Florence – Out of Taste at the Salt Theater

February 8

Out of Taste at Teatro del Sale: Marche returns to Florence with a splendid tribute to Rossini between music and flavors

A dinner show organized by LINFA in collaboration with journalist Leonardo Romanelli

On Sunday, Feb. 8, the Marche region will return for the second time at the Teatro del Sale in Florence as part of the “Fuori di Taste” calendar with a show dedicated to Rossini and a dinner tribute to local food and wine excellence.

Soprano Valentina Corradetti, pianist Massimiliano Caporale and baritone Giacomo Medici will take the stage to bring to life an exciting and entertaining performance in which technical rigor and interpretive quality will succeed not only in touching the audience’s heart but also in making them smile, thanks to an elegant and playful tribute to Rossini.

Also taking the stage will be journalist Leonardo Romanelli in a dialogue between the lyrical notes of Pastiche and the gastronomic suggestions of the talk “Le Marche and artisan savoir faire.”

Guests will be able to interact with a delegation composed of six entrepreneurs who will be present at Pastiche Rossiniano representing the Marche collective or-ganized by Linfa for the Marche Chamber of Commerce and Marche Region, as part of the 2025-2026 convention and funded by the Marche ERDF PR 2021-2027 Action 1.3.4 “Interventions to support internationalization processes.”

The dinner, organized by Teatro del Sale in collaboration with Linfa, will feature a sequence of courses inspired by Rossini’s most beloved dishes, made with raw materials from the Marche region, alongside a selection of traditional regional recipes.

The wines for tasting, including bubbles, whites and reds, will be a selection of labels from the Marche region curated by Leonardo Romanelli.

LINFA and the Salt Theater

The event organized by LINFA, Special Agency of the Marche Chamber of Commerce, promoter of 33 food and wine realities that will take part in the 18th edition of Taste, will be a tribute to the well-known Marche composer Gioacchino Rossini, an iconic figure not only in music but also in gastronomy, of which he was a great admirer and creative interpreter.

Thanks to LINFA and the collaboration with the Teatro del Sale, a magical and iconic space in Florence where stage and cuisine beat in unison, you will experience an engaging, exciting and even entertaining “Fuori di Taste” between opera, dialogues and flavors in which Rossini, a Marche native by birth and a foodie by vocation, lover of food and genius of musi-ca, will be the common thread.

The Spectacle “Rossini’s Bassoon”

The show will kick off with an entertaining musical and theatrical performance, where a soprano, baritone, pianist and actor, will guide the audience through an imaginary and surprising landscape.

Among the highlights of the evening, the duo “I Gatti di Rossini” will enchant with their performance, followed by the powerful voice of the baritone who will perform “Udite Udite O Rustici” by G. Doni-zetti. The soprano, on the other hand, will bring to life G. Verdi’s “Il Brindisi,” creating an atmosphere of festivity and celebration.

The script also includes literary forays with excerpts from Rossini, evoking profound reflections on the pleasure of food and the art of living. The performers will interact with a set table, making food the undisputed star of the show.

Between notes of “Opera Buffa” and Anacreon’s famous verses, the audience will be taken through a crescendo of emotions culminating in performances of great works such as W. A. Mozart’s “Fin Ch’han Dal Vino” and J. Offenbach’s “Ah! Quel Diner Je Viens De Faire.”

The evening’s magic will also be enhanced by a touch of mystery with “Magic Potions,” and a tribute to conviviality and gastronomy, masterfully narrated by actors and singers.
