Rome – ViniAmo

May 4, 2025 @ 11:00 - May 5, 2025 @ 19:00

ViniAmo, now in its third edition, promises to be incredibly appetizing. Italian wines take center stage, but there is no shortage of unforgettable journeys to those lands that have made wine history and fame.

The appointment is for May 4 and 5, in the Capital. Two days full of discoveries and tastings, masterclasses and award ceremonies, intended for all those who love wine and gastronomic excellence.

Simple experts and enthusiasts, industry professionals and journalists, the curious, scholars or authentic gourmets, ViniAmo is the right event for everyone!

4 good reasons to participate in ViniAmo

There are 4 reasons not to miss this exciting event that aims to surpass the successes of previous editions.

  1. Open-mind tasting: this is not a kermis intended only for experts in the field, but an open opportunity to discover new wine gems from all the territories of Italy. You do not need to be a Sommelier to participate, even the most genuine curiosity and a gourmet spirit are enough.
  2. Wine and beyond: wine and more await you at ViniAmo. Pizza, desserts, oil, truffles: these are some of the gastronomic delights ready to enrich these two days of tasting.
  3. Masterclasses of excellence: an event that guides you to discovery, of Italian and French wines, with three experiences destined to thrill all lucky participants. Indeed, the extraordinary performer of this edition will be Armando Castagno, with two masterclasses dedicated to wines from Burgundy and the Loire both on Sunday. A journey of research that begins in France, on Sunday, and then returns to Italy, on Monday, to explore incredibly typical and tasty wines, with another Masterclass not to be missed, all dedicated to Barbera d’Asti DOCG and its potential, told by Gozzelino’s experience and signature wines: an unprecedented and delicious vertical.
  4. Companies and wines that are gems. With so many participants, unique wines and products to taste, from niche wineries in our peninsula, pleasantness deserves to be rewarded. That’s why on the second day, Monday 5, the best wineries and wines will be awarded the 4 Hearts of ViniAmo, celebrating the all-around love of wine and confirming the vocation of the event itself, dedicated to nectars that are a symbol of culture, flavor, pleasantness and authenticity, four values that have always animated ViniAmo.
ViniAmo program: two days of tasting tables, masterclasses and award ceremonies

If the program of the Third Edition of ViniAmo sounds juicy to you, here are summarized its highlights: 300 Italian labels (and a few excursions abroad), more than 75 stands including Wineries, Extra Wine & Food, Sponsors

Sunday, May 4, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

This is a great start to the event, with a day dedicated especially to wine lovers and, at the same time, open to all experts, journalists and industry professionals who cannot attend on Monday. Just on Sunday afternoon the two Masterclasses dedicated to Burgundy and Loire wines will take place, both led by Armando Castagno. Here they are in detail:

  • Masterclass Old Vineyards of Burgundy – Sunday 11:30 am-1:30 pm This is a seminar with many points of interest. First of all, the territory of Burgundy, one of the most celebrated in the world, whose roads and paths we will ideally travel, touching on six fascinating communes to analyze their history, stylistic trends and wine identity traits. The common denominator of the prestigious bottles chosen is their provenance from vineyards of venerable age. What special things do the “vieilles vignes”-often mentioned on the label-provide for the final wine? These and other questions will be answered in the morning face-to-face exposition and tasting of six Burgundy labels chosen by the speaker for their educational effectiveness as much as for their overflowing goodness.
  • Masterclass The Whites of the Loire – Sunday 4-6 pm:00 One thousand kilometers of route, more than half of which are in the midst of historic wine-growing areas, characterize the course of the Loire, the great French river around which one of the world’s largest and most beautiful valleys unfolds, among gardens, castles monuments, churches and abbeys, as well as farms and wineries, and in which white wine appellations of decisive global importance-from Sancerre to Pouilly-Fumé, from Vouvray to Savennières, to Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine-compose a compelling mosaic. The afternoon seminar with tasting will ideally traverse the Loire from the first vineyards of Pouilly to the estuary, illustrating as it goes, disciplinaries, trends, grape varieties, styles of expression and climatic and geological differences.

Monday, May 5, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The second day of ViniAmo is dedicated mainly to those working in the wine and food sector and the trade press but, given the openness and discovery vocation of the Kermesse, the doors will always remain open to all wine lovers who were unable to attend on Sunday.

  • Masterclass La Barbera d’Asti DOCG secondo Gozzelino – Monday 3pm-5pm Barbera from tradition to innovation, through 7 unique labels between verticals and new interpretations. A journey into the heart of Barbera d’Asti DOCG with a final surprise.
Awarding of the 4 Hearts of ViniAmo

On the afternoon of Monday 5, the awards ceremony for the wineries and wines participating in the kermis will also take place, with the awarding of the 4 Hearts of ViniAmo. The award will be given thanks to the votes of Sunday’s participants who will choose their winners in the following categories:

  • Best winery in northern Italy
  • Best wineries in central Italy
  • Best winery in southern Italy
  • Emerging Winery Award, to highlight small productions that promise true excellence in the future.
  • Lightning Strike Wine Award , to highlight “that” wine you didn’t expect and that caught your eye among the many labels at ViniAmo.
Location and Services of ViniAmo

As with the previous edition, ViniAmo takes place at the Hotel Cristoforo Colombo, in the Eur district of Rome, in a modern and functional setting, with a large conference hall set up with tasting tables and separate rooms equipped for holding Masterclasses. Event spaces also include an outdoor area with tables and umbrellas.

Making the experience of these two days of tasting even more enjoyable is the free shuttle service that will take participants from the Eur Fermi metro station to the hotel and ViniAmo.
