First and foremost is the new venue: the former Distilleria Paolo Cassano in Gioia Del Colle (Ba)\, listed as a monumental and environmental heritage site by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage since 1992\, has recently been renovated and refurbished\, becoming more capacious and comfortable\, with the aim of becoming a place of active culture\, hosting exhibitions\, fairs and cultural events in general. \nWith more producers\, it will also be possible to host more expert journalists and operators from all over Italy and abroad. The event will therefore host international journalists and importers\, as always\, for the annual event that shines an international spotlight on the wine and oil production of Italy’s southern regions\, promoting their quality and value through the competition dedicated to wines from indigenous grape varieties\, tours of the territories\, B2B meetings\, tasting counters and cultural insights. \nThe schedule of the six-day event:\n\nJune 4-6 guests\, international journalists and importers\, will be accompanied on tours of the territories ; \nJune 7 and 8 will be days of closed-door activities dedicated to the Southern Wine Competition and meetings between importers and wine and oil producers from Abruzzo\, Molise\, Basilicata\, Campania\, Calabria\, Puglia\, Sardinia and Sicily;\nJune 9\, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.\, a conference will be held to award the winning wines of the 20th e\,\nJune 9 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.\, open doors to the public of industry professionals and enthusiasts who will meet with wine and oil producers to learn about the new vintages in the winery and mill range.\n\nAnother novelty already announced will concern the competition dedicated to wines from indigenous grape varieties of Southern Italy\, and in particular the scores\, with a wider range of cents than in the past\, which will allow more equitable awards. In addition\, in the 2025 edition all winners will receive the stamp corresponding to the prize received\, to be placed on all bottles produced of the winning label. \nRadici del Sud is an event that the association of the same name has promoted every year since 2005\, delving passionately and assiduously into the themes and novelties of the southern Italian wine and oil scene. For 2025\, the experience of twenty editions\, the careful and up-to-date focus on novelties and then\, of course\, the inimitable charm of the wines and oils of Southern Italy\, will return the event to its well-deserved centrality in the panorama of major events on Italian native wines. \nAll information and details on the Official Page

The historic Italian wine magazine Civiltà del bere reproposes the maritime edition of its popular event. The well-known VinoVip event\, which brings together the big names of oenology and emerging producers every two years in Cortina d’Ampezzo\, in the summer of 2025 returns to the Forte shore\, where two editions have already been held\, in 2018 and 2023. \nVinoVip hosts in Versilia the Gotha of Italian wine production\, with top wineries\, great\nsignatures (the Protagonists on Monday\, June 9)\, new Italian challenges\, and a focus dedicated to white fine wines. \nVinoVip is not just a tasting\, but two days of discussion open to the public\, during which\ninternationally renowned names meet in one of the most popular tourist destinations. As always\, VinoVip also proposes central themes for Italian enology\, and this year they will be prestige whites and the future as seen by young people.” \nThe Program:\nSunday\, June 8: \n\n3 p.m. Lecture on white fine wines in the world with Aldo Fiordelli\, senior editor of James Suckling and contributor to Civiltà del Bere\, .\n4:30 pm Tasting of Italian white fine wines\, a time of extreme interest for professionals and connoisseurs of great wine. SUMMARY:Benevento - Generosa Barbera

SUMMARY:Alta Langa Rome
DESCRIPTION:Alta Langa Rome: on Monday\, June 16\, the High Piedmontese Bubbles in the Capital\, at Spazio Field in Palazzo Brancaccio\, for a great B2B tasting\nEverything is ready in the capital for Alta Langa Roma\, the B2B event dedicated to Piedmont’s High Bubbles. \nMore than 30 producers associated with the Consortium will present to the public a selection of their cuvées of classic method currently on the market\, in all more than 70 labels divided between whites\, rosés and reserves\, in the brut and pas dosé types. \nThe Consortium offers producers the opportunity to meet operators\, experts and enthusiasts in Rome with the desire to consolidate a presence and create a fixed and recurring appointment. A unique opportunity to present the vintages currently on the market of Alta Langa DOCG (metodo classico tutto millesimato) and to make the unique and extraordinary territory of origin better and better known. \nAfter the success of the first edition\, Alta Langa DOCG returns to Rome and brings with it its bubbles of character\, an authentic expression of the high hillsides of Piedmont close to the Ligurian Apennines. \nThe second edition confirms the Capital’s growing interest in this classic method\, which is increasingly present on the wine lists of haute cuisine and among the preferences of an attentive and demanding public. \nInvited masterclasses conducted by Marco Reitano\nInvitation-only master classes conducted by Marco Reitano\, sommelier at La Pergola *** restaurant (Rome Cavalieri – The Waldorf Astoria)\, will be held throughout the day. \nAlta Langa DOCG meets Rome in ten leading venues\nThese days\, ten renowned Roman eateries are the protagonists of a photo shoot that brings the allure of Alta Langa DOCG to the Eternal City. Alta Langa DOCG met the Roman restaurant scene to tell many stories of passion and craftsmanship\, from the dining room to the heart of the kitchens\, in a photographic journey that celebrates the flavors and some of the protagonists of the Roman gastronomic scene. The shots are posted on the Consortium’s social channels highlighting\, through the face of the Roman haute cuisine\, the contemporary spirit of Alte Bollicine Piemontesi. The venues involved: Mirabelle\, Follie del Villa Agrippina at Gran Meliá Hotel\, L’Arcangelo\, Armando al Pantheon\, Sushisen\, Romané by Stefano Callegari\, Baccano\, Idylio by Apreda of The Pantheon Iconic Rome Hotel\, Ai Piani\, Osteria Chiari. \nDebuts “WAVES”: an installation symbolizing the territory\nDuring the day\, “ONDE” will make its official debut: a new project of the Alta Langa Consortium\, designed to tell the story of the territory of origin in an innovative way. The installation faithfully reproduces the contour lines of the Alta Langa DOCG area through a composition of thin layers of wood overlaid and painted in the distinctive yellow-gold shade. Characterized by a modern and recognizable design\, the model is intended to become an iconic element of the Consortium’s events\, offering geographical and narrative information about the extraordinary characteristics of the area of origin. A sea of hills that bears the memory of an ancient sea basin and that today houses the vineyards for the production of the Piedmontese metodo classico par excellence. \nThe cocktail: “Alta Langa Passion”\nThe event will feature a special cocktail created for the occasion by Giacomo Colamarino\, bar manager of Ai Piani Sottobanco: it is called Alta Langa Passion and combines Alta Langa DOCG with passion fruit syrup\, lime juice\, vodka\, as well as a lime garnish. \n“Alta Langa DOCG proves to be an Italian excellence capable of surprising even in mixing: with its elegant character and structure\, it was the perfect inspiration to create an exclusive cocktail\, designed to celebrate the meeting between Piedmont and Rome\,” comments Colamarino. \nUseful information\nThe appointment is for Monday\, June 16\, 2025\, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.\, at Spazio Field in Palazzo Brancaccio – with entrance from Via Merulana 248. \nThe event is reserved for Horeca and press operators and is free admission but with prior registration at this link.

SUMMARY:AMONTEFALCO: Benvenuti A Montefalco
DESCRIPTION:MONTEFALCO: Benvenuti A Montefalco! This year we do not invite you to take part in the Sagrantino Preview\, but we invite you to come “To Montefalco” \nAMONTEFALCO\, The new naming that encapsulates the sense of what this territory wants to tell today. A unique place in many respects\, thanks to the multifacetedness of its wines\, the quality of its productions and those who interpret the beauty of this piece of Italy every day. A heart that is becoming greener and that is taking another step forward in the area of sustainability. Here is what will emerge during this very special event that profoundly changes its concept. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAMONTEFALCO is land for wine\, it is no longer just Sagrantino and it is no longer just a Preview. The preview of the new vintage of Montefalco Sagrantino is joined by “real” previews\, that is\, previews of the vintages of wines coming out on the market\, in a journey at once vertical and horizontal. \nThere is an A that guides us\, the first letter of the alphabet that is a bit of a return to the roots. But it also indicates a desire to write new pages\, to start again\, to begin to tell a new story. \n\nAMONTEFALCO: Benvenuti A Montefalco is the event dedicated to the Previews of the area’s wines and will be characterized by the promotion of the territory with many novelties and extreme attention to the environment. The greatest desire is to open this territory to the world. The desire to make it known even more for the uniqueness of wines that come from a unique and unrepeatable territory. All this\, however\, without winking at fads or trends. Instead\, proposing the solidity of roots and history\, the emotions that memory can arouse if one thinks of Umbria\, of the territory of Montefalco\, understood as the municipalities that belong to the Montefalco and Spoleto appellations that are daughters of this land\, a land for wine and that makes hospitality one of its main attitudes. \nThe initiative is reserved for accredited journalists and practitioners. \nFor accreditation and all program information you can visit the official page

SUMMARY:Mare e Vitovska in Morje 2025
DESCRIPTION:Mare e Vitovska is the annual rendezvous with the most famous indigenous grape variety of the Trieste\, Gorizia and Slovenian Karst\, organized by the Association of Karst-Kras Winegrowers in the picturesque location of Duino Castle.\nThe vitovska\nVitovska is a unique grape variety that speaks of the Karst\, a borderland of rock and sea. It grows in that small corner of territory behind Trieste\, stretching eastward toward the Breg\, a small valley eroded and created over millennia by the Rosandra stream\, and westward toward the Italian and Slovenian Karst. Vitovska gives wines that transparently tell the authentic character of these fascinating lands\, rich in history and tradition. \nVitovska is a white grape variety that has always been grown in the province of Trieste and in areas of neighboring Slovenia. The origin of the name is still uncertain\, but the grape variety is probably of Slovenian origin. Some say it derives from the Slovenian word vitica (grape vine). \nUnlike other varieties whose ancient or recent origins are known\, Vitovska can be considered a native variety; in fact\, there is no trace of other varieties with which it can be identified in other regions of the Mediterranean\, and its history has been lost in the folds of centuries of local tradition\, reaching\, through a long process of adaptation and selection\, the current characteristics that allow it to give results in the red lands of the Karst where it is able to withstand\, whipped by the Bora\, the cold winters and the drought of the hot season. \nThe event\nMare e Vitovska is the annual rendezvous with Karst’s most famous native grape variety. \nTastings with food pairings by restaurateurs from the province of Trieste and beyond; a guided tasting by the AIS of Trieste\, a conference with the theme “Vitovska\, wine of the Karst\, an expression of its territory and those who grow it. Resistant to the trends of fickle viticultural fashion. What future has viticulture linked to native wines and its terroir?” \nCorner shops with typical Karst products such as wines\, cheeses\, cured meats\, sweets\, honey and extra virgin olive oil will be set up. \nThe 2025 edition of Mare e Vitovska in Morje will be held June 25-28 in the picturesque setting of Duino Castle in Trieste. The event was born out of a desire to promote and publicize local food and wine excellence. The event will be attended by producers from the Trieste Karst and those from the Slovenian Karst\, as well as some guest winemakers from other regions of Italy. \nCompleting the program: a gastronomic offer of the area paired with extreme care with the wines being tasted\, a conference\, a walk among the vineyards\, all in a cosmopolitan and international setting\, symbolized by the enchanting panorama overlooking the sea with views of Slovenia\, Croatia and the first Julian Alps. \nProgram\nWednesday\, June 25 \nFAI a tour of the vineyard\nWalk through the vineyards – Event organized by the local FAI office\nFor information and reservations write to trieste@delegazionefai.fondoambiente.it \nThursday\, June 26 \nWelcome dinner at Lokanda Devetak – www.devetak.com\nInfo and reservations – 0481 882488 | info@devetak.com \nFriday\, June 27 \n3:30 p.m. – Opening conference/tasting \n6 p.m. – 10 p.m. – Official opening of the event \nSaturday\, June 28 \n6 p.m. – 10 p.m. – Official opening of the event \nENTRANCE\nDuring the two-day event at the castle\, tickets will be put on sale only in case of good weather. In fact\, it remains largely the leading region with about 460\,000 hectoliters produced\, followed by Emilia Lambrusco Igt close to 135\,000 hectoliters. As for rosé wines as a whole\, in 2024 we produced pink wines for about two million one hundred and fifty thousand hectoliters\, registering a reduction of 7.6 percent over 2021. Basically\, the production of certified origin holds\, while the process of reduction of simpler productions that do not declare the origin continues.” \nOrganizational details\nAs every year\, Bererosa will take place with the Walk Around Tasting formula\, which will allow the public to taste absolutely fine labels\, walking freely through the enchanting Villa Appia Antica\, pairing them with a great selection of food proposals. SUMMARY:Sicilia in Bolle
DESCRIPTION:Sicilia in Bolle – the review of Sicilian sparkling wines: eleventh candle for the bubble festival of Ais Agrigento Caltanissetta\nThe Agrigento Caltanissetta delegation together with Ais Sicilia presents the biggest highlight of the entire season: the Sicilian bubbly review. \nThe event will span three days including thematic talks\, conferences\, masterclasses\, wine contests\, atmospheric sunset aperitifs and gala dinners\, with an appendix on mixology on July 7 \nAis Sicilia and Ais Agrigento Caltanissetta once again protagonists through its regional wine appreciation events. It is coming up\, in fact\, between July 12 and 14 next\, between Casa Diodoros in the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento and the Madison Restaurant in Realmonte\, the eleventh edition of “Sicilia in Bolle\,” the now archaic kermesse\, the most relevant of the entire program year\, which concerns the promotion of sparkling and sparkling wines from the entire island and beyond. \nSicilia in Bolle in the beginning a bet described as “impossible”\nThe first edition was born as a bet won by the then delegate of Ais Agrigento-Caltanissetta\, Francesco Baldacchino\, now president of Ais Sicilia\, who always tells that he picked up the provocation of a northern colleague who said that from Rome downwards it should be forbidden to produce sparkling wine. A goad that acted as a spur and spark\, and that leads today to narrate the eleventh time of this challenge taken up that gives luster to a sector that is always growing. \nThe idea\, then\, took shape during chats between the late Alberto Gino Grillo\, late sommelier to whom an Award and a contest have been dedicated for years\, and Baldacchino himself\, who\, together with the delegation operating group and in the evocative scenery of the Scala Dei Turchi\, succeeded in shaping from nothing to a then exceptional and singular event for Sicily. \n“Eleven years ago we never would have thought we would be able to collect this enormous success of acclaim\,” says Ais Sicilia President Francesco Baldacchino. An event that every year is always eagerly awaited by winelovers and wineries. The latter see their products enhanced through the tasting counters\, but also with thematic meetings\, masterclasses and dedicated talk shows. A peculiar moment in which sparkling wine is elevated to the undisputed prince of Sicilian viticulture and which also finds a way to compare itself with products from other Italian or foreign vocated areas\, such as Franciacorta\, Alta Langa or France for example.” \nBetween the Scala dei Turchi and the Valley of the Temples\nThere will be three days dedicated to Sparkling wines: Saturday\, July 12\, Sunday 13 and Monday 14. The Madison in Realmonte (AG)\, a restaurant right next to the Scala dei Turchi\, and the Valley of the Temples\, along the Coast of Myth\, in the province of Agrigento \, a city for 2025 designated a capital of culture\, will be the stage for this eventful 11th edition of “Sicilia in Bolle.” \nPlus an appendix on Monday\, July 7\, at “‘Nzolia\,” a restaurant wine bar\, in Agrigento in which the Mixology contest “Marisa Leo Memorial Prize” will see bartenders grappling with Sicilian sparkling wines. A tribute to creativity and talent. \nExpected to collaborate with two exclusive partners who will ensure a sure focus on quality and innovation: IRVO\, Regional Institute of Wine and Oil\, and CREA-VE\, a center that deals with viticulture and carries out activities to conserve and enhance national viticultural germplasm\, as well as promote cultivation techniques aimed at encouraging environmental sustainability. The two entities will be featured in an interesting conference on experimental sparkling wines moderated by Roberto Gueli\, deputy national director TGR Rai. \nA significant tribute to the shores of Agrigento.\n“Sicilia in Bolle” is not only a wine event\, but a true tribute to the territory. The choice of these exceptional locations fits perfectly into the project to enhance the Coast of Myth promoted by the Valley of the Temples Tourist District. An initiative that aims to enhance the scenic\, historical and cultural wonders of this stretch of the Agrigento coast\, offering visitors a complete immersion in the magic of ancient and contemporary Sicily. \nIn addition to the appointment that will raise the curtain on the event and which will cover the two most in vogue Sicilian autochthonous wines of the moment\, Grillo and Nero d’Avola\, there will be no less than three masterclasses located one per day. With some “incognito” wine glasses: \n\nsicilian varieties\nsparkling wine making according to the Classical Method\ncomparisons with different territorial production realities.\n\nWine contest\, sunset aperitif and gala dinner\nAlso scheduled for Monday 14 is the super panel of official tasters from Ais Sicilia and a number of journalists and restaurateurs who will try their hand at the wine competition\, decreeing blindly the best labels according to type and color. The competition will include in closing the presentation of the “Alberto Gino Grillo Award” for the different categories. \nAlso scheduled is an aperitif with sunset buffet at “Casa Diodoros” on Saturday\, July 12\, and the following evening\, that of Sunday\, July 13\, a gala dinner under the stars by chef Nino Ferreri of Bagheria’s “Limu” restaurant\, a Michelin star\, and chef Salvatore Gambuzza of the “Marriott Mangia’s Brucoli Resort” restaurant. \nDulcis in fundo and unfailing are the tasting counters at the closing of the event. SUMMARY:Siena - For a great white wine from inland Tuscany
DESCRIPTION:“For a great white wine from inland Tuscany”: at the Enoteca Italiana on July 18\, the challenge launched for tomorrow’s consumers\n\n“For a Great White Wine of Inland Tuscany.” A day of study\, starting at 10:30 a.m. July 18\, with an ambitious goal: to identify grape varieties and production processes capable of creating a great white wine in central Tuscany\, a land of great reds \nThe event is promoted by the Italian Academy of Vine and Wine\, Enoteca Italiana Siena\, Donne del Vino della Toscana and Ais Toscana \nJuly 18 at the Medici Fortress in Siena a study day\nOn July 18 at the Fortezza Medicea in Siena a study day “For a great white wine of inland Tuscany.” The title also represents the objective of this initiative promoted by the Italian Academy of Vine and Wine\, Donne del Vino of Tuscany and Enoteca Italiana Siena involving the main players in the supply chain not only in the region. \nAn area rich in great and emblazoned reds\, that of central Tuscany\, but which must look to the consumers of tomorrow by also focusing on a white wine of great character and quality\, starting with sharing between the scientific world and producers. \nAn ambitious project that finds substance on an important day for wine Tuscany. “Our region has a prevalence of red grape vines dominated by Sangiovese (65 percent)\, while the Italian and international market is turning to white wines\,” says Donatella Cinelli Colombini\, Delegate of the Donne del Vino of Tuscany\, “this criticality is among the reasons for the drop in sales of Tuscan wineries that has continued since 2022. The Tuscan coast successfully produces Vermentino and Ansonica while the historic white grape variety of the inland area\, Trebbiano Toscano (6.5 percent of the regional vineyard) is the only Italian white grape variety to lose hectares (-5 percent between 2005 and 2021). An abandonment perhaps linked to the lack of clonal selection and the use of production methods incapable of bringing out its quality potential. \nSiena’s central role\nThe appointment solemnizes the reopening of the Enoteca Italiana after more than a decade since its closure and is also intended to highlight the scientific potential of the Italian Academy of Vine and Wine\, which was founded in Siena on July 30\, 1949 and remained with its secretariat in this city until the end of the twentieth century. In short\, it is a reaffirmation of Siena’s role as the capital and engine of a great wine district. Working on the project are the Mayor of the city of Siena\, Nicoletta Fabio and the President of the Chamber of Commerce Massimo Guasconi in this case also represented by the Women’s Entrepreneurship Committee with Elisa Marcheselli. >”The presence in our premises of the Academy of Vine and Wine\, which was born in Siena itself 75 years ago\, and the Women of Wine Association is a moment of the highest symbolic value\, says Enoteca Italiana Siena President Elena D’Aquanno. It is a return to the origins of an oenological thought that has always combined science\, passion and vision. After years of silence\, with this event we return to being a living place of culture\, research and discussion. It is a strong signal: the culture of wine that thinks and innovates starts again from Siena.” \n“As an Academy we must support initiatives like this with the scientific input that characterizes us”-explains the President of the Italian Academy of Vine and Wine\, Rosario Di Lorenzo. “Doing so in this rediscovered venue and in this city that saw the birth of our project decades ago takes on an even more symbolic value that\, I hope\, does not end with just this initiative.” \nThe rich program of the initiative.\nThe study day at the Enoteca Italiana will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a tasting led by Cristiano Cini president of AIS Toscana. The tasting will feature 11 white wines produced by Donne del Vino in the inland part of the region using indigenous grape varieties (also blended with international grapes) and different winemaking techniques (registration required subject to availability). Widespread and spontaneous experimentation done by Miriam Caporali of Tenuta Valdipiatta\, Beatrice Contini Buonacossi of Tenuta di Capezzana\, Caterina Dei of Cantine Dei\, Cristiana Grati of Azienda Agricola Borgo Prunatelli\, Antonella Manuli of Fattoria La Maliosa\, Clara Monaci of Corte Dei Venti\, Lucia Mori of Podere Casaccia\, Annabella Pascale of Tenuta Di Artimino\, Veronica Passerin D’Entrèves of Dianella\, Mina Samouti of Fattoria Sardi\, Aurora Visentin of Cantina Del Testimone.\nThe presentation of the wines will be followed by a scientific conference\, at 2:30 p.m.\, led by Giovanni Pellicci\, editor of “I Grandi Vini” magazine. It is the starting point for research by Tuscan viticulture and oenology universities and Crea. And it is also the key point for looking to the future. Scholars from the Italian Academy of Vine and Wine\, Claudio D’Onofrio University of Pisa\, Giovan Battista Mattii University of Florence\, Paolo Storchi Crea\, Angela Zinnai oenologist University of Pisa\, will bring their contributions on current knowledge. \nThe goal of the day\nThe goal of this day will be\, as mentioned\, ambitious: to endow central Tuscany with a great white wine with distinctive characters. The Region of Tuscany\, which will be represented by the apex executives of the Department of Agriculture – Roberto Scalacci and Gennaro Giliberti – intends to support it and aim very high. It will be up to the Tuscan Wine Consortium with its President Cesare Cecchi to hold the reins of a path of research and experimentation in the footsteps of the “Chianti Classico 2000” project that in the second half of the 20th century gave Tuscany the Sangiovese clones for its great current red wines. \nTo attend the study day\, make reservations by sending an email to accademiaitalianavitevino@gmail.com

SUMMARY:Jazz & Wine in Montalcino
DESCRIPTION:Jazz & Wine in Montalcino: the festival born from the collaboration between the Banfi winery\, the Rubei family of the Alexanderplatz in Rome and the Municipality of Montalcino is back\nJazz & Wine in Montalcino. Great artists and quality glasses in a magical atmosphere to celebrate the happy union between jazz music and the city of Brunello. \nFor the 28th edition\, the festival presents a program featuring artists such as Enrico Pieranunzi\, Kenny Barron\, Malika Ayane\, Nicola Piovani\, Fabrizio Bosso and Javier Girotto\, Avishai Cohen \nFrom July 22 to 27\, Jazz & Wine in Montalcino returns.\nNow in its 28th year\, the festival is a collaboration between the renowned Banfi winery\, the Rubei family of the Alexanderplatz Jazz Club in Rome and the Municipality of Montalcino. \nIn these 28 years\, thanks to its original formula\, in which a cultural reality such as Alexanderplatz and a true patron such as Banfi collaborate side by side\, Jazz & Wine in Montalcino has attracted many of the most famous international and Italian jazz artists to its stage. Artistic direction by Eugenio Rubei\, who follows in the wake of the vision of its longtime artistic director\, Giampiero Rubei. The festival offers space for the most diverse proposals of the international jazz scene\, opening up to sporadic forays into pop: a mix of languages that wins and convinces by consecrating this billboard as one of the most beloved ever\, followed by an audience that – over time – continues to grow. \nTuesday\, July 22\nIt starts on Tuesday\, July 22\, in the picturesque setting of Castello Banfi\, with LEGEND OF JAZZ KENNY BARRON TRIO. Considered one of the world’s greatest jazz pianists\, celebrated for his lyrical and refined style\, Barron has recorded more than forty albums as a leader. He has also received numerous awards\, including 13 Grammy nominations and the title of NEA Jazz Master. For more than a decade he has led a close-knit trio with Kiyoshi Kitagawa on double bass and Johnathan Blake on drums. \nWednesday\, July 23\nOn Wednesday\, July 23\, also at Castello Banfi\, comes ENRICO PIERANUNZI TRIO. On stage alongside the well-known pianist\, an absolute excellence of Italian jazz\, will be Francesco Petreni\, a Sienese drummer of remarkable technical-musical quality\, and the phenomenal Danish double bassist Thomas Fonnesbaek\, with whom he has a long-standing collaboration from which intense and overwhelming albums have resulted. A trio not to be missed\, considered among the best European ensembles. \nThursday\, July 24 \nOn Thursday\, July 24 \, the festival moves to the medieval walls of the Montalcino Fortress where\, exclusively for Tuscany\, singer-songwriter MALIKA AYANE will perform. With five appearances at the Sanremo Festival\, she has won two “Mia Martini Critics’ Awards.” Six albums and numerous collaborations with artists such as Bocelli\, Cremonini\, Jazzanova\, to celebrate her fifteen-year career she is back live with Malika Ayane at Teatro 2024. \n Friday\, July 25\nA performance of great stature will take place on Friday\, July 25. On stage NICOLA PIOVANI ORCHESTRA with “Notes on the Margin\,” a kind of autobiographical tale commissioned from Nicola Piovani by the Cannes Film Festival in 2003 (under the title “Leçon Concert”). In the wake of memories and anecdotes\, the Maestro retraces some of the great encounters that have marked his path. From Federico Fellini\, fondly remembered for his small foibles and mastery as a director\, from the Taviani to Vincenzo Cerami and Roberto Benigni\, with episodes narrated with lightness and sincerity. Life experiences between music\, cinema\, and theater that Piovani recounts by accompanying them with the notes of his piano\, along with saxophone and double bass. Telling in music helps to understand the meaning of the tale of Piovani who emphasized “I do not remember a single moment in my life when there was not music.” \nThe concert is in collaboration with Winenews\, which strongly wanted the great artist in Montalcino\, on the Jazz & Wine stage. \nSaturday\, July 26\nOn Saturday\, July 26\, ahead of their 20th anniversary\, “Latin Mood\,” a group led by JAVIER GIROTTO and FABRIZIO BOSSO with “Desde cuando\,” return to the stage of Jazz & Wine in Montalcino. SUMMARY:Bolle in Vigna 2025 - Nicosia Estates
DESCRIPTION:Bolle in Vigna 2025 – Tenute Nicosia: The Metodo Classico of high altitude\, from Etna to the Andes\nAll set for Etna’s most effervescent event. Organized by Tenute Nicosia in collaboration with the Spumanti dell’Etna Association. by Francesco Chittari\, Bolle in Vigna is now in its sixth edition. The traditional event dedicated to Metodo Classico will be held on July 23 in the beautiful setting of the Nicosia family’s historic vineyards in contrada Monte Gorna\, Trecastagni. \nBolle in Vigna was born from the great passion for the Metodo Classico of Tenute Nicosia\, which for more than 15 years has been producing sparkling wines on Etna with the area’s native grape varieties: nerello mascalese and carricante. Thanks to its long experience and expertise in the field of Metodo Classico\, today Tenute Nicosia offers a range of labels with great personality\, capable of expressing the terroir’s potential to the fullest with aging on the lees for up to 60 months. It was precisely from Tenute Nicosia’s sparkling wine vocation that the desire arose to create a moment of encounter and in-depth study to spread the culture of the Metodo Classico\, through Etna’s versions and those made by producers from other Italian and foreign territories. \nThe Masterclass\nEvery year Bolle in Vigna offers an in-depth look at a particular theme related to the world of Metodo Classico. This year’s edition will be dedicated to the versions produced at high altitudes\, a theme that is not only linked to the territory of Etna\, but is also highly topical in relation to the consequences caused by the climatic crisis\, which is driving the search for vineyards at higher and higher altitudes to ensure ideal ripening of grapes with high levels of acidity. \nOn Wednesday\, July 23\, at 6:45 p.m.\, the Masterclass “Bubbles between Heaven and Earth\, the Classic Method of Altitude” will be held\, led by Daniela Scrobogna\, chair of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Sommelier Foundation. This year’s blind tasting will touch on some of the highest peaks of the Metodo Classico in Italy and the world\, comparing sparkling wines from Etna (‘A Muntagna for its inhabitants) with others from various territories\, even very different and distant from each other\, but united by the high altitude of the vineyards and a viticulture that can be defined\, in many cases\, as “heroic”: 8 high-altitude labels characterized by the fresh and crystalline profile\, typical of mountain wines. \nThree Saints Party\nAt 8:30 p.m.\, the traditional welcome saber rattling will kick off the festivities of the “Sosta Tre Santi Party\,” which once again this year features a program full of surprises\, music\, entertainment and prestigious guests\, who will take turns in the living room among the vines curated by the editorial staff of Living in The City\, this edition’s media partner. There will be no shortage of bubbles\, with the tasting counters of the latest disgorgements of the Metodo Classico Blanc de’ Noir\, Blanc de Blancs and Rosé Sosta tre Santi labels and the Etna Doc Bianco and Rosso wines from Tenute Nicosia‘s contrada Monte Gorna and contrada Monte San Nicolò\, the prestigious Trento Doc Ferrari sparkling wines and the cuvées of the famous Champagne maison Palmer & Co. \nIn the food area\, accompanying the kitchen team of L’Osteria di Cantine Nicosia\, led by Chef Salvo Baudo\, will be live preparations by some of the protagonists of the Etna gastronomic scene. Uzeta Bistrò and Bavetta\, interpreters in Catania of the new-generation osteria formula; the pizzeria Crescenzio in Giarre\, one of the best pizzas in Sicily according to Gambero Rosso; Forno Biancuccia with its bread made with whole-wheat flours from Sicilian durum wheat\, included in the Slow Food Travel circuit and awarded for the third consecutive year with the Three Breads on the “Bread & Panettieri d’Italia” guide by Gambero Rosso; and then again a corner dedicated to cured meats of excellence with Mortadella ‘Favola’ Gran Riserva from the historic Salumificio di Modena Palmieri and Prosciutto cotto from the renowned Turin-based brand Lenti. \nAlso enlivening the evening is a mixology corner with Amaro ‘Amara‘-based cocktails. Entertainment is assured with live music by the Dammen Quart et (first all-female string quartet in Sicily). Plus the final DJ set\, to close in beauty a rich program organized thanks to the collaboration with Francesco Chittari’s Spumanti dell’Etna Association and the support of main sponsors Comer Sud\, Meccanismi and Natale Nicotra Gioielli 1923. \nUseful information\nFor more information and to purchase tickets for the Masterclass and Party Sosta Tre Santi: \nwww.tenutenicosia.it/bolle-in-vigna-2025-mercoledi-23-luglio-la-sesta-edizione-della-festa-del-metodo-classico-etneo \n
