Vinitaly’s first official Fuorisalone

Vinitaly 2026 marks a historic step: for the first time, the official Vinitaly Fuorisalone is born, hosted in Verona’s evocative Gallerie Mercatali, one of the city’s most iconic and scenic spaces, with events scheduled for April 11, 12 and 14. On Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 7 p.m., on the opening night of Vinitaly, the Consorzio Tutela Vino Custoza DOC will be featured with “Wonders Of White. Custoza Dinner Night,” bringing the denomination to the center of an event with high visibility and strong relational value. A format that takes up a thread that the Consortium has been pursuing for years: the dialogue between wine and music, as a language of conviviality and relationship.

“For us, it is a source of great pride to bring Custoza DOC to such a prestigious setting: a high-profile opportunity that we strongly wanted to give Custoza a visibility that matches this moment, in the heart of the week in which Verona becomes the center of Italian wine and beyond,” says Roberta Bricolo, president of the Consortium. “We are thrilled to inaugurate this new platform and to do so with an evening entirely dedicated to our wines. During the event on Sunday, April 12, 2026, the Mercatali Galleries will be dressed entirely in the colors of Custoza, transforming for one night into a space dedicated to the appellation. In this setting, Consortium companies will have the opportunity to welcome and directly engage their guests and importers, enhancing key relationships within an exclusive and highly visible context.

The opening will feature an aperitif entirely dedicated to Custoza DOC, designed to introduce guests to the style and identity of the appellation. This will be followed by a high-profile dinner, built to enhance the pairings, and will accompany the tale of Custoza in a contemporary key. The selection will include vintage Custoza, Custoza Superiore and Riserva.

The evening will be accompanied by the musical performance of Alessandro Ristori and The Portofinos during the dinner experience. At the end of the dinner, the Mercatali Galleries will open to the city.
