Spring Festival – Food and Culture in Franciacorta

Spring Festival returns to Franciacorta: On March 8 and 9, Franciacorta will host the second edition of the Spring Festival, a weekend dedicated to the meeting of culture, food and wine and tradition.
The Spring Festival will offer a rich program of experiences, including off-menu dishes made with PGI Sicilian Red Orange, accompanied tours by the FAI Group of Sebino and Franciacorta to the area’s historic sites, cultural tours by the Mu.Di. – Museo diffuso della Franciacorta, cultural events, winery visits and sensory tastings conducted by Sommeliers.
A unique opportunity to discover the area through authentic flavors, fascinating stories and picturesque landscapes. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Festival!
Here are all the scheduled proposals:
Off-menu dishes made with Sicilian Red Orange PGI (March 3 to 9)
Chefs from the area will create a new gastronomic experience, experimenting with the encounter between local tradition and a Sicilian excellence: the IGP Red Orange of Sicily.
A journey through surprising flavors, where creativity and territory come together in unique off-menu dishes.

Guided tours in collaboration with the FAI Group of Sebino and Franciacorta (March 8 and 9)
On the occasion of the Spring Festival, the FAI Group of Sebino and Franciacorta will organize escorted tours of the historical and cultural sites of Franciacorta.

During the Spring Festival, wineries will open their doors to the public, organizing events celebrating the culture, gastronomy of the area and Franciacorta.

Sensory Tastings at the Franciacorta Consortium (March 8 and 9)
It will be possible to discover the world of Franciacorta through a unique sensory adventure! Under the expert guidance of AIS Sommelier Nicola Bonera, you will be able to learn to recognize the typical olfactory notes of Franciacorta, immersing yourself in an unforgettable sensory experience with the tasting of three types. Presentations of Armando Castagno’s book “Viaggio Franciacorta – A Diary” (March 8 and 9)
Author and journalist Armando Castagno will be in Franciacorta to talk about the experience that took him through Franciacorta. The two book presentations will be followed by a toast with Franciacorta.
