In Mezzolombardo, in the heart of the Piana Rotaliana, the historic De Vigili winery-founded at the end of the 19th century and reborn in 2015-interprets Teroldego and Chardonnay with personality, between territorial tradition and enological precision.
It was reborn in 2015 this winery in Mezzolombardo which had its origins dating back to the late 19th century. Founded by Ottavio De Vigili, it later saw other ownerships, starting in 1939. Finally, about ten years ago, Francis De Vigili was able to take over the farm and winery, adding an additional two hectares to the pre-existing vineyards. A identity recovery that combines historical memory and contemporary vision, bringing the De Vigili name back among the protagonists of Rotalian viticulture.
We are located in the Piana Rotaliana, north of Trento, in the municipality of Mezzolombardo: one of the most vocated terroirs in Trentino, characterized by alluvial soils rich in skeleton and strong temperature ranges, ideal conditions to enhance structure, fragrance and aromatic definition. Home of Teroldego, but also an important center for sparkling and Chardonnay-based white wines, finds in the De Vigili winery a careful and consistent interpreter.
The production philosophy favors precision, balance and legibility of the grape variety, with targeted vinifications ranging from steel to large barrels to barrique.
