SUMMARY:St. Faustino's Party
DESCRIPTION:St. Faustino’s Party\, Not Just Couples. On Feb. 15\, Hotel Diana Roof Garden celebrates the feast of St. Faustinus\, patron saint of singles \n Between music\, DJ sets\, cocktails and gourmet delicacies\, all strictly themed\, an evening dedicated to “oddballs” of all ages \n Singles also celebrate. After the customary Valentine’s Day celebration\, Rome’s Hotel Diana Roof Garden is launching an evening dedicated to all (momentarily) lonely hearts in search of a soul mate. And it does so under the auspices of St. Faustinus\, patron saint of singlethood\, whose celebration falls on February 15\, this year in the midst of Carnival. \nThe menu designed by chef Umberto Vezzoli.\nSo here\, from 7 p.m. onward\, is San Faustino’s Party\, a festive cocktail prolongé with music and DJ set reserved for “oddballs” of all ages. Full of gourmet proposals strictly in theme\, designed by chef Umberto Vezzoli. \nSuch as the Hot in the City\, composée of mini hot dogs of chicken and pistachios or shrimp and vegetables\, wrapped in shuttles of colorful bread\, or A Broken Couple\, re-interpretation of the classic fish&chips\, with tempura cod\, crispy octopus\, yogurt sauce and potato sticks. All to enjoy then is the Red Passion\, bewitching red beet risotto\, along with the Trancio di cuori\, a selection of pizzas\, pincas and pizzottas with the most mouth-watering toppings\, and the Burger solitaire\, slim burgers of beef\, salmon or vegetables. Don’t miss the Seeking the Middle dessert\, from the double dark chocolate and berry mousse. \nSparking the Brescian chef’s imagination are the common origins with the patron saint: since St. Faustino\, in addition to supporting Signorini&signorine\, is also the protector of the city Lioness of Italy. “February 15 is a date I have always carried in my heart\,” Vezzoli explains. “In fact\, in Brescia\, in honor of the saint\, a big fair is held every year \, with stalls\, handicrafts and food specialties. And along the crowded streets of the historic center was always an opportunity for unexpected encounters\, favored of course From St. Faustinus. Who\, I am sure\, will be benevolent here in Rome as well….” \nAlso in theme with the evening of course are the drinks\, designed for the occasion by Gianluca Storchi\, bartender at Diana Cocktail Bar. Which wines? Faustino’s Spritz\, made with vodka\, rosé wine and elderflower\, light and floral\, ideal for a sparkling courtship. \nBut also the Solo Solo\, bitter Americano with red vermouth and Cynar\, gritty and stimulating\, perfect for amorous redemptions. Not to mention Mi Accaserei\, fruity and persuasive\, with rum\, Aperol\, passion fruit and Peachtree\, for a more than overt and sincere approach. \nThe hospitality of the Hotel Diana\nPromoter and creator of the party Caterina De Angelis\, owner and food&beverage manager of the hotel. ” We really like to create events that are a bit out of the ordinary: the fact that the Diana has belonged to our family for more than 86 years allows us not only to give life to a customer-friendly reception\, but also to organize new happenings in the sign of our very personal creativity. \nIn a city like Rome\, where hospitality is increasingly standardized\, declined according to the rules of big brands\, we do just the opposite. Because while pursuing standards of the highest efficiency and business evolution\, we continue to give a family imprinting to all our activities. The Feast of St. Faustinus\, along with the many others in the pipeline for 2026\, is precisely among them.” \n San Faustino\, between history and legend. \nA Roman knight who lived in the second century AD\, he was martyred in Brescia along with his brother Jovita for converting to Christianity. Tradition has it that even in his lifetime he favored encounters between young people in search of sincere love\, causing them to meet the right person at the right time\, especially in the case of unmarried young women without dowries. The etymology of the name\, derived from Latin faustus\, propitious\, bringing good luck\, no doubt contributed to this. In our days\, the assonance with the term Valentine and the fact that the holiday falls immediately after February 14\, Lovers’ Day\, has contributed to the birth of the holiday dedicated to singles: perpetuating more than two millennia later the auspicious value of this Christian figure. \nUseful information\n\nWhen: Sunday\, Feb. 15\, 2026 from 7 p.m.\nWhere: The Uliveto Roof Garden – Hotel Diana**** – via Principe Amedeo\, 4 – Rome\nContact: www.hoteldianaroma.com – www.lulivetoroofgarden.it

DESCRIPTION:L’Altra Toscana 2026 preview: in Florence\, the tale of lesser-known appellations\nOn Feb. 18\, 2026\, Anteprima L’Altra Toscana returns to Florence\, the event that\, as part of Tuscany Preview Week\, turns the spotlight on a wine Tuscany that is less celebrated but increasingly central in terms of quality\, identity and expressive capacity. The event is hosted at the Palazzo degli Affari (Piazza Adua 1) and brings together 11 PDOs and 1 PGI\, with their respective Consortia\, to tell the story of a wine region rich in nuances\, territories and different stories. \nL’Altra Toscana represents that mosaic of appellations that\, although far from the great media spotlight\, contribute substantially to the regional wine offer\, bringing authentic wines to the glasses\, strongly linked to the territory and increasingly appreciated by the press\, operators and enthusiasts. Inland hills\, coastal areas\, historic areas and less-traveled contexts: here viticulture has been rooted for centuries and today expresses itself with an ever-growing awareness of quality. \nAlongside the historic producers of the territories\, the L’Altra Toscana Preview also recounts the contribution of emblazoned names in Italian oenology\, who have chosen these appellations to interpret new terroirs\, enhancing their identity and broadening the expressive horizon of Tuscan wine. A varied ensemble that increasingly intrigues the public and confirms the strategic role of these PDOs and PGIs in the regional panorama. A route that crosses territories from the hills to the sea\, offering a broad and articulated reading of wine Tuscany\, far from stereotypes and increasingly attentive to local peculiarities. \nProgram\nWednesday\, February 18\, 2026 – Palazzo degli Affari\, FlorenceHours: \n\n9:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.Tasting reserved for accredited press\, with a la carte sommelier service\n2:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.Tasting by reservation for industry professionals\n\nAdmission is by reservation only \nAnteprima L’Altra Toscana 2026 thus confirms itself as a fundamental moment to understand the plurality of Tuscan viticulture\, enhancing denominations that\, together\, represent a significant part of regional production and contribute to making Tuscany one of the most complex and fascinating viticultural areas in Italy. \nUseful information\nPreview L’Altra Toscana is part of the official calendar of Tuscany Preview Week: https://www.anteprimetoscane.it

SUMMARY:Rome - Luca Maroni's Best Italian Wines 2026
DESCRIPTION:Luca Maroni’s Best Italian Wines 2026: Rome hosts the 25th edition of the event dedicated to Italian wine excellence\nFrom Feb. 20-22\, 2026\, Rome will once again become the capital of Italian wine with Luca Maroni’s I Migliori Vini Italiani\, a historic event celebrating its 25th edition in 2026. \nThe venue for the event is once again the Salone delle Fontane at EUR\, which will welcome winelovers\, industry professionals and the press for three days of tastings\, meetings and in-depth discussions dedicated to the best of national wine production. \nThe event in brief\nConceived and curated by Luca Maroni\, an internationally renowned sensory analyst\, together with Francesca Romana Maroni\, CEO of Sens Eventi\, the event represents one of the longest-running and most popular events on the Italian wine scene. The well-established format focuses on free and unlimited tastings\, allowing visitors to build their own tasting path without constraints\, following taste\, curiosity and personal sensibility. \nThe tasting will feature hundreds of wineries from all regions of Italy\, including the islands\, selected for the sensory quality of their labels\, an expression of the country’s extraordinary wine biodiversity. \nWhat’s new in this edition\nNew in this edition of I Migliori Vini Italiani will be an in-depth look atdealcoholic wines \n\, which have been the subject of much talk in recent weeks on the occasion of the approval of the interministerial decree on the taxation of their production. Maroni’s goal will be to shed light on low-alcohol and no-alcohol wines that\, despite the continuous growth in demand on the global market\, raise numerous doubts. \nThe event will also be\, as it is every year\, an opportunity to pull the strings of the past 12 months\, taking a timely snapshot of the state of wine in Italy: “Never has the standard of quality of all Italian wine denominations and types been so high\, especially that of the cheaper\, high-volume wines. As for quality/price and quality/quantity ratio\, Italian wine competes at the highest level in the world.” That’s because\, as Maroni himself specifies in the preface to the Yearbook of the Best Italian Wines 2026\, while the most emblazoned labels have reached sky-high prices\, lovers of good wine\, thanks to the Italian Wine Renaissance that began in the 1980s\, can now buy bottles of exceptional analytical and sensory quality\, at very competitive prices. \nItaly’s viticulture of excellence attracts like few other countries for its richness\, biodiversity and tradition\, but to show what is happening in the rest of the world as well\, an engaging in-depth workshop on South American wines will take place curated by Luca Maroni during which visitors will be able to discover them by following a narrative that is both technical and perfectly understandable. \nAn additional workshop on different sparkling wine methods will enrich the event\, with tastings of some fine labels. \nAs always\, the event will also be enlivened by focus-edited by Francesca Maroni-on some gastronomic products for tasting that fully express the most authentic traditions of our territory. \nThe program of The Best Italian Wines 2026\nIt will feature the best productions of hundreds of companies\, from every corner of Italy\, selected for their careful work and respect for the grape fruit that is found in its integrity inside the glass. \nMany events will enliven the three-day event: \nThursday\, Feb. 19 (invitation-only event)\n\nGala evening reserved for institutions and producers\, in the Salone delle Fontane. SUMMARY:Rome - Verticale of Sassicaia at Cellar Sommelier
DESCRIPTION:Verticale Tasting of Sassicaia with Cellar Sommelier: an exclusive evening dedicated to one of the iconic wines of Italian excellence\nOn Thursday\, February 26\, 2026\, Rome’s Cellar Sommelier Enoteca is organizing a unique vertical tasting\, accompanied by a dinner with specially designed food pairings from Rome’s Song restaurant. \nA not-to-be-missed event for enthusiasts and collectors who wish to delve into one of Italy’s most iconic wines through a guided vertical tasting and a dinner designed down to the smallest detail. \nThe organization: Cellar Sommelier\nThe tasting is organized by Cellar Sommelier\, a refined wine shop and wine bar located in Rome’s Prati district. Known for its curated selection of Italian and international labels\, it offers an intimate and welcoming environment that combines wine culture and conviviality. \n The wine shop is distinguished by programming focused on verticals\, thematic tastings and in-depth meetings with great Italian and international labels\, often difficult to find on the market or presented in vintages of particular historical-critical interest. \nThe tasting: a journey into the myth of Sassicaia\nThe absolute star of the evening will be Tenuta San Guido‘s celebrated Sassicaia\, an iconic wine of the Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC appellation and an international benchmark for so-called “Supertuscans.” \nSassicaia marked a momentous turning point for Italian oenology\, putting Bolgheri on the map of great international terroirs. Born from the intuition of Marquis Mario Incisa della Rocchetta\, Sassicaia represents a Bordeaux reading of the Mediterranean\, based on a predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon blend with a share of Cabernet Franc\, capable of combining structure\, aromatic finesse and extraordinary ageing capacity. \nThrough a selection of four vintages – 2017\, 2019\, 2020 and 2022 – participants will explore the stylistic and aromatic evolution of this great red\, discovering how weather and climatic conditions influence the wine’s profile. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDinner paired with Song Dimsum restaurant. \nThe tasting will be accompanied by a dedicated gastronomic itinerary\, currently being defined\, designed to enhance the characteristics of each vintage being tasted. The dinner is organized by Song Dimsum Restaurant\, a Roman reality in which tradition meets modernity. Chinese cuisine\, declined in the purest Hong Kong style\, evolves to offer a unique and enveloping experience. \nChef Lin Sang Chu has forty years of experience in the world’s most prestigious establishments\, from the Kowloon Peninsula via Paris and London. His style expresses all the deep knowledge and great passion in the preparation of his “creations\,” an explosion of flavors and aromas of Chinese cuisine\, offering a unique and unforgettable experience. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nProgram of the evening\n\nThe tasting will be held on Thursday\, February 26\, 2026 beginning at 8:00 pm. \nIn tasting: \n\nSassicaia 2022 – Tenuta San Guido\nSassicaia 2020 – Tenuta San Guido\nSassicaia 2019 – Tenuta San Guido\nSassicaia 2017 – Tenuta San Guido\n\nAll accompanied by a dinner with dedicated food pairings. \nUseful information and reservations\nThe cost of the evening is 260 euros per person\, and reservations will be confirmed only upon payment in advance. \nFor information and reservations:Enoteca Cellar Sommelier – RomeEmail: cellarsommelier@gmail.comTel: +39 347 3341510
