SUMMARY:Morbegno in Cantina 2026
DESCRIPTION:Morbegno in Cantina 2026: from September 25th to October 11th\, three weekends featuring historic wineries\, great Valtellina wines\, and local flavors\nFrom September 25th to ’ October 11th\, 2026\, Morbegno returns to Cantina\, an event that brings a widespread journey to the historic center of Morbegno\, in the heart of Valtellina\, to discover the wines and flavors of the area. \nAn itinerary between wine and history\nFor three weekends\, historic wineries\, courtyards\, courtyards\, palaces\, and cloisters open their doors\, transforming the city into a tasting itinerary to be explored on foot. Wine thus becomes the common thread for understanding an important part of Valtellina’s cultural heritage\, between places not normally accessible and the expressions of viticulture characterized by terraces\, craftsmanship\, and a strong territorial identity. \nThe 2026 edition introduces a significant new feature: the wineries will also be open on Friday evenings\, from 6 to 10 pm\, in addition to Saturdays and Sundays. The event takes place on the weekends of September 25–27\, October 2–4 and October 9–11\, with tastings on Fridays from 6pm to 10pm\, on Saturdays from 12pm to 10pm and on Sundays from 11am to 6pm. \nThe tasting routes\nVisitors can choose from several tasting tours\, built around different interpretations of Valtellina’s winemaking heritage. \nAmong the 2026 offerings are Rossi e Bio\, which compares Valtellina Superiore and Riserve with organic produce; Sforzati e Bolle\, dedicated to the dialogue between the structure and intensity of Sforzati and the freshness of bubbles; and Rossi\, Bianchi & amp; Rosé\, which offers a journey through different expressions of local production. \nAdded to these are Voices of the Vineyard – from the Producer to the Chalice\, housed in the Cloister of Sant’Antonio\, where ten small producers can directly talk about their wines\, their work in the vineyard and their relationship with the area. It is a particularly interesting formula because it introduces\, alongside the guided route\, a more direct relationship between winemaker and visitor. \nDiscovering Valtellina’s heroic viticulture\nThe tasting thus also becomes an opportunity to learn about Valtellina’s heroic viticulture\, that of terraced vineyards and dry stone walls\, and to encounter some of the wines that most represent its identity\, from Sforzato to Valtellina Superiore. \nMorbegno in Cantina allows us to approach this heritage not only through the chalice\, but also through the landscape and the stories of those who continue to cultivate the vine in an area where viticulture still requires significant manual labor today. \nNot just wine: experiences in the area\nWine is\, however\, only one element of the experience. Morbegno in Cantina offers a program of activities dedicated to discovering the area\, with guided tours of Palazzo Malacrida\, trekking and e-biking through vineyards and the landscape\, experiences dedicated to oil\, viticulture activities\, and activities for families and young people. \nAmong the new features for 2026 is a greater focus on the possibility of experiencing the event differently from the traditional tasting itinerary. The Non-Alcoholic Pass offers a parallel itinerary with juices\, infusions\, fermented foods\, and other non-alcoholic beverages related to the area\, while the Wine Jobs Experience addresses the topic of wine professions and training opportunities for young people. \nValtellina wine and gastronomy\nFinally\, there’s no shortage of connection to Valtellina’s gastronomy: wines are accompanied by traditional local products and preparations\, on a journey that brings together wine\, food\, history\, and territory. \nThe event thus becomes an opportunity to learn about Valtellina through some of its most characteristic expressions\, from wine to cuisine\, to the landscape and historical heritage of Morbegno. \nA new phase for the demonstration\nThe 2026 edition also marks the beginning of a new phase for Morbegno in Cantina\, entrusted for the next five years to SGP Grandi Eventi\, in partnership with PLM Servizi\, with the involvement of local associations and organizations. \nA formula that aims to strengthen the experiential dimension of the event while keeping the relationship with Morbegno and its community at the center. \n\nDates: September 25–27\, October 2–4\, and October 9–11\, 2026\nOpening hours: Friday from 6pm to 10pm\, Saturday from 12pm to 10pm and Sunday from 11am to 6pm.\nLocation: Morbegno (SO)\, historic center

SUMMARY:Vicenza – ViWine Festival 2026
DESCRIPTION:ViWine Festival 2026: From October 2 to 4\, wine returns to the heart of Vicenza with three days of tastings\, events\, experiences\, and culinary delights\nWine Meets the City\nFrom October 2 to 4\, 2026\, the ViWine Festival returns to Vicenza for its seventh edition. The event takes place primarily in Piazza dei Signori\, in the city’s historic center\, with a program that combines wine tastings with meetings with producers\, cultural events\, culinary offerings\, and entertainment. \nFor the 2026 edition\, the festival announces the participation of over 40 wineries and more than 200 wine labels\, with a selection that includes wines from various regions. Admission to the square is free\, but to participate in the tasting tour\, you must purchase the corresponding package\, which includes a wine glass and tokens for the tastings. \nWine Tastings and Meet-and-Greets with Producers\nThe heart of ViWine remains the tour of the wineries\, designed to allow the public to learn about wines\, regions\, and labels through direct interaction with the producers. \nThe 2026 format therefore maintains the distinction between free admission to the event and the paid tasting route. The wine is accompanied by a selection of food items that can be purchased directly from the food exhibitors. \nIn addition to the wine tasting in the square\, this year the festival is expanding its offerings with new experiences that connect wine with culture\, art\, movement\, and an appreciation of the city. \nThe New “Experiences”\nAmong the events already announced are two masterclasses dedicated to wines from the Vicenza region: the first\, focused on Vespaiola di Breganze\, is scheduled for Saturday\, October 3; the second\, dedicated to Garganega and Durella and their relationship with volcanic soils\, is scheduled for Sunday\, October 4. \nThe program also includes “Ceramichine\,” an experience that combines ceramic painting with wine tasting\, and “Wine Pilates\,” an activity that alternates Pilates exercises with wine tasting sessions. \nParticularly interesting for its exploration of the relationship between wine and the city’s heritage is the cultural tour “Vicenza in a Glass\, ” organized in collaboration with the La Vigna International Library and the Vicenzaè Consortium: a guided tour that begins at the La Vigna Library and continues through the historic center\, highlighting the history of wine and the cellars from Palladio’s time\, and concludes in Piazza dei Signori with a wine tasting. \nFuori Festival\nOne of the new features of the 2026 edition is the Fuori Festival\, held at Corte dei Bissari\, where the program features not only wines but also spirits and music. \nThe festival thus maintains a concept that goes beyond a simple wine event\, seeking to connect wine with life in the historic center and with various forms of experience and entertainment. \nProgram\nThe general schedule previously announced is as follows: \n\nFriday\, October 2: Piazza dei Signori 7:00 PM–12:00 AM; Fuori Festival at Corte dei Bissari 7:00 PM–1:00 AM.\nSaturday\, October 3: Piazza dei Signori 3:00 PM–12:00 AM; Off-Festival at Corte dei Bissari 3:00 PM–1:00 AM.\nSunday\, October 4: Piazza dei Signori and Corte dei Bissari 11:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m.\n\nThe detailed program is being updated gradually by the organizers; some events are already listed\, and others will be announced at a later date. \nInformation Summary\n\nDates: October 2–4\, 2026\nLocation: Piazza dei Signori and Corte dei Bissari\, Vicenza\nAdmission: free; a special package is required for tastings\nOfficial website: https://viwinefestival.it

SUMMARY:Cinque Terre - I Vini dell’Amore
DESCRIPTION:I Vini dell’Amore: Collective tasting along the Via dell’Amore\, the most iconic route in the Cinque Terre\, on Saturday\, October 3rd from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM\nHow can you not fall in love with the viticulture of the Cinque Terre? Cultivating vines here is truly a matter of passion: it means working on heroic slopes\, protecting terraces and dry stone walls\, dealing with harsh terrain every day and producing wines in necessarily limited quantities. \nAnd what more suitable place than the Way of Love to bring together those who continue to cultivate with stubborn tenacity and make known the wines that are born from such rare viticulture? \nIt is from these reflections that I Vini dell’Aeroimore was born\, the event organized by the Pro Loco of Riomaggiore and Manarola in collaboration and with the patronage of the Municipality of Riomaggiore and the Cinque Terre National Park\, scheduled for Saturday\, October 3rd on the Via dell’Amore. \nFor the first time\, the Cinque Terre’s most iconic trail is being the site of a group tasting dedicated to local viticulture: from 5 to 8 pm\, 23 wineries will be located along the trail\, united by the Cinque Terre Winemakers’ Association and the Cinque Terre Social Winery. \nAn opportunity to meet directly with the producers of Riomaggiore\, Vernazza\, and Monterosso\, sampling\, from glass to glass\, the white wines of the Cinque Terre\, an expression of this viticulture that combines exceptional oenological and scenic quality. \nThe Way of Love and the Cinque Terre\nBringing wines to the Via dell’Amore\, rebuilt after years of closure\, makes the inseparable and delicate connection between agriculture and landscape even more evident. In the Cinque Terre\, to make slopes that were naturally not cultivable\, man has transformed them over the centuries into terraces overlooking the sea. A deeply anthropized landscape\, which can only continue to exist if it continues to be cultivated. \n«Agriculture in the Cinque Terre has helped build the landscape and continues to keep it afloat – explains Fabrizia Pecunia\, mayor of Riomaggiore. – “Wines of Love” was created to put producers at the center and recognize the role their work plays in protecting and promoting the future of the Cinque Terre. I thank the Pro Loco of Riomaggiore and Manarola for the commitment that made this first edition possible». \n«The Way of Love is a meeting place par excellence: between land and sea\, rock\, vegetation and human labor. They are the same elements that wine encloses and restores. This collective tasting thus becomes a taste of a collective landscape\, built over the centuries by generations of women and men. A unique event like these wines\, which are part of the connective tissue of the Cinque Terre» comments Lorenzo Viviani President of the Cinque Terre National Park \nInformation\n\nList of present wineries\nWhen: Saturday\, October 3\, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM\nWhere: Via dell’Amore – Entrance from Riomaggiore and Manarola\nTickets: On the occasion of the event\, the Via dell’Amore will be accessible free of charge from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Participation in I Vini dell’Amore\, with wine tasting along the route\, includes a paid ticket

SUMMARY:A Hundred Years of Bardolino
DESCRIPTION:Wine\, 100 Years of Bardolino: Celebrations for the consortium’s centennial kick off on October 9 with tastings\, art\, and cultural exchanges\nA century of history\, looking toward the future. From October 9 to 11\, the Bardolino Wine Consortium celebrates its first 100 years with three days dedicated to exploring one of Italy’s most popular wine appellations\, featuring tastings\, in-depth discussions\, and artistic collaborations. \nComprising events reserved for the press and those open to the public\, the Centennial program will center on the talk “Let’s Look Ahead – Wine: Thinking ‘Top’ and Planning ‘Pop’” (Saturday at 11 a.m.\, Garda Convention Center)\, a session entirely dedicated to the theme of value creation\, featuring an open dialogue among key figures from the worlds of wine\, hospitality\, business\, and culture. The event will begin with an analysis by Carlo Flamini\, head of the UIV Observatory\, focusing on consumer trends—starting with new ways of connecting with consumers—followed by remarks from the Consortium’s president\, Fabio Dei Micheli\, on the current state of the appellation and its new goals. Following this\, the roundtable discussion will bring together the experiences of Andrea Amadei (The Art of Wine)\, Renato Bosco (Pizzeria Renato Bosco)\, artist Marco Lodola\, Andrea Pernigo (Pernigo Group)\, Diego Rossi (Ristorante Trippa)\, and Margherita Tovo (Meracinque). The common thread: the success of “pop-to-top” strategies\, capable of building identity\, brand recognition\, and a promising future. \nStarting Saturday afternoon and continuing throughout Sunday (Saturday 5:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.\, Sunday 11:00 a.m.–11:30 p.m.)\, the Villa Carrara Bottagisio Park (Bardolino\, VR) will be transformed into the Bardolino Pop Garden\, a tasting event open to the public and inspired by the pairing of wine and art\, organized by the Bardolino Wine Consortium and part of the Art Verona program. Here\, visitors will not only be able to taste wines from the appellation and enjoy pairings curated by Renato Bosco’s Cruncheria\, but also stroll among Marco Lodola’s luminous artworks\, accompanied by DJ sets and live music. \nThe Centennial will kick off on Friday with a program reserved for the Italian and international trade press\, during which journalists will participate in in-depth masterclasses and meetings with producers. \nActive since 1926\, the Bardolino Wine Consortium represents and protects the Bardolino DOC designation\, which encompasses several historic wine types from the Veronese Lake Garda region: Bardolino\, a red wine made from the Veneto’s premier native grape variety\, Corvina Veronese\, and Chiaretto di Bardolino\, Italy’s premier rosé wine. With a vineyard area of 2\,400 hectares—1\,000 of which are dedicated to Chiaretto—the 2026 vintage yields a production of approximately 20 million bottles\, divided equally between the Bardolino and Chiaretto DOPs.

Fifty selected wineries from all over Italy (and beyond)\, street food\, talks\, workshops\, and guided tours. The GWF OFF events throughout the city center are also back. \nOn Saturday\, October 10\, and Sunday\, October 11\, Villa Bombrini in Genoa Cornigliano will open its doors to the highly anticipated fourth edition of the event—now a must-attend for wine lovers and the city alike—featuring 50 wineries from all over Italy (and beyond). \nThe event\, organizedby APS Papille Clandestine\, maintains its signature format: an informal\, convivial atmosphere based on direct interaction between the public and the producers. It’s a unique opportunity to meet winemakers\, discover stories about vineyards and local specialties\, and purchase your favorite bottles directly on site. \nThe goal of the event is to introduce a broad audience to mindful consumption of quality products\, including through workshops and tastings. It also aims to convey the producers’ passion in an accessible and authentic way. \nThe Festival’s Wineries\nAt the heart of the GWF will be a selection—chosen without ideological bias—of wineries that have distinguished themselves for their quality\, direct production\, commitment to the local territory\, small scale\, or family-run operations. Selected directly by the organizers\, these wineries showcase the wines that are drunk (and have historically been drunk) in Genoa and Liguria. \nThe complete list of wineries can be found at https://genovawinefestival.it/#cantine \nAccompanying them are local street food options designed to pair perfectly. \nThe Festival Program\n\nSaturday\, October 10\, from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.\nSunday\, October 11\, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.\n\nThere will be ten in-depth wine tastings and eight “Wines on the Terrace” sessions—informal 15-minute gatherings to get to know a producer through one of their wines. There will also be guided tours of Villa Bombrini\, the finest example of 18th-century aristocratic architecture in the Genoa area\, and creative workshops for children ages 4 to 11\, making this a family-friendly event. \nAll events can be reserved (subject to availability) on the event’s website and are included in the admission ticket. \nThe complete and updated program is available at: https://genovawinefestival.it/ \nVilla Bombrini\nVilla Bombrini\, located in the Cornigliano neighborhood of Genoa\, is the finest example of 18th-century aristocratic architecture in the Genoa area. Built in 1752 by Pierre Paul De Cotte for the Marquis of Durazzo\, it has passed through the hands of various owners over the centuries\, including the House of Savoy\, and eventually became the headquarters of Italsider. \nRestored to its former glory following a meticulous renovation\, and surrounded by a beautiful garden and a courtyard of honor\, it is now a cultural center that hosts events\, exhibitions\, and initiatives. It is also the headquarters of the Genoa Liguria Film Commission. \nGWF Off: The Festival Spread Throughout the City\nLeading up to and accompanying the main event will be the packed schedule of GWF OFF: a series of events ranging from themed dinners to guided tastings at venues throughout Genoa and its province\, offering the chance to chat about wine directly with the visiting winemakers on the evenings of Thursday\, October 8\, and Friday\, October 9. \nUseful information\n\nOne-day ticket available for purchase online. SUMMARY:Sardinia - Passi di Gusto 2026
DESCRIPTION:Sardinia: “Passi di Gusto” Returns as Part of “Week End in Cammino”: Four Days on Foot Amid Flavors\, Wine\, and Landscapes\nOn October 10 and 11\, and October 31 and November 1\, the Santa Barbara Mining Trail in Sardinia will once again become a culinary journey. The route will also include the Carignano Trails\, one year after their official launch \nFollowing the success of its first edition\, “Passi di Gusto\,” a project by the Santa Barbara Mining Trail Foundation \, returns in 2026 . The goal is to transform the trail into an experience that combines hiking\, culture\, food and wine\, and encounters with local producers and communities. \nThe second edition of the festival will take place on the weekends of October 10–11 and October 31–November 1. Four days dedicated to exploring southwestern Sardinia through walking tours\, local specialties\, wines\, traditions\, and iconic sites along the Santa Barbara Mining Trail. \nThe Program \nIt kicks off on Saturday\, October 10\, in Buggerru\, with a loop route that will also pass through the Henry Tunnel. The day will focus on the sea\, fishing\, and wine\, featuring chef Francesco Stara and pastry chef Gabriele Giambastiani. \nOn Sunday\, October 11\, it will be Villacidro’s turn\, with the event starting at the racetrack and featuring a looped route that will take participants on a journey of discovery through the local area. Chef Raffaele Altamura from the Hotel Management School\, along with the leaders of the workshops dedicated to olive oil\, honey\, and bread\, will showcase traditional local products through their cooking. The Agricultural Institute will serve as the central hub for the day’s events. \nThe third event\, on Saturday\, October 31\, will bring together two regions and two culinary traditions of the Basso Sulcis area. The journey will begin in Nuxis and end at the Santadi Winery\, along a route focused primarily on the culture of wine and olive oil. Chef Ivano Congiu will be in the kitchen\, joined by pastry chef Barbara Congiu. \nThe grand finale will take place on Sunday\, November 1\, in Carloforte\, at the Tonnare Piam\, with an event that begins at the harbor and weaves together the sea and the island’s traditions with the culture of wine and coral. Chefs Andrea Rosso and Cristiano Rosso will be the stars of the culinary lineup. \nBest Wishes to the Sentieri del Carignano \nIn October 2026\, the Sentieri del Carignano will “celebrate” its first anniversary. This walking food-and-wine tour\, created as part of the Santa Barbara Mining Trail\, was officially launched in September 2025 as a route dedicated to the relationship between the Sulcis landscape\, mining culture\, and Carignano del Sulcis DOC wine. \nSpanning twelve stages\, the Sentieri del Carignano trails now stretch over 200 kilometers through vineyards\, along the coast\, through villages\, past archaeological sites\, and past remnants of mining activity. They offer the chance to meet producers\, visit wineries\, and experience firsthand one of the most distinctive aspects of Sardinia’s wine-growing heritage. This past year has marked significant growth for the project\, which has expanded from its initial length of about 60 kilometers to its current length of over 200 kilometers\, accompanied by an intensive promotional campaign involving the entire community\, businesses\, and residents. \nThe Carignano Trails—a key part of the Sulcis region’s transformation into an authentic tourist destination and now synonymous with active tourism—took center stage in two press tours for the food and wine trade press Italian and international (A third press tour will take place in late October 2026) and have begun to gain increasing visibility in the world of wine tourism and slow tourism. The project has also been presented at the world’s leading wine events\, including Vinitaly and the Merano Wine Festival\, where he made his debut in 2025 with a master class dedicated to Carignano del Sulcis. \nIt is precisely this evolution that makes the second edition of Passi di Gusto particularly significant: some of its routes will intersect with the Sentieri del Carignano\, linking two projects that share a common goal— to showcase the region through the direct experience of walking and its food and wine heritage. Passi di Gusto thus becomes a new opportunity to discover the Sulcis region at a leisurely pace: not just a simple hike\, but a journey through the landscape\, the history of mining\, the vineyards\, and the flavors of an authentic Sardinia\, where every step can become an encounter and every product a story of the region. \nUseful Information\nThe detailed program for the second edition and information on how to participate are available here: https://www.cmsb.it/it/Passi-di-gusto-2026

SUMMARY:Colli Euganei DOC at the Salone dei Sapori
DESCRIPTION:Colli Euganei DOC at the Salone dei Sapori: Euganean red wines at the Padua Fair from October 11 to 18\nDOC Red Wines Colli Euganei take center stage at the Salone dei Sapori\nThe red wines of the Colli Euganei DOC will take center stage at the Salone dei Sapori\, scheduled to take place in Padua from October 11 to 18. During this time\, Padua’s historic center will be filled with aromas\, delicacies\, and local products for the eighth edition of the city’s food festival\, which brings together knowledge and flavors. The event is conceived and promoted by Superfly Lab and organized by Veneto Suoni e Sapori\, in partnership with the Consorzio Tutela Vini Colli Euganei. \n There are three initiatives dedicated to the Colli Euganei DOC\, produced from grapes of Bordeaux origin—namely Merlot\, Cabernet Sauvignon\, Cabernet Franc\, and Carménère—which have been perfectly acclimated to the Euganean region for two centuries. These wines have a distinctly regional character\, with Mediterranean notes\, enhanced by the local microclimate. \nMonday\, October 12\nLet’s get started Monday\, October 12 (6:00 p.m.) at the Sala Bianca of Caffè Pedrocchi with a tasting “The Paduan Chicken Meets the Wines of the Euganean Hills”. A tasting event to discover one of Padua’s culinary icons\, the Gallina Padovana. The history\, ingredients\, and recipes will be presented by chefs and restaurateurs from the city and the surrounding province as part of an initiative to promote and preserve this traditional Paduan dish\, thanks to a collaboration with APPE (Provincial Association of Public Establishments). For the occasion\, participants will be able to sample a selection of cicchetti inspired by traditional Paduan chicken dishes\, accompanied by a A selection of Colli Euganei DOC wines edited by Consortium for the Protection of Euganean Hills Wines. \nTuesday\, October 13\nOn Tuesday\, October 13 (6:00 p.m.) in the Sala Verde at Caffè Pedrocchi\, the series continues with “Caseus Patavinus 1222 Meets the Wines of the Euganean Hills.” This project stems from a collaboration that began in 2023 between the “Lucio Toniolo” Experimental Farm of the University of Padua and the Morandi Dairy in Anguillara Veneta. The resulting product is a aged cow’s milk cheese made from raw milk that combines exceptional organoleptic qualities with specific cultural significance. The milk used comes from a herd of Italian Red-and-White cows. The cows are fed rations rich in forage produced on the farm and have access to extensive pastureland. All of this promotes optimal health conditions and a high level of well-being. The result is milk of excellent quality and a cheese with unique nutritional characteristics. \nProf. Francesco Morari (director of the University of Padua’s Experimental Farm) will be on hand to present the project while the cheese-cutting demonstration and guided tasting will feature Angela Morandi (owner of Caseificio Morandi) and Alberto Cisotto\, president of the Sotto il Salone Consortium and owner of Bottega Veneta. For the occasion\, participants will be able to taste the different varieties of this cheese paired with a selection of Colli Euganei DOC wines. \nThursday\, October 15\n On Thursday\, October 15 (from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.)\, the “Ombre d’autunno Sotto il Salone” event returns—an unmissable aperitif event in Europe’s oldest covered market. An evening of tastings featuring dishes and cicchetti prepared by the historic shops of the SottoSalone and paired with the finest red wines from the Euganean Hills. The event is the result of a collaboration between the Sotto Salone Consortium and the Colli Euganei Wine Protection Consortium. The goal is to promote the culture of locally sourced food and wine\, highlighting the province’s finest products and encouraging people to make informed choices that prioritize quality and local produce. The Sotto Salone will host 12 wineries from the Colli Euganei region. They will offer a selection of red wines from the Colli Euganei DOC of various vintages\, which will be paired with the culinary offerings of the Mercato Sotto Salone. \nThe complete festival program is available on the website www.salonesapori.it

SUMMARY:Venice - Malvasia Pop-Up
DESCRIPTION:Malvasia Pop Up: When Malvasia Is Pop! The project dedicated to one of the most fascinating stories in the world of wine\, winner of the 2026 Iter Vitis Award\nMalvasia Pop-Up\nMalvasia Pop Up™ is a cultural and food-and-wine project conceived in Venice by Laura Riolfatto—a cultural project manager\, wine storyteller\, and sommelier— dedicated to researching and promoting the nineteen varieties of Italian Malvasia and their historical ties to Venice and the Mediterranean. \nAt Docks Cantieri Cucchini in San Pietro di Castello \, as well as along routes extending to the city of Venice and the lagoon\, the project takes shape through social events where wine and food are the focal points of conversation among people\, lagoon cruises\, urban tours\, and special gatherings. \nRecently\, Malvasia Pop Up™ received The Iter Vitis Award 2026 – Best Wine and Food Experience for its contribution to promoting wine heritage\, cultural tourism\, and sustainable regional development. The award—sponsored by Iter Vitis\, the international federation that celebrates and protects the world’s wine heritage by promoting sustainable wine tourism – recognized the value of an independent project that uses the Wine heritage as a tool for knowledge and cultural storytelling. In addition\, on that occasion Laura Riolfatto has been named Malvasia Ambassador for Malvasia Myth\, an international project dedicated to promoting Malvasia wines and their cultural and viticultural heritage. \n“Malvasia Pop Up was born from a very simple question\, – says its creator\, Laura Riolfatto – ‘How many stories can we tell starting with a glass of Malvasia?’ From there\, I embarked on a journey that led me to bring together wine\, history\, art\, food\, photography\, and culinary culture\, exploring the deep connection that links Malvasia wines to Venice and the Mediterranean. Receiving this award means seeing this very approach to wine recognized—not merely as something to be tasted\, but as a language through which to convey culture\, memory\, and history.” \nEvent Calendar\n\nOctober 17\, toward evening\, in the Lagoon will take Malvasia Pop Up™ out onto the water\, aboard Camoma’s historic bragozzo\, the Sant’Alban\, for a journey through the Venetian Lagoon at the intersection of wine\, landscape\, and memory. The boat trip—which will depart from San Pietro di Castello—will become part of the narrative: the history of Malvasia\, its trade\, and its centuries-old connection to Venice will intertwine with that of Dorona\, the lagoon’s iconic grape variety. A stop at Vignole\, amid vegetable gardens and the lagoon landscape\, will feature a tasting and an introduction to the island’s culinary delights\, before returning to Venice as evening falls. An experience designed to explore the lagoon through wine\, following the traces of a culture born from the encounter between water\, land\, and the vine.\nOn November 20\, it will be time for The Night of the Malvasias—Stories\, Mysteries\, and Wine in Autumn Venice: a special event featuring Venetian writer and storyteller Alberto Toso Fei\, in which stories\, legends\, and anecdotes from Venice’s most secret corners will intertwine with the history of Malvasia and the traces this wine has left in the city over the centuries. The story will continue at the table with a tasting of three rare Italian red Malvasia wines\, on a journey through regions\, grape varieties\, and memory\, organized in collaboration with Iter Vitis\, a Cultural Route of the Council of Europe and with the Consortium for the Protection of Malvasia di Casorzo DOC. The event will take place at the Cantieri Cucchini Docks inside Tesa3 Marzotto.\nOn December 20\, the 2026 program will conclude with The Table as a Cultural Language\, a lunch and storytelling event dedicated to Italian red Malvasia wines. The table as a meeting place for wine\, food\, and culture\, where the tasting becomes the thread of a story that weaves through territories\, traditions\, memories\, and gestures of conviviality. Red Malvasia wines\, in their various expressions\, will accompany a gastronomic journey designed to convey—through taste—the identity of the places from which they originate. An intimate gathering for a select few guests\, on the eve of Christmas\, that will symbolically bring the second year of Malvasia Pop Up™ to a close by returning wine to its most ancient and universal dimension: that of the table as a space for connection\, storytelling\, and sharing. The event will take place at the Cantieri Cucchini Docks inside Tesa3 Marzotto.\n\nVia Querinissima\n Malvasia Pop Up™ is also part of the Via Querinissima network —the European Cultural Route that retraces the journey undertaken in the 15th century by the Venetian nobleman and merchant Pietro Querini. It thus connects Venice with the European territories featured in his story. This participation is in line with Malvasia Pop Up™’s mission to forge connections between wine\, history\, cultural routes\, and European heritage\, starting from Venice and its centuries-old openness toward the Mediterranean and Europe.

SUMMARY:Montecavolo di Quattro Castella – Skin Contact Wine Fest 2026
DESCRIPTION:Skin Contact Wine Fest 2026: The international festival dedicated to macerated white wines and orange wines returns on October 18 in Montecavolo di Quattro Castella\nThe Skin-Contact Wine Festival\nOn Sunday\, October 18 \, 2026\, the Skin Contact Wine Fest returns to Montecavolo di Quattro Castella\, in the province of Reggio Emilia\, for its third edition. The event is dedicated to macerated white wines and Orange Wines\, produced by vinifying white grapes with a period of skin contact—a practice traditionally associated with red wine production. \nThe event was created with the goal of highlighting this unique expression of wine\, focusing on maceration and the relationship between grape variety\, terroir\, and the winemaker’s interpretation. The program includes a day entirely dedicated to wine tasting and direct interaction with the winemakers. \nThe Skin Contact Wine Fest thus offers an experience focused on a type of wine that has won over an increasingly broad audience in recent years\, but which the event chooses to explore primarily through direct interaction with producers and an understanding of the various approaches to maceration. \nAbout fifty producers from Italy and abroad\nThe heart of the festival will be the tasting stations\, where approximately 50 selected producers from various Italian regions and abroad will be present. Visitors will be able to taste the wines freely and speak directly with the producers\, with the option to purchase bottles after the tastings. \nThe list of participants is still being updated. Among the companies already listed are some from Georgia\, Slovenia\, and Croatia. \nIn fact\, the festival’s international presence is one of its defining features\, with a selection that allows for a comparison of different interpretations of wines produced through skin maceration. \nTastings and In-Depth Discussions\nThe format remains that of a tasting event without the traditional trade show setup: attendees can move freely among the booths\, taste the wines\, and purchase bottles directly from the participating wineries. \nIn addition to the tasting stations\, a masterclass will be held in collaboration with AIS—the Italian Sommelier Association—scheduled for 12:00 p.m. The theme and details of the event are still being finalized. \nThroughout the event\, there will also bea food court run by Pro Loco Matildica\, offering food and drinks that can be purchased separately from the admission ticket. \nPractical information\n\nDate: Sunday\, October 18\, 2026\nTime: 11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.\nLocation: Il Boccio\, Via Fratelli Cervi 37\, entrance on Via Nenni\, Montecavolo di Quattro Castella (RE)\nMasterclass: by payment and reservation only\nFood and beverage area: provided by Pro Loco Matildica\nOfficial website: https://www.skincontactwine.it/\n\nThe ticket includes admission to the event\, unlimited tastings at the tasting stations\, a tasting glass\, and a glass holder.
