Sorsi di Mare in Riccione: On Monday, March 9, at the Palazzo del Turismo, the Vini di Romagna Consortium presents its new format dedicated to the Riviera’s restaurants with 60 wineries from Romagna

The first edition of “Sorsi di Mare,” the new professional exhibition of PDO and PGI wines from Romagna, debuts in Riccione. Conceived by the Wines of Romagna Consortium, it is dedicated to maritime catering on the Riviera.

On Monday, March 9, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Palazzo del Turismo, more than 60 wineries from Romagna will present the new vintages of their best wines. A special focus will be on the territory’s great whites, ideal protagonists of the Riviera’s tables in the summer season.

The event is exclusively reserved for Ho.Re.Ca. professionals. (hotels, restaurants, wine shops, wine bars, caterers, distributors, and industry professionals). They will be able to meet producers directly at the tasting counters and taste first and foremost PDO and PGI white, mossi and rosé wines. This will be flanked by regional food islands of excellence with free tastings.

Program:

Alongside the exhibition-tasting hall, the day will be marked by in-depth moments. Events designed to offer concrete and immediately expendable tools in updating the wine list and gastronomic offerings:

  • 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.:Masterclass Summer in the glass: the wines of Romagna DOP and IGP perfect for the summer season, paired with territorial food excellencesIn opening, the dedicated to the main types of Romagna DOP and IGP wines with summer attitude. Led by Ilaria Di Nunzio, ALMA Master Professional Sommelier, she will introduce participants to the discovery of the new vintages, with pairings with territorial food excellences.
  • 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Opening exhibition-tasting salon with winemakers from the PDOs/PGIs of Romagna
  • 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Light Lunch offered to participants
  • 4:30pm – 5:15pm: Taste of Riviera: show cooking and pairing with PDO and PGI wines from Romagna. Led by chef Tomas Marfella will bring simplicity and quality of raw materials into dialogue, suggesting effective pairings with Romagna wines and offering practical insights for a coherent and contemporary identity proposal.
  • 6-7 p.m.: Exhibition-presentation of mise en place for dream lunches and dinners (Medri srl). An exhibition space dedicated to mise en place will offer tables set up, emphasizing how care for presentation also plays a strategic role in the dining experience and hospitality.

The event is organized by the Consorzio Vini di Romagna, with the support of the Municipality of Riccione, in collaboration with Federalberghi Riccione, FIPE Confcommercio Rimini, Agenzia PrimaPagina and AIS Romagna.
