DESCRIPTION:Serpino Festival: From June 20 to July 6\, the major summer festival dedicated to Serpino—the native\, lively\, and effervescent sparkling wine of the Euganean Hills—returns\nSerprino Festival 2026: Wine\, Art\, and Landscape in the Euganean Hills \nSummer is back\, and so is the Serprino Festival\, the event dedicated to the lively\, locally produced sparkling wine of the Euganean Hills. Through July 6\, the Padua area will come alive with a packed schedule of events\, including tastings\, guided tours\, music\, art\, and gatherings at wineries\, offering a chance to experience the connection between wine\, culture\, and the landscape.  \nOrganized by the Consorzio di Tutela Vini Colli Euganei in collaboration with the Padua Chamber of Commerce and Venicepromex\, the festival will take place at some of the area’s most picturesque locations\, including Villa Giovannelli Colonna\, the Castello del Catajo\, Villa Molin\, the Villa Bassi Rathgeb Museum\, and the Atestino National Museum\, as well as numerous local wineries. \nThe preview is scheduled for June 18 at Cantina La Mincana in Due Carrare\, featuring the presentation of Oscar Farinetti’s book *La regola del silenzio* in the presence of the author. \nThe official opening will take place on Saturday\, June 20\,at Praglia Abbey with “Vulcanico Serprino\,” an event dedicated to tasting Euganean sparkling wines: tasting stations with producers\, culinary offerings\, live music\, and cooking demonstrations. That same day will also feature cultural events\, such as “Villa Molin Under the Stars\,” with a guided tour and a closing toast\, and “The Serprino Solstice” at Cantina La Roccola\, featuring a culinary experience paired with wine.  \nIn the days that follow\, the festival will continue with a variety of experiences blending nature and culture. Guided tours organized by Veneto Segreto will take participants on a journey to discover historic estates and lesser-known sites\, including Villa Giovannelli Colonna\, the Abbey of Carceri\, Villa Cà Conti\, and the Colombara Tower in Ca’ Savioni—all accompanied by a glass of Serprino.  \nThe program also offers many opportunities to experience wine firsthand at the places where it’s produced: from sunset tastings among the rows of vines at Cantina Contarato to days at Toniolo Vigneti e Cantina\, featuring tours\, walks through the vineyards\, and tastings. There will also be evening events such as “Le Notti del Serprino” at the Cava Bomba Museum\, “Note al Tramonto” at the Giacomo Salmaso Winery\, and musical events at local farms.  \nOn June 26\, the Villa Bassi Rathgeb Museum in Abano Terme will host an event dedicated to the connection between art and wine\, featuring a tour of the exhibition  Alfred Eisenstaedt. That same evening\, there will be music and socializing with dinners and events such as “Note d’estate ” and “Ombre da Fufi.”  \nAmong the most anticipated events are “Aperitivo al Castello” in the stunning setting of Catajo Castle\, featuring wine\, street food\, and live music\, and “Sound of Wine” at Vigna Vecchia\, which combines an aperitif in the vineyard with a concert. \nThe festival will continue in July with new events dedicated to the history and traditions of the region. At the Museo Nazionale Atestino in Este\, Museo Divino will offer a tour exploring the relationship between wine\, the ancient Veneti\, and the Romans\, followed by a tasting.  \nThe final weekend will be packed with events: from dinners among the vineyards to musical evenings\, from gourmet picnics in the vineyards to tastings at the wineries. DESCRIPTION:Müller Thurgau: Mountain Wine—From July 2 to 5\, the Val di Cembra will host the 39th edition of the international festival celebrating one of this region’s most iconic wines\nFrom July 2 to 5\, the major event dedicated to Müller Thurgau returns\, featuring free tastings\, technical sessions\, and immersive experiences in the region. \nThe heart of the event will be Palazzo Maffei\, an elegant 17th-century building. Visitors will be able to taste dozens of Müller Thurgau wines from various Italian and international wine-producing regions. A team of AIS sommeliers will be on hand to provide information and tasting advice\, supported by a group of local young people.   \nThe program for wine enthusiasts will also feature the awards ceremony and tasting of the winning wines from the 23rd International Competition. The tasting panel will take place on Friday\, June 19. A team of 18 judges\, divided into three tasting panels—each composed of oenologists\, journalists\, and sommeliers—will evaluate the competing wines. The tastings will be conducted blind according to the Union Internationale des Oenologues method\, which involves evaluating the wine’s appearance\, aroma\, taste\, and the interplay between taste and aroma.   \nThere will also be an in-depth masterclass. Sommelier and journalist Giuseppe Carrus will guide guests on a journey through the wines of the Val di Cembra and other Italian wine-growing regions. Guests will discover how extreme terroirs\, savory notes\, aging\, and vertical tasting come together in the glass.   \nThere will also be a focus on mixology with an event dedicated to grappa. Bartender Leonardo Veronesi will guide the audience through the art of mixology with a special workshop where participants can try their hand at creating their own cocktails.  \nWith Heroes\, you’ll stroll through the vineyards\, with food and wine stops along the way and—new this year—a closing barbecue nestled among the rows of vines. Those who prefer two wheels can opt for “Cantine in Sella”\, an e-bike tour with stops at several local wineries to get an up-close look at the work and passion behind every bottle produced on these steep slopes. Among the events is also a comedy show by actress Loredana Cont titled “IRONICAMENTE VINO – Vim bon per tuti.”   \nAt the table\, however\, the festival plays the surprise card. It’s back “Around the World in 80 Müllers”\, an ethnic cuisine cooking demonstration designed to showcase the versatility of this wine. After Japan\, Sri Lanka\, and Thailand\, this year it’s Nigeria’s turn\, with three recipes presented for tasting by Tracy Eboigbodin\, winner of MasterChef Italia 11. And then there’s the dinner on the avenue under the stars\, celebrating the union between the Cembra and Fiemme regions. From July 3 to 5\, it will host the seventh edition of Calici in Tonnara\, a festival that transforms an important industrial archaeological site into a stage dedicated to the region’s finest products.   \nMore than just a food and wine festival\, Calici in Tonnara is a cultural promotion project . It highlights Sardinia’s tangible and intangible heritage. This event invites the public to embark on a journey through landscapes\, traditions\, and exceptional local products\, showcasing the island not only through its wines but also through the places that preserve its history.  \nProgram\nFor three consecutive evenings\, more than 30 wineries from all over Sardinia will bring some of the region’s most representative wines to Portoscuso.
