Monforte d’Alba – The Great Terroirs of Barolo 2026

The Great Terroirs of Barolo 2026: In Monforte d’Alba, an entire weekend of tastings signed Go Wine dedicated to Barolo
I Grandi Terroir del Barolo, the initiative conceived by Go Wine and now in its seventeenth edition, is back, scheduled for Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29, 2026 in Monforte d’Alba, one of the most important centers of the Barolo Langa.
Venue for the event will once again be the elegant halls of Palazzo Martinengo – Moda Venue (Via Cavour, 10), in the town’s historic center.
The event confirms and strengthens its distinctive character: an opportunity for in-depth study of Barolo and its terroir, with the Additional Geographical Mentions (A.G.M.) at the center, to tell – through tasting – the different souls of the appellation.
An itinerary that enhances wineries that produce Barolo in multiple labels, expressions of different crus, sites and parts of the territory, exalting the soul and peculiarities of Nebbiolo and interpreting diversity as a richness that invites a deeper understanding of the greatness of this wine.
A focused event between tasting and territory
The 2026 edition will serve as a kind of preview of the new vintage in the territory, maintaining a proven formula that has seen growing participation and interest in recent editions.
A focused and, in its own way, exclusive event that will:
- Communicate the peculiarities of different cru
- Make tasters and audiences think about the importance of the land-territory factor
- Valuing direct encounters with producers
- invite experts and wine enthusiasts to experience a weekend in Langa, including tastings, winery visits and discovering the area.
The Consorzio Vino Nobile di Montepulciano special guest at the event
The Consorzio del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano will be the special guest of I Grandi Terroir del Barolo, with an in-depth look at the recently established Pievi project.
The historical study of the geology and geography of the area has led to the identification of 12 zones, defined in the product specification as UGA(Additional Geographical Units), the same prefixed on the label with the mention “Pieve.”
A theme that will naturally dialogue with the Additional Geographical Mentions of Barolo: in Montepulciano, too, the narrative of wine passes through an increasingly precise reading of the different identities of the territory.
A selection of representative wines from the different Pievi will be offered during the event, offering the public an interesting comparison between two great Italian appellations united by the desire to focus on the territory as a distinctive element.
