SUMMARY:Strevi - Slow Walk in the Valley of Passiti
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, June 7\, 2026\, the “Slow Walk” returns to Strevi\, in the Valley of the Passiti: The route in stages\, among vineyards\, tastings and meetings with producers to discover the Moscato Passito di Strevi DOC\nOn Sunday\, June 7\, 2026\, the “Slow Walk” returns to Strevi\, an event dedicated to the discovery of Moscato Passito di Strevi DOC and the landscape of the Bagnario Valley. Now in its 23rd edition\, the event represents a consolidated moment for the area\, capable of combiningfood and wine experience\, storytelling and local enhancement. \nOrganized by the Associazione Produttori Moscato Passito Valle Bagnario (Bagnario Valley Moscato Passito Producers Association)\, the walk takes place among the vine-covered hills recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site\, fitting into a context of growing attention to forms of experiential tourism\, in which time\, landscape and the relationship with producers become central elements. The initiative represents an opportunity to discover one of the lesser-known expressions of Piedmont wine-growing\, through a format that is accessible but at the same time deeply rooted in the territory. \nThe Moscato Passito of Strevi DOC\nMoscato Passito di Strevi has its roots in more than a thousand years of history\, when Moscato Bianco was cultivated in the Bagnario Valley to produce mass wine by natural drying in the sun. An ancient technique\, today considered among the longest-lived oenological practices in Piedmont. Over time\, this tradition has been handed down and refined thanks to the efforts of local winemakers\, until it obtained in 2000\, recognition as a Slow Food Presidium\, and in 2005\, the “Strevi” Controlled Denomination of Origin\, which came under the protection of the Asti DOCG Consortium in 2024. The Associazione Produttori Moscato Passito Valle Bagnario\, founded in 2004 by a small collective of historic winemakers\, is now an active presidium in the protection and promotion of this tradition and the landscape that hosts it. \nThe production of Moscato Passito di Strevi follows an artisanal and sustainable supply chain. Vineyards at least five years old are cultivated according to the principles of integrated cultivation\, which balances manual labor\, mechanization and targeted treatments to reduce environmental impact. After the selected harvest between August and September\, the best bunches are placed on traditional stagere for natural drying in the sun\, protected from nighttime humidity. The process\, which can last from 20 to 40 days\, results in the grapes losing more than 60 percent of their weight\, concentrating their aromas and sugars. \nDrying is followed by soft crushing and manual pressing to extract the must\, which ferments slowly with some of the skins. After at least two years of aging\, the wine can be bottled as Strevi DOC\, but it also continues to evolve in the bottle\, developing increasing complexity over time. \nThe program of the “Slow Walk”\nThe “Passeggiata Slow” winds its way along an itinerary of about 3 km among the vineyards and views of the Bagnario Valley\, divided into six gastronomic stops curated by the participating wineries: Bagnario di Ivaldi Giampaolo\, Bragagnolo Vini Passiti\, Ca di Cicul di Salina\, Cà du Rüja di Roglia Domenico\, Azienda Agricola Marenco and the Azienda Agricola Oddone Prati. Each stop is conceived as a moment of meeting and tasting\, in which Moscato Passito di Strevi DOC – the protagonist of the initiative – is flanked by a selection of other wines from the wineries\, paired with gastronomic proposals. Among the most evocative points of the route\, there is also a stop at the scenic yellow “Big Bench\,” overlooking the Monferrato landscape\, which returns a wide and immersive view of the territory. \nThe meeting and departure are scheduled from 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.\, located in Strevi at Bagnario Region no. 16 (junction of Valle Bagnario and Valle Pineto). At the start check-point it will be possible to submit registration\, make payment and collect coupons to be handed out at each stage. The event will end by 6 p.m. Parking will be available near the start. \nThe participation fee is 35€ and includes for each gastronomic stop a dish\, a wine proposal from the producer and a tasting of Moscato Passito. Participation is free for children under 8 years old. \nSeating is limited; reservations are required by June 1 through Eventbrite. \nInformation is available by writing to vinipassitivallebagnario@gmail.com. \nThe event is sponsored by the City of Strevi and the Asti DOCG Consortium\, in collaboration with the Slow Food Presidium\, the Slow Food Condotta of Gavi and Ovada.

SUMMARY:Breganze - La Vespaiolona\, goblets on tour among the wineries of D.O.C. Breganze
DESCRIPTION:La Vespaiolona: Seven years after the last edition\, the great traveling wine event dedicated to Vespaiolo wine will return to Breganze on Friday\, June 19\, between the D.O.C. Breganze wineries and Piazza Mazzini.\nThe return of the Vespaiolona\nThere used to be an event in Breganze that celebrated the beginning of summer with the fresh and lively flavor of Vespaiolo wine: the “Vespaiolona\,” an event that every year attracted thousands of visitors on an organized tour to discover the wineries of D.O.C. Breganze. After a seven-year hiatus\, Breganze is ready for its long-awaited return. On Friday\, June 19\, 2026\, the Vespaiolona will return to the stage with an edition that weaves tradition and territorial revitalization\, focusing on a widespread formula of tours and tastings in the wineries\, accompanied by a party in the historic center with Piazza Mazzini becoming the heart of the event. \n“The return of the Vespaiolona\,” comments Giuseppe Vittorio Santacatterina\, President of the Consortium for the Protection of D.O.C. Breganze Wines\, “was strongly desired by the territory\, the wineries and the municipal administration\, aware of the value that this event has been able to generate over the years. We return with an edition that aims first and foremost to be an experience of discovery: of the wineries\, of our winemaking identity and of the landscape that characterizes D.O.C. Breganze\, a heritage that deserves to be known beyond regional borders. The denomination brings together different realities\, often small in size\, but with a strong personality. Each winery represents a unique expression of Vespaiolo and the hillside context in which it produces its wines. For this long-awaited return\, the wineries will not only offer tastings\, but also stories and pairings related to the territory and its local productions.” \nVespaiolo D.O.C. Breganze\nIf Torcolato represents the meditative soul of the indigenous Vespaiola grape\, obtained from its drying in cellar lofts\, Vespaiolo D.O.C. Breganze expresses its fresher\, more savory character. Over the years it has established itself as one of the territory’s most representative wines\, the protagonist of iconic pairings such as baccalà alla vicentina and white asparagus from Bassano. Vespaiolona will offer an opportunity to discover its different interpretations\, from still to sparkling versions. \nThe organizing machine is led by the Consortium for the Protection of D.O.C. Breganze Wines in collaboration with DuePunti Eventi and the Municipality of Breganze. The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. (cash desk and music closing at 12:30 a.m.). Dedicated programs\, including tastings\, food pairings and moments of entertainment\, will be offered by the participating wineries: Cantina Beato Bartolomeo Da Breganze\, Cantina Zoe\, Col Dovigo\, Contrà San Felice\, Costa del Sole\, IoMazzuccato\, La Costa\, Tenute Fosca\, Le Vigne Terre di Confine\, Transit Farm\, Vitacchio Massimo. \nEvent organization\nA shuttle bus service will provide connections between the center of Breganze and the wineries. Buses will depart from Piazzetta delle Poste for the IoMazzuccato (line 1)\, Le Vigne Terre di Confine (line 2)\, La Costa and Tenute Fosca (line 3) wineries. Small trains will depart from Piazza Mazzini for the Col Dovigo and Vitacchio Massimo wineries (line 4). The Beato Bartolomeo Winery on Via Roma\, on the other hand\, will be within walking distance. \nA large tasting area will be set up in Piazza Mazzini by the Costa del Sole\, Cantina Zoe\, Contrà San Felice and Transit Farm wineries with food offerings and musical entertainment. Access to the wineries and the wine & food tasting area in the square\, including the use of buses and small trains\, will be allowed only to participants with a kit-pass that can be purchased from Monday\, May 11\, exclusively on the website https://vespaiolona.ticket4event.it/ (while places are available). \nKit-passes purchased online can be picked up by presenting the booking confirmation voucher on the following days: Tuesday\, June 16 and Wednesday\, June 17 at the Consortium office at 100 Via Roma in Breganze from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday\, June 19 from 4:30 p.m. in Mazzini Square. \nThe Vespaiolona is organized by the Consortium for the Protection of D.O.C. Breganze Wines with DuePunti Eventi\, under the patronage of the Veneto Region\, the Municipality of Breganze\, the Municipality of Sarcedo and the Municipality of Fara Vicentino. \nThe full program is available at https://www.breganzedoc.it.

With the 2026 edition we will complete the Editor project\, after three years of investment and success in the medical field\, thanks to intense multidisciplinary collaboration throughout Italy.” \nAssociate Professor of Medical Genetics at the University Federico II of Naples and Principal Investigator of CEINGE the Institute of Advanced Biotechnology at the University of Naples Federico II\, Mario Capasso\, pointed out: \n“The accuracy of the data obtained in years of work\, thanks to collaboration with national and foreign research centers\, now allows us to better understand the mechanisms and genetic predisposition for the development of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. With Associate Professor of Medical Genetics at the University of Milano-Bicocca\, Giovanni Cazzaniga\, we have combined different professional skills with a single goal: that of collecting the largest number of samples-as many as 800-to be analyzed and studied for the purpose of identifying DNA mutations that are the likely object of disease development. We found that 12 percent of patients already had the presence of such mutations in their genomic make-up\, a result that opens new avenues in treatment and prevention.” \nAgostino Gallozzi\, president of Marina d’Arechi\, also renews support for the initiative: \n“We are happy to welcome Buonissimi once again to Marina d’ Arechi . DESCRIPTION:Sea and Vitovska in Morje 2026: June 26 and 27 at Duino Castle\, Karst celebrates the area’s iconic wine\nMare e Vitovska is the annual rendezvous with the most famous indigenous grape variety of the Trieste\, Gorizia and Slovenian Karst\, organized by the Association of Karst-Kras Winegrowers in collaboration with local restaurants in the picturesque location of Duino Castle. \nTastings with food pairings by restaurateurs from the province of Trieste and beyond; a guided tasting by the AIS of Trieste\, a conference with the theme “Vitovska\, wine of the Karst\, an expression of its territory and those who cultivate it. Resistant to the trends of fickle viticultural fashion. What future has viticulture linked to native wines and its terroir?” \nCorner shops with typical Karst products such as wines\, cheeses\, cured meats\, sweets\, honey and extra virgin olive oil will be set up. \nThe Vitovska\nVitovska is a white grape variety that has always been grown in the province of Trieste and in areas of neighboring Slovenia. The origin of the name is still uncertain\, but the grape variety is probably of Slovenian origin. Some claim that the origin of the name comes from the Slovenian word vitica (grape vine). \nUnlike other varieties whose ancient or recent origins are known\, Vitovska can be considered a native variety; in fact\, there is no trace of other varieties with which it can be identified in other regions of the Mediterranean\, and its history has been lost in the folds of centuries of local tradition\, reaching\, through a long process of adaptation and selection\, the current characteristics that allow it to give results in the red lands of the Karst where it is able to withstand\, whipped by the Bora\, the cold winters and the drought of the hot season. \nThe wine made from the Vitovska grape variety is straw yellow with greenish hues; a dry wine\, fresh in acidity\, with persuasive fruity hints of Williams pear and sage\, savory\, full-bodied\, with a mineral note. Pleasant palate and pleasantly bitter finish. \nProducing wine on the Karst is extremely difficult\, pure heroic viticulture: tearing out from the rock\, meter by meter\, with the pickaxe\, spreading a layer of fertile ferrous red soil painstakingly removed from the sinkholes and planting a vine in it. \nToday Vitovska is queen of the Karst\, a unique territory in the world. \nThe Program\nWednesday\, June 24 \nTAKE a tour of the vineyard\, discovering Azr.
