For four days\, Catania will host the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles – Sweet and Fortified Wines Session\, the largest wine competition in the world\, organized by Vinopress and PRC Repubbliche\, in collaboration with the Sicilian Region\, Department of Agriculture\, and IRVO\, Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily. \nForty jurors from all over the world will evaluate the enoic universe of sweet\, fortified and oxidative wines\, expressions of a centuries-old tradition in which Sicily is one of the most important regions in terms of historicity and prospects. \nThe event will welcome producers\, winemakers\, journalists and international tasters\, transforming the city into a global stage dedicated to wines that are not only production excellence but also cultural expressions of communities. Among the most relevant appointments is a roundtable discussion on the path to UNESCO recognition of the wines of the Sun Belt Zone (Marsala\, Jerez and Samos). A cultural diplomacy project that aims to recognize the universal value of wine-making traditions that have marked the history of the Mediterranean. \nGreat space will also be devoted to innovation and sustainability. Focus on climate change\, biodiversity and the enhancement of native grape varieties as strategic resources for the future of Mediterranean viticulture. The masterclasses will be conducted by Pietro Russo MW and oenologist Giuseppe Figlioli\, in a sensory journey that combines technical knowledge\, popularization and culture. \nSicily is the ideal place to turn the spotlight on wines that embody tradition\, innovation and cultural identity. Wine here is living culture\, the fruit of the communities that have cherished and passed it on. SUMMARY:Panzano in Chianti - Vino al Vino 2025
DESCRIPTION:Vino al Vino 2025: On Sept. 19\, 20 and 21\, Panzano in Chianti celebrates the territory and 30 years of the Union of\nWinemakers\nThe Union of Winegrowers of Panzano in Chianti\nFrom September 19 to 21\, 2025 Vino al Vino\, the annual event that brings together the wineries of the Union of Winegrowers of Panzano\, returns to Panzano in Chianti. An event dedicated to wine-making excellence\, territorial identity and direct dialogue between producers and the public. \nThis year’s edition takes on a special significance. In fact\, it marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Union of Winegrowers of Panzano in Chianti\, established in 1995 on the occasion of the first edition of Vino al Vino. The Union of Winegrowers of Panzano in Chianti was the first winegrowers’ association founded in the Chianti Classico territory\, with the intention of promoting viticulture that respects the environment and is deeply rooted in the land that generates it. \nDuring the event\, visitors will be able to taste a selection of more than 80 labels between Chianti Classico and IGT\, confronting themselves directly with the producers present. A unique opportunity to discover the fruit of work based on consistency\, quality and sustainability. \nToday the Panzano Winegrowers’ Union represents almost the entire UGA (Additional Geographical Unit) of Panzano with a vineyard area of 595 hectares. Currently 95% of the vineyards are certified organic. This is an extraordinary achievement\, the result of a journey that began in 2012 when Panzano was recognized as Italy’s first viticultural biodistrict with 60 percent of the vineyard area already converted to organic. A pioneering model that set the standard and still represents a point of reference in the national wine scene. \nThe work of the Union has been accompanied from the beginning by a strong spirit of collaboration. The founding companies1 created a collective project that networked skills and values\, building over the years a shared identity capable of enhancing the quality of the wines and the authentic link between land\, culture and tradition. \nThanks also to the constant dialogue with the SPEVIS Experimental Station\, the Panzano area has become a true laboratory of sustainable viticulture\, capable of combining enological excellence\, biodiversity protection and agronomic innovation. \nVino al Vino 2025 confirms the centrality of this journey\, celebrating with visitors 30 years of history\, community and love of wine. \nThe event\nAppointment in Piazza Bucciarelli\, Panzano in Chianti (FI)\, with 22 participating wineries – more than 80 wines for tasting \nOpening hours: \n\nFriday\, September 19: 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.\nSaturday\, September 20: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.\nSunday\, September 21: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.\n\nOnline presale with 10% discount at www.viticoltoripanzano.com\nUnder the patronage of the Municipality of Greve in Chianti

SUMMARY:Bra - Cheese 2025
DESCRIPTION:Cheese 2025\, there’s a world around it! The biennial event dedicated to cheese lovers returns to Bra. \n\nCheese 2025\, the biennial event dedicated to cheese lovers and especially to the infinite variations that this food can have\, returns to Bra. Each cheese manages to express its land\, its traditions\, its origin\, the passion of the producer and the power of nature\, of knowing how to wait\, how to age\, how to interpret. \nDefinitely Cheese is the most appropriate event for those who want to test the nuances and emotions that cheeses can give\, as well as the pairings that can be invented. \nCheese and Slow Food\nSince the first edition in 1997\, many things have changed\, both in the event\, which has grown a great deal\, becoming a real point of reference for dairy production\, and in the production of this amazing food itself\, as well as on the knowledge that the final consumer has of it. This is also thanks to the work done by Slow Food\, which has carried this event forward with a series of Tastings\, Taste Workshops\, Working Tables\, Conferences\, explanations and comparisons. In addition to having preserved a series of cheeses that were in danger of disappearing and that today can instead boast the title of Slowfood Presidia. A way to also save and help artisanal work that too often risks being crushed\, forgotten\, erased. One of the most fascinating things then is to meet the producers who come from all over the world\, with their products\, their passion and their incredible stories. \nThe theme of the 2025 edition: raw milk cheeses\nThe 15th edition of Cheese wants to tell the world around raw milk\, explain what it represents\, and reveal its value (environmental\, social\, cultural and economic) also\, and above all\, from a future perspective. \nAround a raw milk cheese there is a world of pastures\, meadows\, forests\, herbs\, flowers and scents. There is ancient knowledge\, there is care for the landscape and the land\, there are local breeds. And honeys\, and wools-and the work of those who want a different future. More harmonious\, more conscious\, more true. \n\nUseful information\nPublic opening hours: Friday through Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.\, Monday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. \nItalian and international market\, with Slow Food Presidia and refiners and selectors\, Friday through Sunday\, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Monday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. \nWine Shop\, Street Kitchens\, Food trucks\, Craft Breweries\, Friday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Monday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. \nAs always\, admission is free. Fees are charged for some of the scheduled events\, such as the Taste Workshops and others that will be duly noted. All events and the market take place in the squares\, courtyards and streets of Bra’s historic center. \nAt www.slowfood.it the program with all the must-see events and new features of the 2025 edition! \n

SUMMARY:Oltrepò: land of Pinot Noir
DESCRIPTION:Oltrepò: land of Pinot Noir. Italy’s Blanc de noirs turns 160\, among bubbles\, territory and visions of the future in the heart of Oltrepò Pavese \nEdition 2025 of Oltrepò: land of Pinot Noir. \nThe fifth edition of the Classese Consortium event aims to be a meeting space for producers\, press and industry professionals but with important new features. \nOn September 21 and 22\, Oltrepò Pavese will tell its story through “Oltrepò: Land of Pinot Noir\,” in its fifth edition. An event conceived by the Oltrepò Pavese Classese Consortium in order to create an authentic moment of encounter between producers\, press\, industry professionals and – for the first time – also enthusiasts. \nSunday\, Sept. 21 in fact\, will be open to all. From 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.\, wine lovers will be able to access the tasting tables\, meet the producers and taste wines from 30 wineries in the area. Tickets can be purchased online at the price of 35 euros (25 euros for AIS\, FISAR\, ONAV members and students). \nThe event will be framed by an unprecedented location\, the village of Golferenzo\, “one of the most beautiful villages in Italy\,” an emblem of an area that has decided to bet everything on quality and identity. \nThe Metodo Classico DOCG\, destined to become Classese.\nDuring the two days\, the spotlight will be on the Metodo Classico DOCG\, destined to become Classese\, the symbol of the new appellation and its vision for the future\, and the traditional and prized Pinot Noir DOC vinified in red. \nBlanc de noirs is indeed the star of the event. In February\, the Consortium’s assembly almost unanimously endorsed a decisive step: the new DOCG regulations\, which introduce the name Classese and a series of standards geared toward enhancing quality. This is a historic moment\, coming in the very year in which we celebrate 160 years since the birth of the Metodo Classico in Oltrepò\, with the first bottles sparkling in Rocca de’ Giorgi in 1865. \nIt is not just a name change\, but a vision: to make Oltrepò Pavese the first appellation in the world founded on the Metodo Classico from Pinot Noir grapes vinified in white. An ambitious\, forward-looking bet rooted in a long history\, but ready to be written anew. \nUseful information\nOrganizing secretariat and operator accreditation: Scaramuzzi Team +39 055 494949\nEvent Press Office: AB Communication pressoffice@ab-comunicazione.it\nPurchase tickets: https://eventboost-ticketing.myshopify.com/

DESCRIPTION:Prosecco Cycling: The world by bike among the Prosecco hills!\nCountdown to the 2025 edition of Prosecco Cycling\, which on Sunday\, September 28\, will parade the 100-kilometer course through the vineyards\, involving fans from 29 nations and great guests. A unique format between timed climbs and gourmet stops. Departure at 8:30 a.m. from Piazza Marconi in Valdobbiadene. Friday at Villa Sandi the International Meeting on Sustainable Mobility with the organizers of the most attended cycling events on the planet. \nThe 2025 edition\nProsecco Cycling 2025\, scheduled for Sunday\, September 28\, in Valdobbiadene\, confirms its role as a unique international cycling event. Now in its 22nd edition\, the event will see the participation of more than 2\,600 registered participants from 29 nations\, with about 800 foreigners and a strong female presence (25 percent). The itinerary will be a unique route of 100 km and 1510 meters of elevation gain\, crossing all 15 municipalities of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Appellation\, a UNESCO World Heritage Site from 2019. \nHe who goes slow wins\nThe philosophy of the race remains unchanged: less competition\, more fun. It’s not whoever is fastest that wins\, but whoever can best enjoy the experience. The arrival of the last runner is celebrated as a highlight\, with toasts and giant cake. To reinforce the “slow” spirit\, a minimum time of 3 hours and 10 minutes has been introduced\, which prevents the race from being approached at an overly competitive pace. There is no shortage of gourmet stops along the route\, including the 2025 novelty: tripe and Prosecco at Col San Martino\, in addition to the traditional appointments with tiramisu\, scampi and typical specialties. \nA unique format\nThe ranking format is also peculiar. At the individual level\, the result is determined only by times on three timed climbs: Via Busi\, Ca’ del Poggio and Collalto. Team rankings include the Fun Team\, which rewards the most compact group\, the ranking by the number of cyclists who arrived together\, and the We2gether\, which enhances the team with the most creative setting. This formula allows simultaneous participation in all rankings. \nProsecco Cycling is not just pedaling: it is a true festival of the area. In addition to the cyclists\, the event generates an important tourist inducement\, with about 2\,000 overnight stays and 70 percent of participants staying for at least two nights. Rounding out the experience is the Grand Tour Gourmet\, which offers participants discount vouchers for restaurants and tastings spread among wineries and typical establishments. At the finish line\, students from hotel and agricultural schools will offer tastings of PDO products paired with Prosecco Superiore. \nAmong the most anticipated guests are well-known faces in cycling such as Claudio Chiappucci and Marco Saligari\, international managers and institutional figures. There will be no shortage of side events such as Joe T Vannelli’s DJ set in Marconi Square. \nInternational Meeting on Sustainable Mobility\nOn the international front\, Prosecco Cycling also promotes sustainability. The International Meeting on Sustainable Mobility\, scheduled for September 26 at Villa Sandi\, will feature representatives from New York\, Vancouver\, Cape Town and Tokyo. It is precisely the Japanese capital that will join the World Cycling Sustainable Events project\, which unites the world’s major cycling events under the banner of green mobility. \nTeam spirit\nBehind the scenes\, the success of the event is made possible by the work of more than 1\,300 people\, including professionals\, volunteers and local associations. In more than two decades\, Prosecco Cycling has turned into much more than a race: it is a great event of sport\, culture\, food and wine and territorial promotion\, capable of attracting cyclists and tourists from all over the world to celebrate the Prosecco hills.

Tradition\, spirituality and winemaking innovation between past\, present and future. \nThe Vittorio and Mariella Moretti Foundation will host\, at the evocative Convent of Santissima Annunciata in Franciacorta\, the conference “Wine culture and the identity of territories: the work of abbeys\,” organized by Abbey Wines and scheduled for Saturday\, October 4\, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. \nThe appointment promises to be a moment of professional discussion on the theme of the link between wine culture and territory\, focusing on the historical and contemporary role of abbeys in the enhancement of the landscape\, the dissemination of agricultural knowledge and the custody of the spirit of places. Tradition\, spirituality and innovation will be the keys to interpreting a day that intends to restore value to a shared heritage deeply rooted in Italian history and\, in particular\, in that of the Franciacorta territory\, which owes its orientation to a viticulture of excellence precisely to the work of the abbeys. \nThe Convent of the Most Holy Annunciation\nThe choice of the Convent of the Santissima Annunciata as the venue for the conference is deeply symbolic: a place of great historical\, spiritual and architectural value\, since 2018 it has been entrusted by the Order of the Servants of Mary to the Vittorio and Mariella Moretti Foundation\, which has taken on the commitment to take care of its management and return it to the community as a center of culture and hospitality. As stated by Carlo Petrini\, who participated in the formalization of the delegation by the Friars to the VMM Foundation: ” The Convent of the Santissima Annunciata is to be a place of community\, a space where the beautiful and the good coincide. A common good returned to the area through the vision and generosity of those who care for it “. \nSpeakers\nThe conference will feature speakers from the monastic\, academic and business worlds including: \n\nVittorio Moretti\, President of the Vittorio and Mariella Moretti Foundation\nRenzo Cotarella\, CEO of Marchesi Antinori and production manager of Badia a Passignano [Florence].\nAttilio Scienza\, Professor of Viticulture\, University of Milan\nDon Andrea Santus\, Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore [Siena].\nFather Stefano Visintin\, Praglia Abbey [Padua].\nWerner Waldboth\, Director of Sales & Marketing Abbey of Novacella [Bolzano].\nManfred Bernard\, winemaker in charge of the winery at the Benedictine Convent of Muri-Gries [Bolzano].\nFather Luigi Cavagna\, Franciscan Convent Rodengo Saiano [Brescia]\, Rector Academy Symposium\nBrother Michele Badino\, Monastery of Bose [Assisi].\n\nKey institutional authorities will also be involved: the Minister of Agriculture\, the Regional Minister of Agriculture\, the Mayors of Franciacorta\, representatives of Coldiretti\, AIS Lombardia\, Consorzio della Franciacorta and Strada del Vino della Franciacorta. Rocco Tolfa\, RAI journalist\, will coordinate the conference. \nTasting of a selection of Abbey wines\nAt the end of the meeting it will be possible to taste a selection of wines from the abbeys present through tasting benches curated by Ais Lombardia. An opportunity to discover ancient winemaking traditions and meet those who still preserve them today. \nHow to participate\nThe conference is free admission\, by reservation only and subject to availability. Information and detailed program are available at https://vinidabbazia.com/la-cultura-del-vino-e-lidentita-dei-territori-lopera-delle-abbazie/ \nThe initiative is part of the busy program of events organized on the same day by the Vittorio and Mariella Moretti Foundation. An open day – from 8 a.m. until midnight – at the Convento dell’Annunciata entitled “Come in famiglia\,” to be together among nature trails\, workshops\, readings and meetings. To give back to this ancient place its dimension of a living and open space\, where culture\, nature\, spirituality and sense of community can intertwine in an authentic way. The event has received the patronage of the Fondazione Italia Patria della Bellezza\, created with the aim of promoting initiatives that “focus on the value of beauty\, Italy’s true talent.” \nProgram of the day at www.fvmm.it

SUMMARY:Scents of Must
DESCRIPTION:The Valtènesi Consortium celebrates the grape harvest with the 24th edition of Profumi di Mosto\, a journey to discover a unique territory among winery visits\, flavors and landscapes\nThe Valtènesi Consortium\nThe guardian of authentic rosé in Italy\, the Valtènesi Consortium represents one of the most identifiable and refined expressions of our wine scene. Set in the DOC Riviera del Garda Classico\, this sub-area boasts a centuries-old tradition that began in 1896 with Senator Molmenti\, who first codified the rosé technique. Here\, between lake and hills\, wine is culture\, identity and aesthetic research. Thanks to the unique microclimate of Lake Garda\, the Valtènesi is the northernmost area in Europe where olives and lemons grow. Since 2010 the subzone has been officially recognized\, consecrating its role as the home of authentic rosé. Today the consortium brings together 102 producers\, mostly independent winemakers\, custodians of a short and sustainable supply chain\, who preserve the gentle\, pioneering vision of their origins every day. \nThe 24th edition of Scents of Must\nGreat expectations are high for the 24th edition of Profumi di Mosto\, the widespread event celebrating the grape harvest through a unique itinerary among wines\, flavors and landscapes in Valtènesi. A journey on the Brescia side of Lake Garda among twenty-five wineries that will open their doors. A journey then to discover an extraordinary territory\, where the Mediterranean microclimate meets hills and villages suspended between lake and sky. On the hills between Desenzano and San Felice del Benaco\, through the inland municipalities (Calvagese\, Bedizzole and Puegnago) and the coastal ones (Moniga\, Manerba and Padenghe)\, guests will be taken on an experiential tour to discover the wines produced mainly with the native Groppello and Tuchì grape varieties. \nAt each winery\, participants will find three wines for tasting\, paired with a gastronomic sample designed to enhance their aromas and identity. It will be possible to freely construct one’s own itinerary or be guided by one of the three-stage thematic tours\, designed to tell the story of the different souls of Valtènesi\, from the views of the lake to the hills of the hinterland. Nine tours\, each with unique features reflecting the identities of the wineries. \nOct. 19 special day at the House of Wine\nThe 2025 edition also reserves an exclusive appointment. Those who buy a ticket for 2 wineries or a three-stage tour will have access to the special day on October 19 at the Casa del Vino\, where all the labels of the Valtènesi appellation will be on tasting. A unique opportunity to learn more about the wines that best tell the story\, memory and identity of this noble and profound land. \nParticipating in Profumi di Mosto means having an authentic sensory experience. The scents of must and wine blend with the flavors of gastronomic tradition\, in the unique atmosphere of the grape harvest among hills and glimpses of Lake Garda. It is an invitation to slow tourism\, a relaxed journey from winery to winery that allows you to discover unique villages and landscapes. But it is above all an opportunity to connect with a territory. Not just tastings\, but direct meetings with producers\, exchange of stories and values\, discovery of typical products and authentic hospitality. \nHow it works:\n\nOn Sunday\, October 5\, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.\, pow you can choose how many wineries to visit or which 3-winery tour to participate in. \nFor each individual participant\, reservations are required no later than 04 October 2025 \n\nReservations are already open and all information is available on the official website www.profumidimosto.it \n
