SUMMARY:Verona - Vinitaly and the City
DESCRIPTION:Vinitaly and the City reignites Verona: three days of toasts for winelovers in the heart of the city\nVinitaly and the City: wine tourism in the spotlight\, in a direct thread from the arena to the valpolicella wine route \nThe heart of Verona beats to the rhythm of wine once again\, as from April 10 to 12 it is transformed for Vinitaly and The City\, the fuori salone dedicated to wine enthusiasts from all over Italy that every year accompanies the start of Vinitaly with initiatives and appointments dedicated to promoting products\, territories and\, above all\, the culture of wine. With a mosaic of appointments ranging from tastings to masterclasses\, from guided tours to literary events and from talks to dance evenings\, the three-day event is a unique opportunity to discover\, through the lens of a glass of wine\, the wonders of the UNESCO World Heritage city\, and more. \n“In parallel with what will happen at the fair\, this year Vinitaly and The City also pushes the accelerator on thewine tourism side\,” said Veronafiere president Federico Bricolo. “We have enhanced the urban offer starting with the proposed experiences and expanding the range of action with initiatives and activities that extend even after the event\, with the involvement of numerous wineries in the area. Apilot initiative that therefore confirms a format in continuous evolution\, already successfully exported to Sibari\, Calabria\, and under study in new regions.” \nIndeed\, if the long-awaited marathon of some 70 events including wine talks\, tastings\, guided tours and literary appointments is confirmed\, it is the tasting and experience tokens that shift gears\, which this year open – among other initiatives – the gates of the Arena\, and embark on a journey of discovery of the Valpolicella Wine Route\, with a program of tastings at 15 wineries to be held from April 13 to May 3. \nThe program in brief\nThe ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Friday\, April 10 (opening at 6 p.m.) with a toast of Pinot Grigio Doc delle Venezie\, official wine for the 2026 edition\, and the official opening of the stands downtown. SUMMARY:Cerea - ViniVeri 2026
DESCRIPTION:ViniVeri 2026: April 10-12 in Cerea\, the wine fair “according to nature” returns\nFrom April 10 to 12\, 2026\, one of the most important events for those who love artisanal wine returns to Cerea\, in the province of Verona: ViniVeri – Vino Secondo Natura\, the event organized by the ViniVeri Consortium\, which brings together winemakers united by a production philosophy deeply linked to the land and its natural rhythms. \nThe event will take place as usual in the spaces of theArea Exp “La Fabbrica\,” transformed for three days into a large meeting place for producers\, industry professionals and wine lovers. A context in which wine becomes an opportunity for dialogue\, comparison and discovery of different territories and production visions. \nWine according to nature\nUnderlying the event is the philosophy of the ViniVeri Consortium\, established in 2004 with the aim of promoting an approach to wine that respects natural cycles and the balance between man and the environment. In the vineyard this means avoiding pesticides\, herbicides and synthetic fertilizers\, while in the winery technical interventions are kept to a minimum\, with no selected yeasts or unnecessary additives. \nThe result is wines that are meant to be an authentic expression of the terroir\, the vintage and the work of the winemaker\, produced according to an agricultural vision that focuses on biodiversity\, sustainability and territorial identity. \nTastings and face-to-face meeting with winemakers\nThe heart of the event are the tasting counters\, where visitors can sample hundreds of labels presented directly by producers. The 2026 edition will see the participation of more than 120-150 winemakers from different Italian regions and other European countries\, brought together to tell about their wines and their understanding of viticulture. \nAlongside the tastings\, the program includes in-depth discussions\, meetings and gastronomic initiatives that bring wine into dialogue with other quality artisanal products\, such as cheeses\, cured meats\, oil and other local products. \nThe event is also an important opportunity for winemakers\, industry professionals and wine lovers to meet in a more intimate and authentic setting than the big international fairs. \nA key appointment during the week of Vinitaly\nOver the years\, ViniVeri has become one of the most anticipated events on the natural and artisanal wine calendar\, thanks in part to its strategic location in the days immediately preceding Vinitaly\, attracting to Cerea many operators and enthusiasts already present in the Verona area for the major international fair. \nAn appointment that\, more than just a tasting\, aims to tell the story of a community of winemakers who share values and agricultural practices oriented toward quality\, respect for the environment and the expressive freedom of wine. \nUseful information\n\nDates: April 10 – 12\, 2026\nLocation: Area Exp “The Factory\,” Cerea (Verona)\nHours: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.\nFormat: tasting booths\, meetings with producers\, in-depth discussions and artisanal food products\n\nFor the full program and list of participating winemakers: https://www.viniveri.net/

SUMMARY:Verona - OperaWine 2026
DESCRIPTION:OperaWine – The Best Italian Wines 2026: the elite of Italian wine opens the week of Vinitaly\n\n\n\n\nOperaWine is the event that traditionally opens the week of Vinitaly and brings together a selection of the best Italian wineries in front of journalists\, buyers and industry professionals from around the world.\n\n\n\n\nThe 2026 edition of OperaWine\, to be heldApril 11 in Verona\, promises to be particularly significant. A celebration of Italian winemaking excellence that looks simultaneously at tradition and new generations of producers. \nA unique event in the wine scene\nOperaWine was born in 2012 from the collaboration between Veronafiere and the American magazine Wine Spectator\, one of the world’s most influential publications in the wine industry. \nOperaWine is the exclusive event that offers specialized operators from all over the world the chance to learn about the best Italian wines. The rankings are compiled by experts from Wine Spectator\, a publication that is an internationally recognized authority in the wine industry. Each year\, the judges subject the selected Italian wines to careful visual and taste-olfactory scrutiny and assign each a score based on several criteria. Out of this scrutiny comes the excellence of Italian producers: wineries from all over the peninsula that\, despite their differences in terroir\, production style and company size\, are united by the very high quality of the wines they produce. OperaWine gives journalists\, operators and key industry personalities exclusive access to this Finest Italian Wines Selection by Wine Spectator. \nThe true protagonist of the event is the ability to tell the great diversity of Italian wine\, both in tradition and in the new frontiers of enology. However it is declined\, this richness deserves to be communicated and promoted all over the world: OperaWine is in fact also a kermesse with an international scope\, a showcase that projects the best Italian wines towards exports to the major foreign markets. \nHowever\, selected Italian wines are not solely a commodity. On the contrary\, they are true ambassadors of Made in Italy\, an interweaving of emotionality and culture that goes beyond the simple bottle. They are products that\, on the occasion of this elite tasting\, create the valuable opportunity to discuss Communication\, e-Commerce and Marketing related to a commercial sphere that\, in these fields\, still has a long way to go. \nThis is not just a tasting\, but a true showcase of contemporary Italian wine\, capable of recounting territories\, styles and production histories that have built Italy’s reputation on the world wine scene. \nThe 150 wineries featured in the 2026 edition\nThe format is simple but extremely selective: a large invitation-only tasting where producers chosen by Wine Spectator present their wines to an international audience of professionals. \nThe big news of OperaWine 2026 is the expanded selection: 150 Italian wineries chosen by the experts of Wine Spectator. \nTo better tell the richness and complexity of Italian wine\, the selection was divided into three categories: \n\nLegacy Icons – 31 historic wineries featured in all editions of OperaWine\nClassic – 69 established producers representative of their territories\nNew Voices – 50 wineries founded from 1990 onward\, symbolizing the new generation of Italian wine\n\nAn effective way to show how Italian wine is built on a continuity between history and innovation\, where tradition and new energies coexist and reinforce each other. \nAs always\, OperaWine also offers a snapshot of Italy’s wine geography. Traditional territories that have contributed greatly to the international reputation of Italian wine for decades\, but coexist alongside emerging appellations and new interpreters of contemporary wine. \nVinitaly’s most prestigious preview\nOperaWine is the premiere event of Vinitaly\, the most elegant way to declare open the dances of the most important International Wine and Spirits Exhibition. All of these elements make OperaWine one of the most fascinating and most anticipated wine events on the entire Verona and Italian calendar. \nOver the course of a few hours\, OperaWine allows industry professionals to taste 150 iconic wines\, each representative of a winery and a region. \nThis is why the event has become over time the most prestigious preview of Vinitaly week\, a moment that anticipates trends\, celebrates excellence and tells the world about the extraordinary diversity of Italian wine. \nA collective toast that\, year after year\, continues to demonstrate how Italian wine is not only a product\, but a living cultural heritage. \nUseful information\nThe event is staged on Saturday\, April 11\, 2026 \nAdmission is by invitation only

SUMMARY:Magré - SUMMA 2026
DESCRIPTION:SUMMA 2026: International meeting of winemakers with 115 producers from nine countries between organic and biodynamic wine returns to the Alois Lageder Estate\nOn April 11 and 12\, 2026\, one of the most special and fascinating events in the European wine scene returns: SUMMA\, the international meeting of winemakers hosted at the Alois Lageder Estate in Magrè on the Wine Road\, South Tyrol. \nEstablished over twenty-five years ago\, SUMMA is not a wine fair in the traditional sense of the term\, but a moment of authentic encounter between producers\, professionals and enthusiasts\, where dialogue and shared values are at the heart of the experience. In a cosy and informal setting\, among the vineyards and historic spaces of the estate\, the event offers the opportunity to meet winemakers directly and taste wines from some of the most interesting realities on the international scene. \nA different fair\, based on meeting\nSince its inception\, SUMMA has been envisioned as a place of exchange and inspiration. The event reflects the philosophy of the Alois Lageder Estate\, a historic South Tyrolean winery that has been committed to organic and biodynamic viticulture for years. \nThe common thread uniting the producers present is precisely the sharing of values such as quality\, sustainability\, curiosity and the spirit of experimentation. Many of the participating companies work according to organic or biodynamic principles\, or are engaged in a path of conversion to more environmentally friendly agricultural practices. \nMore than just a tasting\, SUMMA is a place where wine becomes an opportunity for discussion: between different territories\, between different production approaches\, and between generations of winemakers. \n115 winemakers from nine countries\nFor the 2026 edition\, 115 winemakers from nine countries are expected\, with a selection ranging from international icons to the most influential new voices in organic and biodynamic wine. \nKey players include names such as Champagne Tarlant\, Georg Breuer\, Gravner and Dr. Bürklin-Wolf. Italy is strongly represented by cult producers such as Pian dell’Orino\, Frank Cornelissen\, Arianna Occhipinti and Giulia Negri – Serradenari\, joined by great classics such as Château Musar from Lebanon. Realities such as Wittmann\, Jurtschitsch and Ökonomierat Rebholz represent the dialogue between tradition and innovation\, while producers such as Schödl\, Kristinus and Otronia trace an international arc from Central Europe to Patagonia. \nWhat makes SUMMA unique is precisely its size: not a large\, dispersed event\, but a deliberately collected event that encourages direct encounters with winemakers and in-depth discussions about wines. \nOver the course of the two days\, it will be possible to taste the labels of the featured wineries\, participate in moments of dialogue\, and enjoy an immersive experience in the heart of the South Tyrolean region\, amid historic architecture\, vineyards\, and a strong wine culture. \nFor many industry professionals and advanced wine enthusiasts\, SUMMA has for years been a must-attend event for discovering new interpretations of contemporary wine and meeting some of the most influential producers on the international scene. \nUseful information\n\nEvent: SUMMA 2026\nDates: April 11 and 12\, 2026\nLocation: Alois Lageder Estate\, Magrè on the Wine Road (South Tyrol)\n\nThe full list of participating winemakers and all program information is available on the official website: mhttps://summa-al.eu

SUMMARY:Verona - Wonders Of White. Custoza Dinner Night
DESCRIPTION:Wonders Of White. Custoza Dinner Night: Custoza Doc protagonist of the opening night of Vinitaly’s first official Fuorisalone\nWonders Of White. Custoza Dinner Night debuts April 12. . The evening will welcome the protagonists of the show – companies\, press and buyers – in a context of high visibility and strong relational value\, turning the spotlight on Custoza DOC in the heart of Italian wine week. Dinner dedicated to the appellation\, musical performance and party at the Mercatali Galleries. \nVinitaly’s first official Fuorisalone\nVinitaly 2026 marks a historic step: for the first time\, the official Vinitaly Fuorisalone is born\, hosted in Verona’s evocative Gallerie Mercatali\, one of the city’s most iconic and scenic spaces\, with events scheduled for April 11\, 12 and 14. On Sunday\, April 12\, 2026\, from 7 p.m.\, on the opening night of Vinitaly\, the Consorzio Tutela Vino Custoza DOC will be featured with “Wonders Of White. Custoza Dinner Night\,” bringing the denomination to the center of an event with high visibility and strong relational value. A format that takes up a thread that the Consortium has been pursuing for years: the dialogue between wine and music\, as a language of conviviality and relationship. \n“For us\, it is a source of great pride to bring Custoza DOC to such a prestigious setting: a high-profile opportunity that we strongly wanted to give Custoza a visibility that matches this moment\, in the heart of the week in which Verona becomes the center of Italian wine and beyond\,” says Roberta Bricolo\, president of the Consortium. “We are thrilled to inaugurate this new platform and to do so with an evening entirely dedicated to our wines. And this year our presence goes even beyond the product presentation\, which takes place within the Salone: the Fuorisalone is an invitation to conviviality and relationships\, and celebrates that dialogue between wine and music in which we have always believed. We do not want to propose a technical event or an exclusive gala\, but an authentic evening dedicated to the joy of celebrating Italian wine. As producers with close ties to Verona\, we feel the responsibility and pride to involve operators and wine lovers\, transforming each toast into an opportunity for encounters and new connections.” \nWonders Of White. Custoza Dinner Night\, the night of the Custoza Doc. \nDuring the event on Sunday\, April 12\, 2026\, the Mercatali Galleries will be dressed entirely in the colors of Custoza\, transforming for one night into a space dedicated to the appellation. In this setting\, Consortium companies will have the opportunity to welcome and directly engage their guests and importers\, enhancing key relationships within an exclusive and highly visible context. \nThe opening will feature an aperitif entirely dedicated to Custoza DOC\, designed to introduce guests to the style and identity of the appellation. This will be followed by a high-profile dinner\, built to enhance the pairings\, and will accompany the tale of Custoza in a contemporary key. The selection will include vintage Custoza\, Custoza Superiore and Riserva. \nThe evening will be accompanied by the musical performance of Alessandro Ristori and The Portofinos during the dinner experience. At the end of the dinner\, the Mercatali Galleries will open to the city. The Fuorisalone will continue with a big party enlivened by Ralf’s DJ set\, also involving the Verona audience ( Tickets available here: https://www.ticketsms.it/event/HyilTVPU). \nThe space will be transformed into a true stage dedicated to Custoza. About 2\,000 people are expected to attend the public opening\, for a night in which the Custoza Doc appellation will be the absolute protagonist . A choral\, vibrant tale capable of leaving its mark.

SUMMARY:Randazzo - Le Contrade dell'Etna 2026
DESCRIPTION:Le Contrade dell’Etna 2026: April 19 and 20 in Randazzo\, the wine festival dedicated to the wines of the volcano returns with tastings\, wineries and master classes on Etna’s terroir.\nAmong the most eagerly awaited events for wine enthusiasts and professionals is Le Contrade dell’Etna\, the event entirely dedicated to the wines of the volcano that in 2026 returns with a new edition in Randazzo\, on the northern slope of Etna. The event\, now in its 17th edition\, will be held on Sunday\, April 19 and Monday\, April 2026\, and represents one of the most important moments of meeting and comparison for the world of Etna wine. \nThe brainchild of visionary winemaker Andrea Franchetti\, the review has become over the years an international reference point for telling the story of the identity and evolution of viticulture on Etna\, one of the most dynamic and fascinating territories on the Italian wine scene. \nAn event dedicated to the terroir of Etna\nThe heart of the event is the tasting of wines produced on the slopes of the volcano\, a unique territory where altitude\, lava soils and different microclimates contribute to create wines of great personality. In this context\, producers\, journalists\, industry professionals and wine lovers meet to explore the different interpretations of Etna’s iconic grape varieties\, such as Nerello Mascalese\, Nerello Cappuccio and Carricante. \nLe Contrade dell’Etna was created precisely with the aim of highlighting the extraordinary variety of the Etnean territory. The very name of the event recalls the “contrade\,” the small viticultural areas that characterize the volcano and that\, just like the cru in other wine regions of the world\, express different nuances of soil\, exposure and altitude. \nTastings\, meetings and masterclasses\nDuring the two-day event\, visitors will be able to participate in tasting sessions with numerous wineries in the area\, meeting producers directly and tasting new vintages of Etna wines. The program also includes in-depth moments\, masterclasses and meetings dedicated to the analysis of Etna’s terroir and the future prospects of this fast-growing appellation. \nTraditionally\, the event alternates moments dedicated to the public of enthusiasts with sessions designed for operators and professionals in the sector\, offering an ideal context for discussion between producers\, buyers and the specialized press. \nA landmark event for Sicilian wine\nWith dozens of participating wineries and thousands of visitors each year\, Le Contrade dell’Etna has established itself as one of the leading events dedicated to volcanic wines and Etna’s terroir. The event is not only a great collective tasting\, but also an opportunity to tell the identity of an area that has experienced an extraordinary viticultural renaissance over the past two decades. \nAmong lava landscapes\, high-altitude vineyards and a centuries-old viticultural tradition\, Etna continues in fact to attract producers\, investors and enthusiasts from all over the world\, making this event a privileged observatory on new trends in Italian wine. \nUseful information\n\nEvent: The Contradas of Etna 2026\nDates: April 19 – 20\, 2026\nLocation: Randazzo (Catania)\, Sicily\nFormat: tastings with producers\, masterclasses and in-depth meetings\n\nFull up-to-date details on the program and participating wineries are available on the event’s official website: https://lecontradedelletna.com/

SUMMARY:Lazise - Irresistible Piwi 2026
DESCRIPTION:Irresistible Piwi 2026: the wine festival dedicated to resistant grape varieties returns to Lazise with tastings\, wineries and meetings on the future of viticulture.\nOn April 26 and 27\, 2026\, in the beautiful setting of the Dogana Veneta in Lazise\, Irresistible Piwi returns \, the event dedicated to resistant vines that in recent years has established itself as one of the most interesting events to understand the evolution of contemporary viticulture. \nNow in its third year\, the show focuses on Piwi\, vine varieties resistant to major fungal diseases such as downy mildew and powdery mildew. These are varieties obtained through genetic improvement programs that make it possible to significantly reduce the use of treatments in the vineyard\, representing one of the most discussed and promising issues today in terms of sustainability and adaptation to climate change. \nIrresistible Piwi was created precisely with the aim of recounting this transformation of viticulture\, creating a space for discussion among producers\, technicians\, researchers and enthusiasts. Not only tastings\, then\, but also popularization\, dialogue and technical insights on one of the most relevant topics for the future of the sector. \nA project dedicated to the future of viticulture\nThe event is conceived and organized by oenologists Luca De Palma and Igor Bonvento\, both profound connoisseurs of the wine world and for years engaged in the study and dissemination of resistant grape varieties. \nThe goal is to offer a meeting platform where we can really understand what Piwi are\, overcoming some commonplaces. The acronym\, in fact\, does not identify a type of wine but the vine varieties from which these wines originate\, a fundamental technical aspect that the event aims to communicate clearly and rigorously. \nAlso coming in 2026 to strengthen this path is the collaboration with PIWI Italia\, the national association that coordinates producers of resistant varieties and promotes proper communication on the subject. The synergy will lead to the organization of technical discussions\, master classes and in-depth meetings dedicated to sustainability\, agronomic innovation and the future prospects of viticulture. \nExhibition market and tastings\nThe heart of Irresistible Piwi will be the Exhibition Market\, where numerous companies will present wines made from resistant varieties from different Italian and European territories. \nParticipating wineries include\, among others\, Lieselehof\, Pravis\, Sartori Organic\, Resistenti Nicola Biasi\, Albafiorita\, Castello di Grumello\, Tenuta Gambalonga\, VinVentum\, Terre Alte di Alpago and Nove Lune\, joined by many others committed to the development and enhancement of Piwi grape varieties. \nAlongside the producers\, the world of viticultural research and breeding will also be present\, with focuses dedicated to genetic selection and rooted vine production. An approach that allows the entire supply chain to be told\, from the birth of new varieties to the wine in the glass. \nUseful information\n\nDates: April 26 and 27\, 2026\nHours: Sunday 26 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. – Monday 27 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.\nLocation: Dogana Veneta\, Lazise (Verona)\n\nThe two days will feature tastings\, meetings and highlights dedicated to resistant varieties and the future of sustainable viticulture. \nAll up-to-date information on the program\, participating wineries\, and access arrangements can be found on the official website: https://irresistibilepiwi.it

SUMMARY:SUBER - Suvereto Wine Festival
DESCRIPTION:SUBER – Suvereto Wine Festival: May 1-3 Suvereto\, a medieval village in the Val di Cornia\, hosts the 3rd edition of the festival.\nSUBER – Suvereto Wine Festival: Three days of widespread celebration among wineries\, producers and artisans. Suvereto winemakers bet on new types of wine and the identity of a territory to be discovered. \nThe third edition of SUBER – Suvereto Wine Festival\, May 1-3\, 2026\, chronicles a metamorphosis. The revision of the disciplinary with the new Suvereto DOCG marks a key step in the construction of more identity wines. \nAt SUBER we taste\, walk\, listen and think\, together\, about the future of the territory\, as Daniele Petricci\, president of the Suvereto and Val di Cornia Wine Consortium\, explains. “SUBER was born as a time and place where wine returns to be a common language for those who\, in the glass\, seek not only quality but also stories\, relationships and belonging. The Festival is the result of the vision and commitment of an entire community that has decided to look in the same direction\, recognizing itself as a single\, pulsating ecosystem. From stores to artisans\, from restaurateurs to young winemakers\, everyone is doing their part with a proactive and inclusive spirit. We certainly welcome visitors with a glass of our wines\, but also with a choral tale of our territory.” \nAn evolution that not only concerns production\, but also redefines the positioning of this area of the Upper Maremma that focuses on wine tourism and the value it can generate. It is on this terrain that the new generations – winemakers\, restaurateurs\, artisans and local administrators – are called to confront. Outlining a shared path capable of holding together identity\, sustainability and competitiveness in a global context. \nThe masterclass “Suvereto Docg\, a new history” is dedicated to this change. 12 guided and comparative tastings to understand how the new production rules are already drawing the profile of tomorrow’s wines of this young appellation. (Saturday\, May 2 and Sunday\, May 3 at 3 p.m.). \nThe program\nOfficially opening the Festival on Friday\, May 1 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. is the SUBER Aperitivo with live music. Sunset with a view of the Val di Cornia with local glasses\, finger food and notes in the gardens of the Suvereto and Val di Cornia Wine Consortium\, which organizes the entire Festival under the patronage of the Municipality of Suvereto. \nOn Saturday\, May 2 and Sunday\, May 3\, SUBER gets into full swing. Its energy spreads along the streets of Suvereto in a widespread festival involving the entire village with stores\, stores\, wine bars and restaurants open until late in the evening. The cobblestone alleys\, palaces and small squares of the medieval urbe host tastings\, workshops\, sports and recreational activities\, talks\, show cooking and performances. Goblet in hand\, visitors are invited to stroll through the streets of Suvereto\, its scents and flavors. To try their hand at the different activities offered to celebrate\, together with the local community\, the Val di Cornia\, where wine\, food\, history\, landscape and innovation permeate economy and society. \nAlongside tastings\, SUBER builds moments of discussion and insight. Talks bring different generations and visions of wine into dialogue\, while guided tastings highlight local appellations and oil. The program is completed with family activities\, workshops and games. A context that\, among vineyards\, sea and Etruscan sites\, makes the festival a privileged access point to the Val di Cornia. \nIn particular\, we will be featured in the following talks:\n\n\n\n\nSaturday\, May 2 – Gramsci Square \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n3:00-4:30 p.m.: TALK SHOW “THE WINE YESTERDAY\, TODAY\, TOMORROW”: From demijohns to social: voices from different generations tell how wine has changed and how our way of drinking it has changed. Featuring: Gianni Pellicci (I Grandi Vini)\, Stefano Tesi (Civiltà del Bere)\, Riccardo Viscardi (DoctorWine)\, Simon Staffler (Falstaff)\n5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. TALK SHOW “THE BEST YOUTH”: Young winemakers under 40 tell about the risks\, dreams and revolutions of making wine today\, between social\, sustainability and the future.\nFeaturing: Stefania Vinciguerra (DoctorWine)\, Marco Volpi and Filippo Massa (I Giovani del Derthona)\, Giulia Scalzini Michela Adriano and Elena Salviucci (Le Sbarbatelle)\n\n\n\n\n\nA widespread program\nSUBER offers a widespread program that spans the territory. From outdoor activities among the rows – walks\, guided hikes and e-bikes and a wine tourism proposal involving all the wineries – to tasting spaces in the village\, with “Goblets with a View” (at the Consortium headquarters) and the AperiChiostro and Music in Vinyl (Saturday afternoon in the cloisters of San Francesco)\, where Val di Cornia producers tell their stories in person. On Sunday\, winemakers spread out along the village streets with “Chiostro in tour\,” where each winery is joined by a local artisan\, creating a concrete dialogue between wine and territory. Sunday afternoon is all about food. One can taste recipes based on local products cooked live by guest chefs during the show cooking/talk “Mangio quindi sono: la cucina come patrimonio immateriale degli italiani\,” to take home the taste of Suvereto. \nFrom SUBER to the sea\, via the Etruscans\nSUBER’s three-day event coincides with the May 1 bridge. It is an opportunity for a trip to a lesser-known area of the Maremma-the Val di Cornia of which Suvereto is the wine capital. To immerse oneself in a microcosm where time seems to have stood still\, while remaining extraordinarily vital. Where the legacy of the Etruscans and the wisdom of the iron masters live again today in the resourcefulness of young Suveretani. \nMoreover\, the Festival lives in an area where everything is close by. Around Suvereto\, the Val di Cornia alternates between vineyards\, Mediterranean scrub and the sea. In just a few kilometers\, one goes from the vineyards to the coves of the Gulf of Baratti\, from the thermal baths of Sassetta or Calidario to the archaeological area of Populonia overlooking the Etruscan Coast\, the “Caribbean of the Tyrrhenian Sea.” \nFor more information and full program: suberfestival.co.uk

SUMMARY:All over Italy - The Winemaker's Saturday
DESCRIPTION:Vintner’s Saturday returns throughout Italy from Saturday\, May 2\, 2026. For the 2026 edition\, the narrative of Independent Winemakers goes widespread! \nThroughout the month of May\, 21 appointments in special places on the peninsula to meet the Winemakers\, taste their wines and discover the identity of the territories through a renewed and dynamic formula. \nThe long-awaited annual appointment of Il Sabato del Vignaiolo\, the day designed by FIVI-Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti with the support of Crédit Agricole-to tell the public and enthusiasts about the territorial realities of its more than 1\,800 members\, is back. \nAfter the success of past years\, the 2026 edition marks an important evolution. The event leaves the single national date to become a widespread event during all Saturdays of the month of May. The decision to spread the events over four weekends stems from the desire to respect the extraordinary climatic and meteorological diversity of our peninsula\, but not only. SUMMARY:San Marco Argentano - Abbey Wines Calabria
DESCRIPTION:Vini d’Abbazia lands in Calabria: May 2 and 3 at Abbazia della Matina. Two days of tastings\, meetings and wine culture with the historic productions of Italian abbeys and the excellence of the Consorzi di Tutela of Calabria. \n\nAbbey Wines arrives for the first time in Calabria and chooses the Cistercian Abbey of Santa Maria della Matina in San Marco Argentano (CS) to present\, on Saturday\, May 2 and Sunday\, May 3\, a preview of the national edition that will take place in June in the Borgo di Fossanova\, Priverno (LT). \nAbbey Wines Calabria\nCreated in the wake of the success of the national edition held in Lazio\, the Calabrian leg of Vini d’Abbazia aims to enhance the link between monastic culture and viticulture\, bringing historical production experiences and contemporary territorial identities into dialogue. \nFor two days\, La Matina Abbey will become a meeting place for wine enthusiasts\, wine professionals and producers\, through a tasting itinerary that interweaves spirituality\, history and wine. The protagonists will be labels from Italian abbeys\, flanked by the productions of Calabrian protection consortia\, in a confrontation that crosses territories\, grape varieties and traditions. \nThe program will consist of tasting counters and in-depth moments\, offering the public the opportunity to discover both the historical dimension of monastic viticulture and the contemporary evolution of Calabrian wine. Guided tastings – entrusted to wine professionals – will take participants on a sensory journey dedicated to native grape varieties and their most representative expressions. \nVini d’Abbazia takes the form of a cultural project that restores centrality to the role of abbeys in the preservation of Europe’s wine-growing heritage\, reviving its value today through dialogue with territories. \nAn institutional strategy for the area’s wine renaissance\nThe first Calabrian edition of Vini d’Abbazia (Abbey Wines) is part of a context of strong dynamism for the regional wine sector\, the result of an institutional strategy that focuses firmly on the promotion of its agri-food excellence. \nThe initiative is supported by the Region of Calabria and ARSAC (Azienda Regionale per lo Sviluppo dell’Agricoltura Calabrese\, or Regional Agency for the Development of Calabrian Agriculture)\, as part of a broader plan to strengthen the territory’s role in the panorama of major international wine events. \nIn this direction are strategic choices that have brought landmark events such as Vinitaly and the City and Merano WineFestival to Calabria\, helping to consolidate the region’s image as a high-profile destination. \n“Vini d’Abbazia Calabria is part of a path that has already begun to enhance and promote the regional wine sector\,” says Calabria Region Agriculture Councillor Gianluca Gallo. “The intense activity put in place in recent years is yielding concrete results\, helping to strengthen Calabria’s positioning in the reference circuits of quality wine. In this context\, initiatives such as this one take on a strategic value: they not only promote our productions\, but also tell their deep roots\, interweaving identity\, history and contemporary capacity for innovation. It is through this balance that Calabria can consolidate its attractiveness and establish itself more and more as a major wine tourism destination “. \nThe Cistercian Abbey of Santa Maria della Matina\nThe heart of the event will be the Matina Abbey\, a complex of great historical and architectural value nestled in the landscape of inland Calabria. Founded in 1065 by Robert Guiscard\, the abbey represents significant evidence of the monastic presence in the area and its function as a spiritual and agricultural center\, offering\, between the chapter house and millennia-old cloisters\, a solemn and timeless breath. \n“Thanks to the support of the Region of Calabria\, we were able to host in the Abbey of Santa Maria della Matina the first edition in southern Italy of Vini d’Abbazia\,” says Michele Valentoni\, owner of the abbey and La Matina winery. “It is a source of pride for me to have made this place available\, helping to enhance a reality that is still little known but perfectly inserted in a national circuit of great importance.”\n“The initiative represents not only an important promotional opportunity\, but a real opportunity for meeting and shared appreciation\,” adds Judith Sandonato\, organizational soul and communications manager. “An authentic experience that connects culture\, history and wine production even geographically distant.” \nTickets available:\nTickets for Wines of Abbey Calabria are available online\, with the option to purchase admission for individual days: https://vinidabbazia.com/eventi/

SUMMARY:Panzano - Vino al Vino in Cantina 2026
DESCRIPTION:Vino al Vino in Cantina 2026\, May 2 and 3 in Panzano in Chianti for a journey to discover the wine excellence of Chianti Classico \nOn Saturday\, May 2 and Sunday\, May 3\, the appointment with “Vino al Vino in Cantina”\, promoted by theUnion of Winegrowers of Panzano in Chianti to celebrate the wine excellence of Chianti Classico. An experiential journey in a unique territory that will lead winelovers among the magnificent hills of an iconic landscape\, recognizable throughout the world. \n Through 4 dedicated routes\, it will be possible to visit 15 prestigious wineries of the Union of Winegrowers of Panzano in Chianti\, which\, for the occasion\, will open the doors of their cellars to visitors to allow them to taste unique wines\, learn about oenological secrets and ancient production and aging techniques. \nEnthusiasts will also get to know the family stories behind each goblet\, behind each bottle\, in an atmosphere of full conviviality. \n Pathways and companies\n4 routes in the heart of Chianti Classico to discover 15 wineries: \n\nChapel: Renzo Marinai\, Vallone di Cecione\, Vignole and Castello dei Rampolla\nThe valleys: Monte Bernardi\, Grace Mill and Tenuta degli Dei\nTwo slopes: Felciano\, Le Fonti\, Casaloste\nSan Martino: Panzanello\, Tenute Casenuove\, Cafaggio\, Fattoria di Rignana and Vecchie Terre di Montefili\n\nItaly’s first wine biodistrict\nThe Union of Winegrowers of Panzano includes 23 companies of passionate producers who for 30 years have been protecting an area that represents Italy’s first biodistrict of viticulture: in fact\, 90 percent of Panzano in Chianti’s vineyards are cultivated according to the criteria of organic viticulture. \nAn extraordinary achievement\, the result of a journey that began in 2012\, an emblem of a pioneering model that has set the standard and is still a reference point in the national wine scene. \n Several factors converge and dialogue together in Panzano: the particularity of the soils that present different morphologies within short spaces such as to sanction great diversity\, but also the microclimate and\, last but not least\, the human factor\, an even more variable element that determines important results such as the uniqueness of a wine and its quality. \nInstructions for participation\nWinery tours and tastings are possible from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday\, May 2\, and Sunday\, May 3. \nThe 4 suggested tours start from the Viticulturists’ Union headquarters at 62 Via Chiantigiana in Panzano. \nHere\, or directly in the wineries\, it is possible to purchase a “tasting kit” that includes a goblet with a glass carrying strap and a map with routes. \nPurchase of glasses at the Panzano Winegrowers’ Union Headquarters is from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. \nFor more info: www.viticoltoripanzano.com

SUMMARY:Rome - Wine List Italy on Tour
DESCRIPTION:Wine List Italia on Tour arrives in Rome: the focus is sommeliers and the contemporary tale of wine.\nOn May 4 at Palazzo Ripetta a day between conference and Grand Tasting with 50 professionals of the room and 300 labels in tasting\nAfter four years of work dedicated to the enhancement of Italian sommeliers\, Wine List Italia continues its journey with a new stage of the Wine List on Tour project . On May 4\, 2026 it lands in Rome inside the iconic five-star Tridentine hotel\, Palazzo Ripetta\, which since its opening has established itself as a reference point for wine lovers. \nA natural evolution for a format born within the Milano Wine Week that\, keeping its identity intact\, expands its scope with the aim of building connections\, generating confrontation and strengthening the role of dining professionals in the contemporary restaurant system. Goals that have always been stated by the project’s creator and MWW president Federico Gordini. >”Arriving in Rome\, for the first time\, with Wine List on Tour means more than just adding a stage to our journey: it means entering the symbolic heart of Italian hospitality and one of the world capitals of dining\,” Gordini explains. “It is the culminating moment of a journey that today increasingly coincides with a movement capable of involving professionals\, restaurants and wineries throughout Italy\, with the aim of building a new awareness around the value of the dining room.” \nSommeliers and the tasting format\nAt the center of the project remain sommeliers\, key figures in the mediation between production and consumption\, who are increasingly crucial in the construction of thegastronomic experience. For the Rome leg\, 50 professionals will be involved. They will be selected from some of the best addresses in Lazio\, Tuscany\, Emilia-Romagna\, Marche\, Umbria\, Abruzzo\, Molise and Sardinia. Each will present six labels\, for a total of 300 wines\, according to a format that alternates territorial rootedness and personal research. >The selection follows a precise structure but is open to individual interpretation: three wines linked to the territory of reference\, an expression of landscape\, culture and traditions; a “gem” discovered in one’s professional career; a proposal of bubbles and a wine designed for service by the glass. A system that allows the audience to read the wine through the eyes of those who live it daily in the room\, transforming the tasting into a direct and personal story. \nThe program for the day on May 4\nThe May 4 day hosted by Palazzo Ripetta will be divided into two main moments. The morning (from 11 a.m.) will be dedicated to the conference “The present and future of sommellerie and room service.” It will be an opportunity to discuss the strategic role of the dining room professions and the need to make them increasingly attractive to new generations as well. During the meeting\, the “Wine List on Tour | Rome” guide will be presented \, a printed and digital publication that collects the profiles of the leading sommeliers and the selection of labels. In the afternoon\, from 3 to 9 p.m.\, space will be given to the Grand Tasting. 50 stations manned directly by the sommeliers will offer the public of operators\, press and enthusiasts the opportunity to taste the selected wines and discuss them with those who every day narrate and propose them in the room. A format that makes the work of sommellerie visible in a direct and accessible way\, focusing on the relationship between professional and guest. \nThe Senate Award\nAlongside the May 4 event\, the project continues the following day with an institutional moment. On May 5 \, in fact\, at the Senate of the Republic\, the first edition of the Italian Room Excellence Award will be held\, promoted by Milano Wine Week and Wine List Italia. An award designed to enhance the protagonists of the dining room who\, through competence\, vision and professional rigor\, contribute to the growth and prestige of the Italian restaurant industry. There will be 30 personalities awarded. An initiative that marks a further step in the path of building a real system of recognition for sommellerie and service. \nThe vision of the project\nWith this stage\, Rome becomes a strategic step for Wine List Italia\, which consolidates its role not only as a selection platform\, but as a space for growth and recognition for the entire Italian sommellerie ecosystem. SUMMARY:Rome - Pigneto Wine District 2026
DESCRIPTION:Quartiere Vino Pigneto 2026 returns in May\, the widespread event on natural wines that this year gets a makeover with new paths and new creative spaces\nSaturday\, May 9 kicks off the third edition of the event dedicated to natural wine\, which transforms the Pigneto neighborhood into a grand tasting itinerary with international winemakers\, cultural walks and the new creative space VinArt Est \nIt has now become an unmissable event for natural wine enthusiasts in Rome\, the widespread event dedicated to natural wine\, which for one day transforms the Roman neighborhood of Pigneto into a large open-air tasting trail. \nThe event\, now in its third edition\, involves dozens of venues and many winemakers from all over Italy and abroad\, creating an experience that combines wine\, meetings and discovery. The event is conceived and organized by SO2 Enoteca\, a wine shop and distributor of natural wines rooted in the territory\, and Solovino Enoteca\, a reality active in the organization of reference events in the sector such as Vini Selvaggi\, Convivium Renaissance\, Vin’Aia and other projects dedicated to natural wine. \nQuartiere Vino Pigneto was created with the aim of enhancing wine as a cultural and territorial expression\, focusing on producers who work with respect for the land and people. Protagonists are authentic and artisanal wines\, far from industrial logics\, told directly by the winemakers who produce them. \nWhat’s New 2026\nThe 2026 edition introduces new access modes and new spaces dedicated to creativity\, designed to make the experience even more fluid and engaging. In fact\, to facilitate participation\, two pass pick-up points have been planned\, where visitors can pick up their goblet and wristband before starting the route: Nuccitelli Square and SO2 Distribution. \nAt Nuccitelli Square will be the artists\, illustrators and cartoonists of VinArt Est\, a new project that combines wine with a market dedicated to illustrators\, artists and creative people who will exhibit their works all day Saturday and Sunday starting at 12 p.m. Some of them will also be present in selected venues in the neighborhood\, enriching the tasting route with artistic interventions and works along the event circuit. \nSunday at Nuccitelli Square will also feature the Ciriola food truck & bar with SO2’s natural wines and the participation of some surprise guest winemakers. \nTalks and debates will also be held during the day on Saturday\, also at Nuccitelli Square\, with a schedule to be published soon on the event’s official social channels. \nAnother novelty concerns the introduction of two new recommended routes\, marked on the map and designed to guide the public among the district’s venues from north to south. This is a way to experience the event more quietly\, avoiding crowds and allowing people to discover all the stops along the route. \nQuartiere Vino Pigneto is not a traditional fair\, but a walking experience: you enter the neighborhood venues\, meet the winemakers\, taste the wines and listen to the stories that are born in the vineyards. \nNot just wine: neighborhood walks and workshops\nQuartiere Vino Pigneto is also a time to meet and discover the area: walks will be organized to discover the old taverns and stories of Pigneto. The walks will be led by historian Guido Farinelli of the Bella Storia association\, who will accompany participants through stories\, anecdotes and urban transformations of the neighborhood. Participation in the walk costs 5 euros per person\, and it will soon be possible to book guided tours online\, with the possibility of integrating the walk with the event’s tasting route. \nThe neighborhood’s craft businesses also become an integral part of the event\, opening their spaces and welcoming the vintners. Stores\, workshops and stores thus become stages along the route\, allowing the public to come into contact with the work of artisans and the creative energy that characterizes Pigneto. \nHow it works\nParticipating is simple: by purchasing a pass you receive a goblet and bracelet\, with which to begin the journey among the participating establishments in the neighborhood. The tastings take place directly at the counters set up in the bars\, wine bars and restaurants of Pigneto\, where the winemakers tell about their work\, the territory they come from and their production philosophy.\nOn Saturday\, May 9\, the cash desk for collecting the pass and the goblet will be open as early as 12 noon\, both at Enoteca SO2 and at the pick-up point in Piazza Nuccitelli\, where it will be possible to start the day with the artists of VinArt Est\, food trucks and natural wines. For one day\, the neighborhood thus becomes a large natural wine itinerary\, where the public can move freely among the different stops. \nMain partnerMain partner of the 2026 edition is Necci dal 1924\, a symbolic place of Pigneto and cultural and gastronomic reference point of the neighborhood\, which will help make the heart of the event even more central and recognizable.\n\nInformation\nSaturday\, May 9 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. \nTickets available at: www.quartierevinopigneto.it \nThe event is organized under the auspices of the Fifth Municipality of Rome

The event leaves the single national date to become a widespread event during all Saturdays of the month of May. The decision to spread the events over four weekends stems from the desire to respect the extraordinary climatic and meteorological diversity of our peninsula\, but not only. In fact\, this new formula has allowed for greater collaboration between territories so that many Delegations will open their doors to members from other regions\, creating opportunities for discussion and cross-tasting where event dates allow. \nThe locations and delegations\nA total of 21 FIVI Local Delegations (out of a total of 31 currently in attendance) have joined the initiative\, with some entities celebrating their organizational debut this year (Asti\, Alta Toscana and Costa Toscana). The public will be able to meet the Winemakers and taste their wines in as many as 15 exceptional settings. >Not only wineries and member farms\, but also places related to culture such as museums and historical monuments\, squares in the capitals and several Points of Affection (PDAs) of the Federation. \nThe format of The Winemaker’s Saturday.\nEach date will welcome the public with the usual spirit of celebration and sharing. \nThe heart of the event will be the tasting tables\, where Independent Winemakers and Winegrowers will tell firsthand about their work\, their wines and the values of the Federation. \nThe program will be enhanced by a free and varied format that\, depending on the delegation\, will include: \n\nIn-depth masterclasses and discussion moments\nDirect purchase of wines from producers\nInvolvement of local artisans and food stands with local products\nMusical interludes and cultural highlights.\n\nFor wine enthusiasts\, it confirms a unique opportunity to discover and relax and experience a day in the company of those who cultivate and protect the vineyard every day\, discovering the vocation of often unique territories. \nThe appointments for Saturday\, May 9\n\nChianti Classico San Gimignano | Giabar – Greve in Chianti (FI)\nFriuli Venezia Giulia | Piazza XXIV Maggio – Cormons (GO)\nLatium | Az. Riserva della Cascina – Via Appia Antica\, 560 (ROME) \nOltrepò Pavese | Frecciarossa Estate – Casteggio (PV)\nApulia | Antica Enotria – Cerignola (FG)\nSicily | Scammacca Square – Catania (CT)\n\nThe full program and details of each event are posted online at: https://fivi.it/sabato-del-vignaiolo/
