Petacciato – “Foglia d’Oro” Contemporary Art Award

The “Foglia d’Oro” Contemporary Art Award is launched in Petacciato: on September 26 at Colle degli Ulivi, an exhibition dedicated to the dialogue between contemporary art, the landscape, and the Molise region

Contemporary art, landscape, and regional identity come together in the“Foglia d’Oro”Contemporary Art Award, promoted by Molisìr—a brandof the Colle degli Ulivi Farm—and curated by Vittoria Baratta and Michele Porsia. The initiative is organized under the patronage of the Municipality of Petacciato and the Regional Council of Molise, in collaboration with the SettimoPiano_ALIA Cultural Association and the Hera Foundation.

The final day of the Award will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Colle degli Ulivi in Petacciato (CB).From 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. , visitors will be able to view the exhibition of works by the participating artists. The awards ceremony, during which the 2026 Foglia d’Oro will be presented, is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

The Foglia d’Oro Award was created with the aim of promoting and supporting contemporary artistic research. It invites artists to engage with themes related to the local area, the landscape, nature, and rural culture. This project views Molise not merely as a venue for art, but as a source of inspiration capable of fostering new forms of artistic exploration and interpretation.

The curatorial team led by Vittoria Baratta and Michele Porsia aims to foster a dialogue between various expressions of contemporary art and the cultural and landscape heritage of Molise. It seeks to extend the artistic experience beyond traditional exhibition spaces. In fact, the choice of Colle degli Ulivi as the venue for the event is no coincidence: a location nestled in the rural landscape of Petacciato that, for the occasion, will become an exhibition space and a meeting place for artists, curators, institutions, cultural professionals, and the public.

The exhibition and the ceremony on September 26 mark the culmination of a project that aims to contribute to the promotion of contemporary art in Molise and, at the the same time, offer a new perspective on the region through culture.
