DESCRIPTION:Cavatore between Prized Black Truffle and Piedmont DOC Albarossa: an event dedicated to Monferrato’s excellence\nOn Sunday\, March 8\, 2026\, the event “Cavatore between fine black truffle and Piedmont DOC Albarossa” is staged in Cavatore (AL). The initiative is organized by the Municipality of Cavatore in collaboration with the Consorzio Barbera d’Asti e Vini del Monferrato\, the Piedmont Region\, Golosaria\, Alexala and theAssociazione Tartufai del Monferrato. \nThe event will take place between Casa Felicità and Casa Scuti Municipal Hall. It will be entirely dedicated to the enhancement ofAlbarossa\, a Piedmont DOC grape variety born from the cross between Barbera and Nebbiolo. A grape capable of interpreting the Monferrato territory in an original way\, giving rise to wines of structure\, intensity and good attitude to evolution over time.  \nThe day’s program\nFrom 10 a.m. and for the duration of the event\, an institutional tasting desk\, run by sommeliers\, will be active at Casa Felicità. The tasting will allow the public to discover a selection of Piedmont DOC Albarossa wines produced by the consortium’s member wineries.  \nAt the same time\, at 10 a.m. at the Conference Hall\, a round table entitled “Precious Black Truffle of Monferrato and Piedmont DOC Albarossa: a love marriage” will be held. A moment of discussion dedicated to the dialogue between viticulture\, territory and local gastronomic excellence\, with a focus on the meeting between two identity symbols of Monferrato.  \nA masterclass “Let’s get to know Piedmont DOC Albarossa” will follow at 11 a.m.  \, led by Paolo Massobrio\, journalist and founder of Golosaria. The meeting will provide an opportunity to learn more about the identity of the appellation\, its sensory characteristics and expressive potential through the narration and tasting of wines.  \nThe Barbera d’Asti and Monferrato Wines Consortium.\nThe event is part of the journey to enhance the territory carried out by the Consortium Barbera d’Asti e Vini del Monferrato\, which through promotion and information initiatives continues to support a structured knowledge of the appellations and food and wine excellence of Monferrato. \nThe Barbera d’Asti e Vini del Monferrato Consortium\, founded in 1946\, currently has more than 430 member companies and 12 protected appellations.
