DESCRIPTION:Festa del Moscato di Scanzo e dei Sapori Scanzesi: 2026 is the 18th edition\, organized by the Scanzo Moscato and Scanzesi Flavors Road Association.\nThe event \nFrom September 3 to 6\, 2026\, the Scanzo Moscato and Scanzesi Flavors Festival returns to Scanzorosciate\, in the hills just outside Bergamo. This event is dedicated to the Scanzo Moscato DOCG and the area’s gastronomic excellence.\nFor four days\, the village of Rosciate and the surrounding areas are transformed into a grand itinerary dedicated to wine\, gastronomy\, culture\, and entertainment\, with producers’ houses\, refreshment points\, guided tastings\, workshops\, concerts\, shows\, and family-friendly initiatives. \nThe Festival represents the central moment of the broader Moscato September\, which continues on the following weekends with tastings\, winery visits\, excursions\, and activities to discover the area and the Moscato di Scanzo road. \nThe 2026 program highlights the relationship between Moscato di Scanzo and the surrounding area\, through events dedicated to tasting\, food pairings\, agricultural tradition\, art\, and local culture. \nThe path of taste\nOne of the highlights of the event is the wooden houses of the producers associated with the Strada del Moscato di Scanzo\, where you can meet the producers directly\, taste the wines\, and purchase the labels.\nThe tasting trail is open: \n\nThursday\, September 3: from 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM;\nFriday\, September 4: from 7:00 PM to midnight;\nSaturday\, September 5: from 3:00 PM to midnight;\nSunday\, September 6: 12:00 PM to 11:30 PM.\n\nAlongside the tastings\, there are several refreshment points\, offering traditional dishes\, cutting boards\, gastronomic offerings\, and street food. \nThe Moscato Living Room\nParticularly interesting for wine enthusiasts is the tasting series hosted at the headquarters of the Moscato Protection Consortium of Scanzo\, called Il Salotto del Moscato. \nFour appointments are planned: \n\nSeptember 3\, 8:30 PM – Aromas in the Village: Moscato & Botany:Guided tasting of three expressions of Moscato di Scanzo combined with the olfactory notes and properties of aromatic herbs\, in collaboration with ACCORD Bergamo and the Bergamo Botanical Garden.\nSeptember 4\, 8:30 PM – Grape variety variations: Moscato variations: A journey through different interpretations of the grape variety\, from sparkling to rosé\, from red to passito to Moscato grappa\, in collaboration with AIS Bergamo.\nSeptember 5\, 6:30 PM – The Great Return: Moscato & Chocolate: Workshop dedicated to pairing three different Moscato di Scanzo Passito labels with a selected artisanal chocolate.\nSeptember 6\, 8:30 PM – The Forms of Taste: Moscato & Strachitunt: Tasting of three Moscati di Scanzo paired with three different Strachitunt seasons\, in collaboration with the Strachitunt Valtaleggio Protection Consortium and ASPI Bergamo.\n\ntradition and culture\nThe Moscato di Scanzo Festival is also full of side events. Among the most characteristic events is the Palio del Moscato\, scheduled for Saturday\, September 5th: after the parade in traditional dress through the village\, the four districts of Scanzorosciate compete in the traditional Pigiatura Competition. The Mayors’ Pajatura is also planned to follow\, with Bergamo’s mayors divided into four teams.The program also includes exhibitions\, art installations\, cultural initiatives\, and events dedicated to the history of the area. \nAmong the planned exhibitions: \n\nFermenti d’Arte: the union it creates\, from September 3rd to 20th;\nStreet Photography\, September 3-20;\nUrban Portraits\, at the Aperò Lounge – Youth Space;\nThe traveling exhibition dedicated to the 500th° anniversary of Bartolomeo Colleoni. (https://festadelmoscato.it/programma/)\n\nSports\, nature\, music and shows\nThe Festival also offers numerous activities aimed at families and athletes. \nThe Moscato Beach Games\, the Bergamo Bike Experience – Taste Ride e-bike tour\, Moscato sotto le Stelle\, Astronomical Observation\, and activities at the Moscato Kids Arena are scheduled for Saturday\, September 5th. \nThe Moscato di Scanzo Trail is scheduled for Sunday\, September 6th\, starting at 8:30 am from Piazza Alberico da Rosciate\, followed by the Moscato Kids Run. E-bike tours\, traditional games\, children’s activities\, and puppet shows are also planned throughout the day.The musical program accompanies all the days of the Festival\, with concerts and DJ sets distributed in the various squares. \nAlso scheduled for Saturday the 5th are the conference “The Future of Small DOPs between Extinction and Luxury\,” a cooking show dedicated to Moscato risotto\, and the Moscànsegame\, as well as numerous activities for children and teenagers. \nOn the evening of Sunday 6th\, a tribute to the Olympic athletes who played in Campioni in Borgo will be held.\nThe detailed programme of all activities is available on the institutional page\nThe September of Moscato\nThe Festival does not end with September 6th.
