SUMMARY:Tirano – Eroico Rosso Sforzato Wine Festival 2026
DESCRIPTION:Eroico Rosso 2026: The festival dedicated to Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG returns to Tirano on October 31 and November 1\nTwo Days Dedicated to Sforzato\nOn October 31 and November 1\, 2026\, the Eroico Rosso – Sforzato Wine Festival returns to Tirano\, in the heart of Valtellina. This event is dedicated to Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG\, the wine that symbolizes Valtellina’s mountain viticulture. \nThe festival brings wine to the historic center of the city\, taking place in the courtyards\, cloisters\, and gardens of Tirano’s historic buildings. The tasting tour offers the chance to discover the leading producers of Sforzato and to learn more about a wine closely tied to the terraced vineyards of Valtellina. \nThe Sforzato and “Heroic” Viticulture\nThe central theme of the event is the relationship between Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG and the region where it is produced. Valtellina’s viticulture\, in fact\, takes place on steep slopes and terraces supported by thousands of dry-stone walls\, in conditions that often make the use of machinery difficult or impossible. \nSforzato is made from Nebbiolo grapes —locally known as Chiavennasca—which are left to dry before vinification. It is precisely this connection between the grape variety\, the mountainous territory\, and the drying technique that forms one of the central elements of the story told by the festival. \nWine\, Territory\, and Culture\nIn addition to wine tastings\, Eroico Rosso offers a program that connects wine with the region and local culture. The program includes winery tours\, walks through the terraced vineyards\, tastings in the vineyard\, culinary events\, music\, art\, and performances\, with events taking place throughout Tirano’s historic center and the surrounding wine-growing region. \nThe event thus also offers an opportunity to explore the Valtellina landscape and learn about the work involved in cultivating grapevines on its terraced slopes\, through experiences that combine wine tastings with the discovery of the region. \nInformation\n\nWhen: October 31 – November 1\, 2026\nWhere: Tirano (SO)\nOfficial website: eroicorosso.it

SUMMARY:Rome - Rossini-style Pastiche
DESCRIPTION:Gioachino Rossini: Opera and Marche Cuisine—“Pastiche Rossiniano” in Rome. Monday\, November 2\, at the Casina Valadier: an evening of music\, readings\, dishes\, and traditional products from the Marche region\nOn Monday\, November 2\, the music of Gioachino Rossini will come together with the flavors of his homeland at the Casina Valadier in Rome. \nStarting at 7:30 p.m. in the Hall of Mirrors\, an opera concert\, readings\, and a culinary experience will come together to form “Pastiche Rossiniano\,” an evening event organized by Linfa\, a special agency of the Marche Chamber of Commerce. \nThe Pesaro-born composer loved cooking and the joy of bringing people together around a table. In the Parisian salons he frequented and enlivened\, food and music were a regular feature. This image of Rossini serves as the inspiration for the evening in Rome\, which weaves together different artistic forms and leaves room for irony\, present in both the concert and the readings. \nProgram\nThe reception\, starting at 7:30 p.m.\, will feature fried “olive all’ascolana” served in foil\, paired with a sparkling Passerina wine from the Marche region. \nAt 8:00 p.m.\, soprano Valentina Corradetti\, bass Gaetano Merone\, and pianist Massimiliano Caporale will perform works by Rossini. Joining them\, actor Leone Di Gaetano will present readings dedicated to the composer and his passion for food. The artists’ performances will blend humor and intensity in a show that alternates between music and spoken word. \nAt the end of the concert\, journalist and food and wine critic Leonardo Romanelli will briefly introduce the dishes and products from the Marche region featured during the evening\, such as the mini galantine hamburger\, fried foods\, and cured meats. This will be followed by Filetto alla Rossini with Roman-style artichokes\, which pairs this dish—a tribute to the Pesaro-born composer—with a product that symbolizes the capital’s culinary tradition. \nAt 10 p.m.\, there will be a discussion on signature cuisine. hosted by Leonardo Romanelli\, featuring Laura Melloni of Linfa Marche\, Elisabetta Paviglianiti of the small coffee roastery Kali Natural Food\, and Lucio Pompili\, a chef from the Marche region who is now also a winemaker. The event will focus on the relationship between products\, dining\, and the local area. \nThe culinary journey will conclude with a nougat meringue topped with dark chocolate shavings and a Barbajada alla Rossini affogato\, created in collaboration with Kali Natural Food and the Roman gelateria Crema Alta. \nAll dishes will be paired with a selection of wines from the Marche region. \nThe evening for the general public will end around 11 p.m. Journalists and restaurant industry professionals will also attend the event and may stay until midnight to talk with the producers in attendance and representatives from Linfa. \nInformation \n\nWhen: Monday\, November 2\, from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.\nPublic attendance requires a reservation; seating is limited\nTo reserve a spot\, email pr.enogastronomia@gmail.com. Your reservation will be valid only after you receive a confirmation email from the organizers.

SUMMARY:Monza Wine Experience 2026
DESCRIPTION:A historic Masseto tasting will kick off the Monza Wine Experience 2026\, the wine festival taking place on November 14 and 15.\nNow in its eighth edition\, the Monza Wine Experience will host the first Masseto vertical tasting open to the public in Italy. The walk-around tasting —a staple of recent editions featuring fifty of Italy’s most prestigious wines— has also been confirmed . \nOn November 14 and 15\, the eighth edition of the Monza Wine Experience will kick off in Monza\, a wine event dedicated to wine enthusiasts\, collectors\, and industry professionals. \nThe event will take place at the Sporting Club in Monza\, where a walk-around tasting will be held on Sunday\, November 15\, featuring approximately 50 of the finest wines from the Italian wine scene presented by the producers\, as well as a historic tasting of Masseto\, the Merlot considered the “Italian Petrus\,” hosted atthe Hotel de la Ville on the afternoon of Saturday\, November 14. \nThe First Masseto Vertical Tasting\nMonza Wine continues to establish itself as one of the most sought-after events on the wine scene\, thanks to its ability to feature some of the rarest and most prized wines from the Italian peninsula\, making them available to the general public. \nIt is against this backdrop that the first Masseto tasting open to the public—ever organized by the Tuscan estate in Italy—takes place. A vertical tasting (that is\, tasting the same wine from different vintages) spanning four decades and featuring six vintages of this great Tuscan Merlot \nWe’ll start with the latest vintage available—the 2023\, which has just been released. The 2020 vintage\, a very well-balanced one. The 2015\, which\, thanks to its power\, stands as one of the cult vintages of the 2000s. The 2005\, which has proven its worth over the long term. Then we’ll return to the legendary 2001\, a true symbol of Masseto’s excellence\, considered—along with the 1985 Sassicaia—one of the benchmarks of Italian winemaking. We’ll conclude with the 1997\, a legendary vintage for Tuscany in the 1990s. \nAll wines will be served from Magnum-sized bottles (1.5 liters) sourced directly from the estate\, underscoring the exceptional nature of the tasting. \nMasseto\nAccording to Winesearcher.com\, Masseto is one of Italy’s most expensive and sought-after wines\, and one of the world’s finest red wines. In 2023\, a Nebuchadnezzar (15 liters) from the 2010 vintage fetched the astronomical sum of 56\,250 euros at a Sotheby’s auction. \n“I am particularly excited to trace the first four decades of Masseto’s history in what I believe is the first vertical tasting ever organized in Italy\, chronicling its evolution and expression over time\,” explains Lamberto Frescobaldi\, President and CEO of the estate. \nJoining him for the tasting will be Marco Balsimelli\, technical director at Masseto and one of the rising stars of European winemaking—a native of Tuscany with extensive experience working alongside Eric Boissenot\, a consultant to Bordeaux’s greatest châteaux. Aldo Fiordelli\, journalist and senior editor at James Suckling\, will host the tasting. \n“This is a one-of-a-kind event featuring one of the top three most highly valued wines among Italy’s great labels\, alongside Conterno’s Barolo Monfortino and Roagna’s Barbaresco Crichet Pajé. However\, it’s not just about the wonderful opportunity to taste these oenological gems\, but also to take part in a historic experience that we believe represents nearly 50 years of Italian wine culture at its very best\,” commented Aldo Fiordelli. \nThe Program\nThe Masseto tasting will be reserved for approximately 30 wine enthusiasts who manage to secure a spot at the event\, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday\, November 14\, in the ballroom of the Hotel de la Ville in Monza. The tasting will be led by a team of professional sommeliers. The glasses used to taste this incredible selection of wines will be the refined Zalto Bordeaux glasses\, from the Austrian glass manufacturer that is now among the most sought-after by wine enthusiasts. The price of the tasting will be 350 euros per person. \nOn Sunday\, November 15\, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.\, “L’Eccellenza in Villa\,” the beating heart of the Monza Wine Experience\, returns to the Sporting Club in Monza. A walk-around tasting featuring approximately 50 of the finest Italian wines\, selected with the help of Aldo Fiordelli. \nThis showcases the finest wines of the Italian Peninsula\, featuring producers such as Biondi-Santi\, Antinori – Guado al Tasso\, Burlotto\, Roagna\, Poggio di Sotto\, San Leonardo\, Bertani\, Ferrari Trento\, Isole e Olena\, Castello di Monsanto\, Tenuta San Filippo\, Castell’in Villa\, Trinoro\, Terlano\, Passo Pisciaro\, Biserno\, and others. A self-guided tour of the tasting stations\, offering the chance to meet the producers and learn more about the characteristics of the wines being tasted. \nYou can view the full program and purchase tickets online at monzawinexperience.it

SUMMARY:Venice - Malvasia Pop-Up
DESCRIPTION:Malvasia Pop Up: When Malvasia Is Pop! The project dedicated to one of the most fascinating stories in the world of wine\, winner of the 2026 Iter Vitis Award\nMalvasia Pop-Up\nMalvasia Pop Up™ is a cultural and food-and-wine project conceived in Venice by Laura Riolfatto—a cultural project manager\, wine storyteller\, and sommelier— dedicated to researching and promoting the nineteen varieties of Italian Malvasia and their historical ties to Venice and the Mediterranean. \nAt Docks Cantieri Cucchini in San Pietro di Castello \, as well as along routes extending to the city of Venice and the lagoon\, the project takes shape through social events where wine and food are the focal points of conversation among people\, lagoon cruises\, urban tours\, and special gatherings. \nRecently\, Malvasia Pop Up™ received The Iter Vitis Award 2026 – Best Wine and Food Experience for its contribution to promoting wine heritage\, cultural tourism\, and sustainable regional development. The award—sponsored by Iter Vitis\, the international federation that celebrates and protects the world’s wine heritage by promoting sustainable wine tourism – recognized the value of an independent project that uses the Wine heritage as a tool for knowledge and cultural storytelling. In addition\, on that occasion Laura Riolfatto has been named Malvasia Ambassador for Malvasia Myth\, an international project dedicated to promoting Malvasia wines and their cultural and viticultural heritage. \n“Malvasia Pop Up was born from a very simple question\, – says its creator\, Laura Riolfatto – ‘How many stories can we tell starting with a glass of Malvasia?’ From there\, I embarked on a journey that led me to bring together wine\, history\, art\, food\, photography\, and culinary culture\, exploring the deep connection that links Malvasia wines to Venice and the Mediterranean. Receiving this award means seeing this very approach to wine recognized—not merely as something to be tasted\, but as a language through which to convey culture\, memory\, and history.” \nEvent Calendar\n\nOctober 17\, toward evening\, in the Lagoon will take Malvasia Pop Up™ out onto the water\, aboard Camoma’s historic bragozzo\, the Sant’Alban\, for a journey through the Venetian Lagoon at the intersection of wine\, landscape\, and memory. The boat trip—which will depart from San Pietro di Castello—will become part of the narrative: the history of Malvasia\, its trade\, and its centuries-old connection to Venice will intertwine with that of Dorona\, the lagoon’s iconic grape variety. A stop at Vignole\, amid vegetable gardens and the lagoon landscape\, will feature a tasting and an introduction to the island’s culinary delights\, before returning to Venice as evening falls. An experience designed to explore the lagoon through wine\, following the traces of a culture born from the encounter between water\, land\, and the vine.\nOn November 20\, it will be time for The Night of the Malvasias—Stories\, Mysteries\, and Wine in Autumn Venice: a special event featuring Venetian writer and storyteller Alberto Toso Fei\, in which stories\, legends\, and anecdotes from Venice’s most secret corners will intertwine with the history of Malvasia and the traces this wine has left in the city over the centuries. The story will continue at the table with a tasting of three rare Italian red Malvasia wines\, on a journey through regions\, grape varieties\, and memory\, organized in collaboration with Iter Vitis\, a Cultural Route of the Council of Europe and with the Consortium for the Protection of Malvasia di Casorzo DOC. The event will take place at the Cantieri Cucchini Docks inside Tesa3 Marzotto.\nOn December 20\, the 2026 program will conclude with The Table as a Cultural Language\, a lunch and storytelling event dedicated to Italian red Malvasia wines. The table as a meeting place for wine\, food\, and culture\, where the tasting becomes the thread of a story that weaves through territories\, traditions\, memories\, and gestures of conviviality. Red Malvasia wines\, in their various expressions\, will accompany a gastronomic journey designed to convey—through taste—the identity of the places from which they originate. An intimate gathering for a select few guests\, on the eve of Christmas\, that will symbolically bring the second year of Malvasia Pop Up™ to a close by returning wine to its most ancient and universal dimension: that of the table as a space for connection\, storytelling\, and sharing. The event will take place at the Cantieri Cucchini Docks inside Tesa3 Marzotto.\n\nVia Querinissima\n Malvasia Pop Up™ is also part of the Via Querinissima network —the European Cultural Route that retraces the journey undertaken in the 15th century by the Venetian nobleman and merchant Pietro Querini. It thus connects Venice with the European territories featured in his story. This participation is in line with Malvasia Pop Up™’s mission to forge connections between wine\, history\, cultural routes\, and European heritage\, starting from Venice and its centuries-old openness toward the Mediterranean and Europe.

Buyers\, distributors\, agents\, importers\, Ho.Re.Ca. professionals\, wine shops\, agencies\, and industry experts will have the chance to discover new producers\, expand their networks\, and identify new business opportunities. \nApulia as a hub connecting markets and regions\nThe choice of Puglia represents a strategic step in the development of the Paestum Wine Fest Business. Due to its geographic location and central role in the economic and tourism landscape of Southern Italy\, the Puglia region offers the opportunity to tap into a network of operators that extends beyond regional borders. \nThe goal is to build a network of business relationships capable of connecting companies to their target markets and\, at the same time\, facilitating the entry of new operators into the PWF Business network. \nApulia thus becomes a hub where production\, distribution\, the restaurant industry\, hospitality\, and markets converge—in a model where the host region serves as the platform\, while business is the true protagonist. \n“Our commitment is to build an increasingly robust network of connections\, relationships\, and opportunities for the Italian wine industry in Southern Italy. Puglia represents an important step along this path: we don’t simply want to bring an event to a new region\, but to create a platform capable of effectively connecting wineries\, industry professionals\, and markets\,” says Angelo Zarra. – “With Lucera\, we want to facilitate the alignment of supply and demand\, involving not only Puglia but also neighboring regions and operators who view the South as a strategic market. Our goal is to make the Paestum Wine Fest Business a place where professional relationships can turn into new business opportunities for Italian wine.” \nB2B Meetings and Networking: The Core of the Format\n The event brings together professional meetings and networking opportunities\, designed to foster direct dialogue between producers and market participants. \nSo it’s not just about tasting\, but above all about building relationships\, gaining knowledge\, and creating opportunities to develop new partnerships. \nThe Paestum Wine Fest Business format\, therefore\, brings to Lucera a model in which networking among industry professionals becomes a practical tool for discovering new products\, identifying new business partners\, and gaining a deeper understanding of the needs of various markets. \nThe program will be rounded out by masterclasses\, tastings\, and in-depth sessions focused on the evolution of the industry\, market dynamics\, and the changes currently taking place in the world of wine. \nA monitoring center for market trends\n The Apulia event will also serve as an opportunity to discuss the changes currently taking place in the sector: new distribution models\, shifts in consumer behavior\, developments in the Ho.Re.Ca. market\, innovation\, sustainability\, and new forms of communication. \nThe Paestum Wine Fest Business thus reinforces its role as a think tank and forum for discussion\, where different areas of expertise\, experiences\, and perspectives can come together to interpret market changes and transform them into new opportunities. \nPWF Wine Club: Expertise Across the Supply Chain\nAmong the event’s highlights is the PWF Wine Club\, a project dedicated to promoting the professionalism of the sommelier profession and the role of the sommelier as an ambassador and communicator of wine culture. \nThe project was created to foster meaningful connections between producers\, foodservice professionals\, and consumers\, while promoting an appreciation for local regions\, the quality of local products\, and expertise within the Ho.Re.Ca. sector. \nTwo days to create new opportunities\nThe Paestum Wine Fest Business\, even in this new edition\, is therefore designed as an event where wine serves as a starting point for building professional and business relationships. \nA format that brings its B2B identity to a strategic region and looks beyond the individual event\, with the goal of creating an ever-expanding network among companies and industry professionals\, thereby strengthening commercial ties between Puglia and the central and southern regions. \nInfo and schedule: Paestum Wine Fest – Puglia 2026
