Dolcetto Summer Fest

Staging the third edition of “Dolcetto Summer Fest,” a festival with music and tasty food and wine pairings to celebrate one of Piedmont’s most representative grape varieties.

Dolcetto Summer Fest is the largest tasting booth dedicated to Dolcetto in its different denominations and peculiarities.

Saturday, June 7, 2025 is scheduled for the third edition of the “Dolcetto Summer Fest,” a large tasting event that will bring more than 30 Dolcetto producers from different areas of Piedmont, street food, DJ sets and much more to the historic center of Rodello to celebrate one of Piedmont’s most representative grape varieties and discover the charm and authenticity of a wonderful and still unspoiled Langa village.

Dolcetto is a versatile wine that has many identities. In fact, there are as many as 12 denomination of origin wines produced from this grape variety, which adapts well to different foods. That’s why the event’s program includes, in addition to the presence of Dolcetto producers, food stands, where it will be possible to taste local products, experimenting with delicious wine&food pairings in a festive and convivial atmosphere, accompanied by music and enjoying the panorama and the pleasant evening breeze that refreshes the village of Rodello in summer.

The day’s program

The program includes a Round Table on Dolcetto in the morning. Prof. Luigi Bertini will moderate the event, with interventions by authoritative speakers. These include Prof. Vincenzo Gerbi, Prof. Andrea Tote of the Milan Polytechnic, Alberto Marchisio, Cavis 1898 General Manager, Sergio Germano, President of the Consorzio di Tutela Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe e Dogliani, Barbara Pagnutti, Marketing and Communication Director of Tonutti Grafiche SPA in Udine, and other experts in the field.

At 5 p.m. the tasting dedicated to wine lovers will kick off, who will be able to access the event by purchasing a wine tasting pass in advance or on site, which will allow them to freely taste all the wines present: with its more than 100 labels, the “Strada del Dolcetto” is the largest tasting desk dedicated to Dolcetto in its different denominations and peculiarities, narrated by producers, consortia and associations from the main areas devoted to this important grape variety. Visitors can build their own itinerary by thematic areas to deepen their knowledge of the wine, territories and producers.

To enrich the offerings, starting at 6 p.m., food stands and food trucks located in the historic center, where you can experience delicious combinations in a festive and convivial atmosphere.

The following day, Sunday, June 8, 2025, a Gala Luncheon will be held at the Spianamento di San Sebastiano in Diano d’Alba (CN). Dolcetto wines that participated in the event will be tasted. Among them, the best three Dolcetto 2023 wines tasted by the jury of experts during a Blind Tasting will be recognized.
