DoctorWine’s 15th Anniversary: DoctorWine celebrates 15 years on May 9, 2026 in Rome with a grand tasting of Three Star producers and top Italian wineries.
On May 9, 2026, Rome hosts a special event for the wine world: the celebration of 15 years of DoctorWine, a landmark for wine enthusiasts and professionals.
An important anniversary that turns into a day of tastings, meetings and insights dedicated to the best of Italian wine production, to tell through the companies featured in our Essential Guide the best of national production.
In fact, the protagonists of the event will be the Three Star DoctorWine producers, representing some of the most authoritative realities of the national wine scene. A selection that tells of the richness and variety of Italian wine, from the great historical appellations to the most contemporary interpretations.

Masterclasses:
3:30 p.m.: Masciarelli and 35 years of Trebbiano d’Abruzzo Riserva Marina Cvetic.
A vertical of 8 vintages of the historic Trebbiano d’Abruzzo Riserva Marina Cvetic Masciarelli, which represents one of the highest expressions of Abruzzo Trebbiano and one of Italy’s greatest white wines.
The now famous Marina Cvetic line takes us to the heart of the Masciarelli story. Born from the private and professional bond between Gianni Masciarelli, who died prematurely in 2008, and Marina. Marina Cvetic wines were born in 1991 as a love dedication from Gianni to his wife and her territory.
The vintages that will be presented during the masterclass led by Daniele Cernilli are 2000, 2005, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2023 and the 2024 preview.

5:30pm: St. Leonard’s, the red wine of the year and its declinations in 5 vintages
The famous Bordeaux cut of the Tenuta San Leonardo is the Red Wine of the Year 2026 in the Essential Guide to the Wines of Italy. That’s why we wanted this masterclass, conducted by Daniele Cernilli, for DoctorWine’s 15-year celebration.
Vigneti delle Dolomiti San Leonardo is a wine that we awarded not only for its intrinsic quality, but its ability to evoke territory, balance and longevity.
We would also like to mention that in 2014, when we presented our first edition of the 2015 Essential Guide to the Wines of Italy, San Leonardo was the wine featured in the guided tasting in Montecatini Terme. A tribute to those who believed in DoctorWine from the very first moment.
The vintages in the tasting are 2000, 2008, 2011, 2016 and the legendary 2020.
