Farewell to Daniela Coser, silent heart of Ronco dei Tassi

Daniela Coser titolare Ronco dei Tassi

Founder of Ronco dei Tassi together with her husband Fabio, Daniela Coser has been a central and discreet figure in Friulian winemaking. Entrepreneurial vision, sense of family and deep love for the land guided a project that became a reference in Collio. With her passing, Friulian wine loses an authentic soul.

There are people who build companies, and others who build styles, ways of being in the world and making wine.
Daniela Coser undoubtedly belonged to this second category.

Passed away at the age of 67

Founder together with her husband Fabio of Ronco dei Tassi in Cormòns, who passed away at the age of 67 after a long illness, Daniela was the silent heart of one of the most solid and recognizable realities in the Collio area of Gorizia. A constant presence, never exhibited, capable of holding together vision and concreteness, business and family, work and deep respect for the land.

Since the winery’s inception in 1989, Daniela has represented much more than a co-founder. She has been the organizational mind, the balance in difficult moments, the quiet strength that has accompanied step by step the growth of a family project that has become over the years a reference point for Friulian enology. Without proclamations, without protagonism, but with a daily dedication that has left a deep mark.

Ronco dei Tassi

Ronco dei Tassi has always told a story of family before wine, and this is perhaps Daniela Coser’s most authentic legacy. A winery where harmony among people is an integral part of the final quality, and where the generational transition to sons Matteo and Enrico occurred naturally, almost inevitably, because it was strongly desired and accompanied with discretion and intelligence.

Fabio and Daniela Coser owners Ronco dei TassiAlongside her entrepreneurial role, Daniela embodied that of a mother, transmitting essential values. Respect for nature, love for agricultural work, and responsibility for the land. It is no coincidence that plants and animals were part of her daily world, a living presence even at Ronco dei Tassi, a reminder that wine is always born from a fragile and precious balance.

“If we as a family have built all this, the union of the family and the company, the main credit by far goes to my wife Daniela,”. Fabio Coser recalls movingly. Without her, without both material and moral support. I don’t think I would have been able to achieve these goals. She always supported me in difficult times; she was my strength. She transmitted to me the drive to keep going and was instrumental in designing the steps that made us grow and in finding solutions to every problem.” Words that restore the sense of leadership that was never stated but deeply recognized.

Daniela Coser leaves behind appreciated wines, certainly, but above all she leaves behind a style.  A way of being winemakers and entrepreneurs that will live on in the winery and in the people who knew her. A silent legacy, like her, but one that is destined to last.
