others that will be duly noted. All events and the market take place in the squares\, courtyards and streets of Bra’s historic center. \nAt www.slowfood.it the program with all the must-see events and new features of the 2025 edition! \n
