VinNatur Genova
At the tasting tables 93 winemakers. During the two-day event masterclasses on wines and renowned chefs offering a wide range of natural wines in their establishments.
VinNatur Genova, the event organized by VinNatur – Natural Winegrowers Association, will be held on Sunday, January 21 and Monday, January 22, 2024 at the Magazzini del Cotone in the Old Port.
The event, which will feature more than 90 winemakers who are members of the association, will be enriched with three in-depth master classes on viticulture that performs minimal interventions in the vineyard and winery.
Tasting tables and masterclasses
The event’s tasting tables will welcome 93 natural wine producers from Austria, Spain, France and Hungary and from 18 Italian regions. A complete list of exhibitors is available on the Association’s website.

It will begin with oenologist Giacomo Buscioni, who on Sunday, Jan. 21, at 3:30 p.m., will lead a tasting of wines that have been suitably modified to raise awareness of the main organoleptic changes of microbiological origin and their most common characteristics.
On Monday, Jan. 22 at 11 a. m. Samuel Cogliati Gorlier, French-Italian author, publisher and independent popularizer and founder of Possibilia Editore, will lead the blind tasting Italy vs. France, aimed at identifying the distinctive stylistic or expressive traits of the way wine is understood in the world’s two leading wine-producing countries. This will be followed at 2 p.m., again curated by Gorlier. The Hidden Piedmont, focusing on the lesser-known grape varieties of the Langhe. In tasting selected labels from the winemakers Carussin, Crealto, La Morella, Rocca Rondinaria, Santuvario and Tère Rüse.

VinNatur Bistro
Also new for the 2024 edition will be VinNatur Bistrot, a food area located within the event and coordinated by Simone Vesuviano and Matteo Rebora, chefs of Acciughetta. For nearly 10 years, both the trattoria and the restaurant that bear this name have been renowned for offerings that reinterpret Ligurian seafood cuisine in contemporary and imaginative ways, drawing on the study of traditional techniques, ingredients and recipes, updated and refreshed. In this space, visitors can enjoy hot and cold small plates in the form of tapas.
The two days will be joined by other well-known faces from the Ligurian scene, chosen from among those who already appreciate natural wines and offer them in their establishments: on Sunday there will be Matteo Dimoro of the Ortica Restaurant and Israel Feller of Boccon Divino, on Monday Ivan Maniago of Impronta d’Acqua, Simone Circella of La Brinca and Matteo Losio of Trattoria Detta Del Bruxaboschi.
Rounding out the gastronomic offerings are the Lady Café roasting company, an artisan laboratory in the Parma region that selects the best qualities of coffee from small plantations and processes them using the direct flame roasting method, and the Valli Unite organic farming cooperative in Costa Vescovato (AL).
