Il Barolo e il Derthona vanno in scena a Milano: For the fourth year in a row, the Strada del Barolo e grandi vini di Langa and the Strada del Vino e dei Sapori dei Colli Tortonesi – Terre Derthona – return to Milan’s Palazzo Bovara on Thursday, March 13, 2025 with an exclusive event dedicated to wine lovers.

The event will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the prestigious Palazzo Bovara, one of the most iconic places in the city, the beating heart of neoclassical Milan. With its imposing facade and interiors rich in history, the palace represents a perfect blend of culture, elegance and tradition. Its architectural value and timeless charm make it the ideal setting to celebrate food and wine culture through the excellence of Piedmontese wine.
The east wing of the palace, with its spacious and refined spaces, will be transformed into a sensory journey that will guide participants to discover the finest wines of the Langhe and Colli Tortonesi.

The event

During the day, selected wine lovers and trade professionals will have the opportunity to taste dozens of labels of Barolo DOCG and Timorasso Derthona DOC, presented directly by the producers. It will be possible to discover a complete overview of crus and vintages. Paired with small tastings offered by agribusinesses associated with Strada del Barolo and Terre Derthona.

Another highlight of the event will be the tasting lounge, a unique opportunity to learn more about the most representative wines through the storytelling of the producers who will not only reveal the story behind their wines but also give them an exclusive tasting. Leading the salon will be Francesco Quarna, DJ and winemaker, known for his passion for viticulture and food and wine, as well as for his podcast Deejay Wine Club and the Summer Camp program on Radio Deejay.

Before the public opening, an in-depth Masterclass on Barolo DOCG and Timorasso Derthona DOC is scheduled. The Masterclass is reserved (by invitation only) for restaurateurs and trade operators, in collaboration with Confcommercio Milano and EPAM, led by Davide Buongiorno, WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Diplomate, WSET Certified Educator and judge at the Decanter World Wine Awards.

Program

• 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: In-depth masterclass on Barolo Docg and Timorasso Derthona Doc reserved for restaurateurs and industry professionals
• 3:00-4:30 p.m.: tasting reserved for operators, with stations by producers of Barolo Docg and producers of Timorasso Derthona Doc
• 5-9 p.m.: tasting open to the public, with stations by producers of Barolo Docg and producers of Timorasso Derthona Doc
• 7-8 p.m.: Tasting lounge led by DJ and winemaker Francesco Quarna
