Genova Wine Festival 2026

The Genoa Wine Festival is back: the story of Italian (and Ligurian) wine comes to Villa Bombrini on Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, 2026, for the event’s fourth edition.

The countdown has begun: the Genoa Wine Festival is back. Fifty selected wineries from all over Italy (and beyond), street food, talks, workshops, and guided tours. The GWF OFF events throughout the city center are also back.

On Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, Villa Bombrini in Genoa Cornigliano will open its doors to the highly anticipated fourth edition of the event—now a must-attend for wine lovers and the city alike—featuring 50 wineries from all over Italy (and beyond).

The event, organizedby APS Papille Clandestine, maintains its signature format: an informal, convivial atmosphere based on direct interaction between the public and the producers. It’s a unique opportunity to meet winemakers, discover stories about vineyards and local specialties, and purchase your favorite bottles directly on site.

The goal of the event is to introduce a broad audience to mindful consumption of quality products, including through workshops and tastings. It also aims to convey the producers’ passion in an accessible and authentic way.

The Festival’s Wineries

At the heart of the GWF will be a selection—chosen without ideological bias—of wineries that have distinguished themselves for their quality, direct production, commitment to the local territory, small scale, or family-run operations. Selected directly by the organizers, these wineries showcase the wines that are drunk (and have historically been drunk) in Genoa and Liguria.

The Festival Program

• Saturday, October 10, from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Sunday, October 11, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

There will be ten in-depth wine tastings and eight “Wines on the Terrace” sessions—informal 15-minute gatherings to get to know a producer through one of their wines. There will also be guided tours of Villa Bombrini, the finest example of 18th-century aristocratic architecture in the Genoa area, and creative workshops for children ages 4 to 11, making this a family-friendly event.

Villa Bombrini

Villa Bombrini, located in the Cornigliano neighborhood of Genoa, is the finest example of 18th-century aristocratic architecture in the Genoa area. Built in 1752 by Pierre Paul De Cotte for the Marquis of Durazzo, it has passed through the hands of various owners over the centuries, including the House of Savoy, and eventually became the headquarters of Italsider.

Restored to its former glory following a meticulous renovation, and surrounded by a beautiful garden and a courtyard of honor, it is now a cultural center that hosts events, exhibitions, and initiatives. It is also the headquarters of the Genoa Liguria Film Commission.

GWF Off: The Festival Spread Throughout the City

Leading up to and accompanying the main event will be the packed schedule of GWF OFF: a series of events ranging from themed dinners to guided tastings at venues throughout Genoa and its province, offering the chance to chat about wine directly with the visiting winemakers on the evenings of Thursday, October 8, and Friday, October 9.
