If you want to know more about this column, which today tells in video about the Moscato d’Asti Vigna Vecchia 2019 Cadgal, here is all the information: Tasted for You by DoctorWine – DoctorWine. A few weeks ago the “second season” started.

Here you will find a shorter, social media version (we posted it on our Facebook page, Instagram, X and LinkedIn) not a cut of the previous video, but a new video.

The Cadgal Company

For decades the winery has been producing the absolute best Moscato d’Asti, great wines, Italian to the core, as long-lived as a great red, from historic vineyards in Santo Stefano Belbo.
In 2023 Alessandro Varagnolo bought the company from previous owner Alessandro Boido, a true Moscato “wizard.” The idea is to continue along the path that led CadGal to redefine the identity of Moscato d’Asti, carving out an even more precise positioning for each of the historic products and also launching an Asti, enthusiastically welcomed by foreign markets.

The new owner was a dream hunter as a child, and as an adult he has fulfilled not only his own, but also those of his family. His passion for the world of wine grew through his career in the events industry, where he formed strong friendships with restaurateurs and winemakers in the Langhe and Monferrato regions.

The turning point in Alessandro Varagnolo’s life came with the passing of his grandfather, a father figure who kindled his connection to his roots. He vividly recalled a family celebration in which his grandfather had offered him a glass of Moscato, urging him to remember the flavor of his heritage. Over the years, Alessandro’s visits to the Langhe and Monferrato became more frequent, and his passion for wine grew despite a promising international career.

Having become a sommelier and Langhe Wine Ambassador through courses at the Barolo & Barbaresco Academy, Alessandro was inspired by local producers to realize his dream of starting a wine and hospitality business with his family.

For Alexander, wine is about telling stories, memories and emotions.
