SUMMARY:Naples - Vesuvius Wine Day 2026
DESCRIPTION:Vesuvio Wine Day 2026 in the city: The authentic taste of Vesuvius\, including territory\, wine\, culture and gastronomy\nVesuvio Wine Day 2026 will be held on May 10 and 11 in Naples\, at the Complesso Monumentale San Lorenzo Maggiore (Piazza San Gaetano). Organized by the Consortium for the Protection of Vesuvius Wines\, the event was born out of a desire to enhance the territory\, history\, culture and wines of the Vesuvius area. \nTwo days of meetings\, Masterclasses and gastronomic itineraries\, dedicated to the specialized press\, trade operators and enthusiasts. More than 120 wines i from Vesuvius will be tasted. \nThe Vesuvius area\nThe Vesuvius area represents an area with unique characteristics. It is world famous for its history\, scenic beauty and archaeological value. Vine culture has dwelt in these lands since the time of the first Hellenic colonization. It then developed in the Roman period\, with the production of some of the most famous wines of antiquity. Vesuvius has preserved its natural vocation for viticulture over the centuries and today stands as one of the most interesting terroirs in the world. \nThe volcanic soil\, consisting of sands\, pumice and lapilli\, has kept Vesuvius safe from phylloxera\, preserving a heritage of centuries-old vines of high historical value. Even today\, the vines are planted with free-range vines\, using the offshoot method for new plantings to protect the ancient local biotypes. \nThe indissoluble bond with the territory\, has made it possible to preserve the grape varieties historically present in the Vesuvian area. In particular\, we find caprettone and piedirosso-as well as catalanesca\, coda di volpe\, falanghina\, greco\, sciascinoso and aglianico-which have always constituted the ampelographic base of the area’s wines. \nThe sunny\, Mediterranean climate is mitigated by the altitude\, which ensures good temperature fluctuations between day and night temperatures\, favoring the development of intense and elegant aromatic profiles. The vineyards are cultivated between 200 and 700 meters above sea level\, and the microclimate is also influenced by different exposures and distance from the sea. \nPrecisely because of these peculiarities\, Vesuvius has all the characteristics to impose itself worldwide as anarea of choice for the production of Fine Wines\, connoted by a unique terroir\, typical grape varieties and a millennial history. \nVesuvio Wine Day 2026 in the City\nAppointment at the San Lorenzo Monumental Complex \nProgram Sunday\, May 10: \n\n11:00 a.m. Sixtus V Hall – Event opening and institutional greetings\n11:30 am Vesuvius Wine Forum: Vesuvius: a wine tourism destination of excellence\nConducted by Chiara Giorleo\n12:00 p.m. Chapter Room – Masterclass: Four quadrants\, four goblets to tell the story of our culinary excellence(by invitation only) – Conducted by Chiara Giorleo\nParticipants Salvatore Schiavone\, Director of the ICQRF Campania-Molise and author of the book A\ntavola con l’arte culinaria al teatro e al cinema and Francesco Maria Spanò Director of Luiss\nin Rome and author of the book In principio fu lo stoccafisso\n1:30 p.m. Chapter Hall – Light lunch with local products (by invitation)\n2 p.m. Guided tour of Naples Underground(by invitation)\n3:00 p.m. Chapter Room – Masterclass: How to really recognize them: the whites of Vesuvius between grape varieties\, dials and interpretations(reservation required) * – Led by Chiara Giorleo\n4:30 p.m. Chapter Room – Masterclass: Who’s really in charge: the grape variety or the territory? SUMMARY:Sicily en Primeur 2026
DESCRIPTION:Sicilia en Primeur\, international preview of the latest vintage\, returns to Palermo May 11-15\nSicily en Primeur \nSicilia en Primeur is the most important event conceived and organized by “Assovini Sicilia” \nBorn in 2003 as an international preview of the latest vintage\, aimed at the Italian and foreign press. The event aims to introduce the countless facets of Sicilian wine\, through tastings and meetings with producers. But at the same time it presents the places and culture that make up the Sicilian wine tradition\, through enotours in different areas of the island. \nThe winning format of Sicilia en Primeur includes enotours aimed at the press and visits to participating wineries and production territories. These tours include technical tastings\, masterclasses\, talks on topical issues and a conference dedicated to meeting producers and tastings at winery stations. \nChoosing from 12 different itineraries\, press professionals travel to discover the wineries and the territory. In this way\, wine becomes an exclusive key to understanding the extraordinary variety and biodiversity of the island and its historical and cultural heritage\, along with the history of the producers and wineries. \nA kermis that over the years has established itself as a tool to enhance the Sicily brand in the world. The last edition in 2025 involved more than one hundred journalists from all over and fifty-seven member companies. \nThe 2026 edition\nSicilia en Primeur will be held May 11-15\, 2026 in Palermo. \nThe event is open by invitation for industry professionals. \nMore details on the official website www.assovinisicilia.it. \nWine tourism as a strategic lever in Sicily\nIn an international market scenario fraught with uncertainty and complexity\, there is one asset that is increasingly becoming strategically important to wineries’ business and has grown significantly in recent years:wine tourism.>If we look at tourist arrivals in Italy’s main wine-producing areas (from Valdobbiadene to Valpolicella\, from Langhe to Franciacorta\, from Collio to Chianti) in the last five years there have been much higher growths – in terms of percentage changes – than the average for the respective region (net of the capitals/art cities). In the case of Sicily\, taking\, for example\, the municipalities of Mount Etna\, between 2019 and 2024 tourist arrivals grew by 17.4 percent against an average for the entire island of 12.4 percent. \n“Assovini Sicilia is betting on wine tourism. Not only as a strategy but as an asset of wineries that are responding dynamically to the new challenges of the wine world.” Thus commented Mariangela Cambria\, president of Assovini Sicilia\, continuing\, “Wine tourism allows us to tell the story of wine as a cultural product and part of a wider context. Landscape\, stories\, producers and gastronomy coexist. Wine Sicily that today confirms itself as an island capable of intercepting changes and anticipating strategies.” \nWine tourism in Sicily has a much more international character than the average in other Italian wine territories: according to Sicilian producers\, the identikit of the wine tourist who arrives in Sicily is predominantly foreign – particularly from the United States\, Germany and England – has an average age between 40 and 55 years and is not necessarily a wine expert\, which is not a critical issue rather an opportunity to fill a knowledge gap and increase the wine culture of people who\, after the wine tourism experience\, can become ambassadors of the company brand and Sicilian wine territories. \nLooking to the future\, according to the same companies in the coming years\, wine tourists will mainly go in search of personalized experiences and exclusive offers\, immersive and multisensory experiences but also integrated with cultural activities.

SUMMARY:Rose Rosé 2026
DESCRIPTION:Rose Rosé returns to Rome: 4th Edition lights up the cityMay 11-17\, including wine\, fashion and art\nFrom May 11 to 17\, with highlight events on the 13th and 14th\, Via Borgognona is transformed into an experiential pathway with tastings\, boutiques and floral installations\, with Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo as the absolute protagonist and a program full of novelties designed to win over not only wine lovers but also contemporary lifestyle enthusiasts. \nFourth edition\, same soul and new vibes: Rose Rosé returns to Rome to celebrate the month of roses with an experience that conquers the palate and seduces the eye\, inviting everyone to be transported into a world where pink becomes emotion\, style and storytelling. In May\, when the city lights up with light and the gardens are tinged with the first blooms\, one of the most original events of the spring season comes to life\, capable of renewing itself over time without losing its identity. \nThe event\, promoted by the Matrix Association and MKTG Advisor\, continues to successfully narrate an original and recognizable formula\, enriched by novelties that enliven the program and ignite the curiosity of an increasingly broad audience: not only wine enthusiasts\, but also lovers of fashion\, art and immersive experiences. \nFrom May 11 to 17\, with highlights on the 13th and 14th\, Rose Rosé is preparing to take the city by storm once again with a calendar full of events designed to offer an engaging journey between tastings\, shopping experiences\, art and lifestyle\, in a harmonious and contemporary balance. \nAt the center of this edition is once again the allure of rosé wine\, in its many nuances and declinations\, but also a broader idea of the event: an immersive journey that interweaves taste and beauty\, tradition and trends. \nThe exceptional setting will again be Via Borgognona\, the beating heart of Altagamma shopping in Rome\, with its French-influenced historic architecture and prestigious international boutiques. For the occasion\, the street will be transformed into a unique sensory itinerary\, dressing itself in pink and roses thanks to the set-up signed by Flover\, a Neapolitan company specializing in fashion and design. Their scenic wall planters will create a poetic and refined ambience\, enhancing the beauty of roses and recalling the delicate tones of rosé wines in the glass. \nAbout 12 boutiques are involved along the street\, each of which will host individual wineries of the Consorzio Tutela Vini d’Abruzzo\, the initiative’s exclusive wine partner. The exceptional protagonist will be Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo – the first Italian appellation dedicated exclusively to rosé wines\, born in 2010\, which is now experiencing a golden moment – which will accompany guests on a tasting path among freshness\, fruity aromas and versatility. \nThe experiences will be divided between widespread tastings in the boutiques on May 14 and an invitation-only wine tasting in the halls of the prestigious St. Regis Rome on May 13\, Throughout the itinerary\, qualified sommeliers will guide participants on a sensory journey filled with curiosities\, stories and pairings. \nOnce again this year\, there will be no shortage of space dedicated to art: contemporary artist Elisabetta (Betta) Serena di Lapigio will exhibit her works at the St. Regis Rome\, adding an additional layer of dialogue between aesthetics and perception\, at the Sala del Cinghiale in the Nino dal 1934 restaurant and in some of the participating boutiques. Adding to the vibrancy of the experience\, a collaboration continues with fashion illustrator Aldo Sacchetti\, who will create live portraits of guests through the sketch technique inside selected boutiques. \nRose Rosé thus confirms itself to be much more than a wine event: it is a choral tale made of taste\, beauty and lifestyle\, capable of transforming the city into a diffuse stage where every detail contributes to creating an elegant\, engaging atmosphere that is always in step with the times. \nThe event is sponsored by the Lazio Region\, the Municipality of Rome and Confcommercio imprese per l’Italia\, with the media partnership of RCS Corriere della Sera and the support of partners such as Avis Drive\, Valverde\, Matrix\, Montenapoleone District and Flover. \nFull details of the initiative can be found on the official page
