Spumantitalia 2025 lands in Bologna amid tastings, masterclasses and wine culture An increasingly authoritative and participatory seventh edition

Anticipation is rising and effervescence is growing around the seventh edition of Spumantitalia, the National Festival dedicated to the best Italian bubbles, which this year will take place in the heart of Bologna May 9-11, as part of Bologna Wine Week and in collaboration with Ebrezze di Gian Marco Gabarello.

A winning combination, that between Spumantitalia and the city’s enocultural review, which has already led to significant results: among them, the prestigious patronage of theAssoenologi National Association and theNational Academy of Vine and Wine, authoritative entities that recognize the cultural and scientific value of the event.

The Festival will officially kick off on Friday, May 9, with a day entirely dedicated to discussion and reflection. At the Palazzo della Borsa, Talk Shows will take place featuring leading figures from the academic, production and communication worlds. Central themes for the future of Italian wine will be addressed, between challenges and opportunities: wine tourism, education, marketing, sustainability and intergenerational dialogue.

At the conclusion of the day, the prestigious Bubble’s Magazine will celebrate Italian sparkling wine excellence with the presentation of the Certificates to the Ambassadors of Italian Brindisi: an award to companies that have been able to innovate, tell and enhance the Italian bubbly sector with vision.

The highlight of the event will be between Saturday, May 10, and Sunday, May 11, at Palazzo Re Enzo, open to the public from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Visitors will be able to taste a selection of Italian and international sparkling wines and participate in thematic masterclasses
