DESCRIPTION:Buonissimi 2026 – The eighth edition of thecharity event to support scientific research in pediatric oncology is about to kick off\nOrganized by Paola Pignataro and Silvana Tortorella\, Buonissimi 2026 will officially open the curtain always a at the Port Village Marina d’Arechi on June 22 with the protagonists of the food and wine world: chefs and star chefs\, pizza makers\, fry shops\, sandwich shops\, master pastry chefs\, producers\, winemakers\, craft breweries and bartenders with a focus in particular on sustainability and gluten-free offerings. \nOnce again this year\, Buonissimi aims to support the Editor project. With funding from the OPEN OdV Association\, CEINGE the Institute of Advanced Biotechnology at the University of Naples Federico II\, will be able to carry out next-generation sequencing and genomic editing to identify genetic risk factors as therapeutic targets for the treatment of pediatric cancers.  \nAnna Maria Alfani\, president of OPEN OdV Association\, said: \n“Every year Buonissimi is a time of celebration that carries a strong message: to support research in order to offer children increasingly effective and personalized treatments. With the 2026 edition we will complete the Editor project\, after three years of investment and success in the medical field\, thanks to intense multidisciplinary collaboration throughout Italy.” \nAssociate Professor of Medical Genetics at the University Federico II of Naples and Principal Investigator of CEINGE the Institute of Advanced Biotechnology at the University of Naples Federico II\, Mario Capasso\, pointed out: \n“The accuracy of the data obtained in years of work\, thanks to collaboration with national and foreign research centers\, now allows us to better understand the mechanisms and genetic predisposition for the development of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. With Associate Professor of Medical Genetics at the University of Milano-Bicocca\, Giovanni Cazzaniga\, we have combined different professional skills with a single goal: that of collecting the largest number of samples-as many as 800-to be analyzed and studied for the purpose of identifying DNA mutations that are the likely object of disease development. We found that 12 percent of patients already had the presence of such mutations in their genomic make-up\, a result that opens new avenues in treatment and prevention.” \nAgostino Gallozzi\, president of Marina d’Arechi\, also renews support for the initiative: \n“We are happy to welcome Buonissimi once again to Marina d’ Arechi . We all need to dwell more on the themes of sociality.
