SUMMARY:DoctorWine at Prague Wine Trophy
DESCRIPTION:The Prague Wine Trophy takes place in Prague on February 27. DoctorWine is participating in this important event by presenting the Essential Guide to the Wines of Italy 2025 with a select group of Italian producers.\nThe Prague Wine Trophy is the most important annual event in the Czech Republic\, recognizing the best wines selected in the preceding months. Now in its 17th year\, this year it will take place on February 27\, 2025 at the Michna Palace in Mala Strana\, Prague. From 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. more than 70 winemakers and importers will present themselves to the public who will be able to taste more than 500 wines. The wine market in the Czech Republic is satisfied about one-third by domestic production and two-thirds by imports. Regarding imports\, in volume\, the primary position is Italy with a market share of 25 percent. Next come Spain\, Slovakia\, and Germany. Wine consumption is growing\, albeit at a very slow rate of about 1 percent per year. The market is fairly well established but there are some segments such as rosé wines or sparkling wines where the pace of growth is much stronger. DoctorWine is helping to raise awareness of Italian wines by presenting its Tje Essential Guide 2025 and selected producers\, who have the opportunity to meet the public and have their wines tasted.

SUMMARY:Rome - Guida al Bere Rosa
DESCRIPTION:Rosa Rosati Rosé – Guida al Bere Rosa: on March 1 in Rome the national presentation to the press and producers of the 7th edition of the guide by Renato Rovetta\nRosa Rosati Rosé – la Guida al Bere Rosa\nThe Guida al Bere Rosa is a guide dedicated exclusively to pink wines including still\, sparkling\, Martinotti Method and Metodo Classico. A panel of judges from all over Italy selected the best among the pink wines offered from Alto Adige to Sicily\, passing through Tuscany\, Lazio\, and all the Italian regions\, awarding the different certificates: the Quattro Rose\, La Rosa d’Oro\, and the Gran Menzione. In the 2025 edition\, the Golden Roses and Grand Mentions have increased\, certifying the excellent quality and in many cases the excellence of many labels. Alongside the best labels appear in the guide the recipes related to Pink Wines presented by chefs and restaurateurs in their Wine List. The Pink\, Rosé and Rosé Guide is edited by Renato Rovetta\, expert taster and director of Sommelierfriend\, radio speaker\, and founder of the web radio Music & Wine. \nPink wines\nThe guide’s team of tasters are discovering year by year an increasing number of Rosé wines from every region of the Peninsula and from European countries worthy of praise Several regions of the Peninsula have in fact discovered that there are many indigenous grape varieties that lend themselves splendidly to the so-called “rose winemaking” both in terms of still wines and bubbles. Of course\, we are talking about a niche market\, but one that from year to year is giving great satisfaction especially to producers. \nThe presentation of the guide\nLa Guida al Bere Rosa 2025\, Rosa Rosati Rosé returns for the second year to Rome with a major event\, March 1\, 2025 at Domus Magnanimi on the Appia Antica\, near the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella. The event is dedicated to the public of wine lovers\, operators\, sommeliers and the press. Hundreds of labels from all over Italy will be tasted\, all Pink Wines from the companies in the guide. Also scheduled are masterclasses on autochthonous pink wines. The Guide\, from this year will be more “green” with the possibility to print a QR Code and examine online the small volume dedicated to Rosé wines at any time and on all devices. \nUseful information:\nMore details on the www.rosarosatirose.eu/ \nFor Press accreditations send an email to accrediti@decanterwineacademy.org

DESCRIPTION:SOL2EXPO\, new international olive oil event at Veronafiere\nSOL2EXPO – a full olive experience\, the international olive oil show\, is preparing to debut as an independent exhibition from March 2 to 4\, 2025 after 28 editions in conjunction with Vinitaly. \nVeronafiere’s new format is distinguished by an exhibition proposal that involves not only olive oil\, but also technologies\, processing equipment and cosmetics\, enriching itself through a product offering designed to meet the needs of both b2b and b2c audiences. \nThe opening day Doemnica March 2 will be open to the public-with the aim of consolidating and increasing its positioning\, including commercial\, in an international perspective. \nOne of the main innovations will involve a focus on by-products of the olive oil supply chain. Indeed\, industry studies indicate that only 15 percent of an olive’s weight is exploited commercially\, while the remainder remains waste material. However\, olive leaves\, pomace and vegetation waters represent a business opportunity due to their properties\, which are particularly in demand in the food\, pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors. \nSol² Expo responds to these market needs by introducing new product classes from the olive oil supply chain (special oils for Horeca\, nutritional oils\, products for cosmetics and wellness\, food products for horeca and super horeca\, and artisanal extra virgin oils)\, products for cosmetics and wellness\, as well as advanced technologies for production and packaging\, with an outdoor area dedicated to machinery. \nItaly\, with more than 400 unique cultivars in the world\, represents an invaluable resource for oil production\, and Sol² Expo aims to enhance this wealth by providing a reference platform for the excellence of extra virgin olive oil and food products linked to the territories. \nHours: \n\nSunday\, March 2\, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.\nMonday\, March 3 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.\nTuesday\, March 4\, 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.\n\nInformation and reservations at the official website https://sol2expo.com/

SUMMARY:Florence - Eccellenza di Toscana
DESCRIPTION:Since 2000\, Eccellenza di Toscana has been the Italian Sommelier Association of Tuscany’s event that highlights and enhances the region’s wine quality.\nEccellenza di Toscana returns to the spotlight on March 8 and 9\, 2025 at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence. The format will feature more than 150 wineries presenting more than 900 labels at tasting tables\, conferences\, workshops\, guided tastings and master classes. \nThe event\nAt the heart of the event are tastings at tasting tables offered by individual producers. More than 300 international producers\, importers\, exporters and relevant associations highlight the growing consumer interest in sustainable\, ecological and natural wine options. Eco-friendly packaging also aligns with this philosophy to optimize the entire product life cycle. The shared vision: to reduce the ecological footprint and promote sustainable practices in the wine industry. \n\nPackaging and Design\nThe wine world is on the threshold of a packaging revolution. In the past\, it was obvious that good wine was filled in glass bottles with corks. Today\, screw caps are the norm for many wines. A second development\, the use of lighter glass bottles\, went more or less unnoticed by consumers. Now a whole new trend is emerging: 3- or 5-liter bag-in-boxes\, 1.5-liter wine bags (a bag without a box)\, recyclable aluminum cans\, PET bottles\, wine from stainless steel kegs in bars\, or even paper wine bottles. The range leaves nothing to be desired\, or so it seems. \n\nBusiness Forum\nThe Business Forum complements the Masterclass Forum. The Business Forum is organized and moderated by U.S. wine expert and award-winning journalist Cathy Huyghe and focuses on a specific topic each day: from the wine consumers of tomorrow to modern wine marketing\, such as artificial intelligence and social media\, to sustainability. \n\n\nProWein Zero – Wines\, spirits and soft drinks\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn recent years\, there has been an impressive trend in the beverage world: the growing popularity of wines\, cocktails and non-alcoholic liquors. This development is driven by growing health awareness\, personal preferences\, and the general trend toward more conscious consumption. This means that these alternatives are experiencing a real renaissance. ‘ProWein Zero’ is proactively responding to this growing trend: here you can find all the latest trends in non-alcoholic beverages. \n\nTasting Areas of Mundus Wines\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Grand International Wine Award will present an outstanding overview of award-winning wines: About 300 wines from all relevant wine countries of the world can be tasted freely and individually by trade visitors at ProWein. For the first time this year\, the Tasting Area will focus on an overview of award-winning wines from organic cultivation. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nUseful information:\n\nProWein 2025 will be held from March 16 to 18\, 2025 and will be open daily from 09:00 to 18:00 \n\n\n\nProWein is an insider-only event. \n\n\nFor more details and to register\, visit the official website https://www.prowein.com/
