1,000 wine producers in attendance, some 5,000 labels on the tasting table, Masterclasses and lectures… At Slow Wine Fair, wine is good, clean and fair.

From February 23-25, 2025, BolognaFiere will host the fourth edition of the Slow Wine Fair, an event organized by Slow Food and BolognaFiere. This event brings together wine producers, wine enthusiasts and industry professionals from around the world to celebrate and discuss sustainable wine production.

The Slow Wine Fair

The Slow Wine Fair is more than just a tasting. It is a platform for innovation and collaboration in the wine industry, aiming to foster global connections and promote the exchange of ideas and practices in the wine industry. With more than 1,000 producers and about 5,000 labels for tasting, participants can explore a wide range of wines from Italian and international producers. The fair also includes master classes, lectures and workshops that explore various aspects of wine production, from soil health to packaging and logistics. One of the key themes of Slow Wine Fair 2025 is sustainability. Indeed, the event aims to highlight the environmental impact of wine production and promote practices that reduce the industry’s carbon footprint. This includes discussions on sustainable packaging, energy efficient practices and waste reduction. The fair also emphasizes the importance of biodiversity and social equity in wine production, ensuring that the wines presented are delicious, but also ethically produced.

Slow Wine Fair 2025: the confirmations

  • the wines: about 1,000 exhibiting wineries from Italy and abroad distributed in exhibition islands according to the country and Italian region they belong to. Winemakers attending the Slow Wine Fair are united by the decalogue of the Manifesto for Good, Clean and Fair Wine. They are committed to preserving the environment and its resources, respecting the landscape and terroir where the wine comes from, valuing the farming community of which it is an expression, and supporting biodiversity.
  • bitters and spirits: the area dedicated to spirits is designed to involve the world of mixology and will be divided into thematic sections, including one dedicated to bitters, which revolves around the fifth edition of the Italian Bitter Fair, organized in collaboration with Amaroteca and ANADI – National Association of Italian Bitters.
  • supply chain partners. In the idea of virtuous circular production, the supply chain sector plays a key role, supporting producers’ efforts to reduce their environmental impact. An exhibition area of the Slow Wine Fair is reserved for companies in the wine supply chain that, through innovative machinery, equipment and technologies, help renew the agricultural system and enable winemakers to adopt sustainable and environmentally friendly production methods.
  • the Terroir and Slow Spirit Wine List Award. The Award – awarded by the public and a jury of experts-values the best Italian and international wine lists and returns in 2025 with new territorial categories and a new section dedicated to the world of bitters.
  • Masterclasses, Lectures and Off Events return.

Slow Wine Fair 2025: what’s new

  • coffees: for the first time, a space dedicated to the Slow Food Coffee Coalition and the world of coffee lands at Slow Wine Fair. Presiding over it and introducing you to this world are coffee growers, roasters and experts who provide valuable information on the main tools for approaching tasting in a conscious way, to recognize, appreciate and learn how to choose a quality coffee.
  • ciders: Cider, made from the fermentation of pressed apple juice, has an ancient and fascinating history and deep roots in European cultures, where it has long been popular. Slow Wine Fair is the context in which to question what role cider is currently gaining in Italy and on the world stage, and to taste numerous products.
