SUMMARY:Cirò Wine Festival
DESCRIPTION:Cirò Wine Festival: On August 10\, the summer event celebrating a millennia-old tradition returns\nOn August 10\, the Consortium’s festival in Madonna di Mare\, featuring the Consortium’s wineries and singer-songwriter performances \nCirò DOCG\nToday\, Cirò is one of the most dynamic wine appellations in the wine scene of Southern Italy—and not just in Calabria. It is a region where fishermen and winemakers have always coexisted in perfect harmony\, creating a deep bond between land and sea that is also reflected in its winemaking expression. This millennia-old legacy\, rooted in classical times\, is placed at the heart of the now-well-established summer event in the Cirò region by the Cirò and Melissa Protection Consortium\, chaired by Carlo Siciliani. The Cirò Wine Festival returns for its 2026 edition on the traditional date of August 10 with a grand community celebration at the Madonna di Mare venue\, transforming the Mercati Saraceni into a grand agora that celebrates Cirò’s producers and the cultural value of wine and its indigenous expressions. \nFollowing the granting of the Cirò DOCG designation — the first in the history of Calabrian wine\, the relationship between tradition and evolution is being strengthened through a synergistic partnership between young winemakers—who are increasingly driving the production scene—and the historic wineries that have played a vital role in both the past and present of the region’s winemaking history. “We are a diverse yet cohesive production system that promotes native grape varieties\, preserves the vineyard landscape\, and presents itself to the world with an authentic\, unified voice—especially at an event like the Cirò Wine Festival\, during which wineries open their doors to the many wine lovers\, enthusiasts\, and tourists who flock to the area in large numbers during the summer months.” \nThe vineyards shape the landscape of the hills\, sloping down to the sea\, creating a harmonious scene that\, through the community of winemakers\, brings together identity and the future. \nCirò Wine Festival 2026\nThe 2026 Cirò Wine Festival is set to be a true celebration of the region: enriching this year’s edition are wine tours that will allow enthusiasts to engage directly with the wineries ahead of the grand finale on August 10 in the picturesque setting of the Mercati Saraceni in Madonna di Mare\, featuring music by Hosteria di Giò and DJ sets by Gregor Salto and Adam Clay. \nThe festival is a one-of-a-kind narrative experience that combines knowledge of the region with experiential tourism\, the promotion of the local community\, and a celebration of identity—all through an event that is renewed each year and pays tribute to Calabria’s iconic wine at the height of its institutional recognition. \nFacebook www.facebook.com/Consorzio-Vini-Cirò \nWebsite: www.consorzioviniciroemelissa.it

SUMMARY:La Morra - Mangialonga 2026
DESCRIPTION:Mangialonga 2026 returns with one of Italy’s most famous food-and-wine walks\, an event that for nearly forty years has celebrated the perfect blend of scenery\, traditional cuisine\, and the great wines of the Langhe.\nLa Mangialonga\nNow in its 38th edition\, the event will take place on Sunday\, August 30\, 2026\, in La Morra\, one of the iconic villages of the UNESCO World Heritage Site\, offering participants the opportunity to enjoy an authentic experience amid vineyards\, rolling hills\, and local flavors. \nThe Mangialonga is not a sports competition\, but a non-competitive food-and-wine walk designed to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace\, letting yourself be guided by the beauty of the landscape and the region’s culinary delights. \nThe route\, approximately 4 kilometers long\, winds through the picturesque vineyards surrounding La Morra and takes participants along a path dotted with numerous tasting stops. At each stop\, guests are treated to dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of the Langhe\, prepared with local ingredients and paired with a selection of wines from local wineries\, offering a sensory journey that showcases the food and wine heritage of one of Italy’s most prestigious wine-growing regions. \nThe atmosphere is one of the event’s defining features. The day is all about camaraderie\, discovery\, and the pleasure of sharing good food—without rushing\, and surrounded by scenery of extraordinary beauty. The event’s format alternates between walking and stops for tastings\, transforming the route into an opportunity to experience the culinary and wine culture of the Langhe up close. Even in the event of inclement weather\, the event will proceed as scheduled. \nThe 38th edition of the Mangialonga\nThe 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday\, August 30\, starting from La Morra\, in the province of Cuneo. At this time\, the organizers have not yet announced the start times\, which will be communicated to registered participants closer to the event\, along with practical information regarding registration and the day’s schedule. \nParticipation is reserved for registered attendees and requires advance registration through the event’s official website. For 2026\, the participation fee is set at 60 euros for adults and 25 euros for youth ages 9 to 17\, while children 8 and under participate for free. There are also incentives for groups\, with free tickets offered once certain registration thresholds are reached. Available spots are limited\, and given the event’s great popularity\, it is advisable to make your reservation well in advance. \nFor information and reservations for Mangialonga—a food and wine tour in La Morra \nSolidarity commitment\nOnce again this year\, Mangialonga reaffirms its commitment to charity by supportingthe Piccoli Passi ODV Association\, which works on behalf of the University Neonatology and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Sant’Anna Hospital in Turin. This initiative further enriches the event’s significance\, making it not only a celebration of the flavors and fine wines of the Langhe\, but also an occasion for sharing and social awareness. Thanks to the balance between gastronomy\, landscape\, and hospitality\, Mangialonga continues to be one of the most iconic events in Italian wine tourism\, capable of showcasing the region through an engaging and authentic experience.
