Giarre – Vinacria 2026

Vinacria Wine Fest: November 15–16 at Radicepura, featuring tastings, master classes, and professional networking events
Sicilian Wine Looks Beyond the Island
On Sunday, November 15, and Monday, November 16, 2026, the Vinacria Wine Fest returns—an event dedicated to Sicilian wine that also looks toward international markets and productions. The event takes place at Radicepura in Giarre, in the province of Catania, and brings together wineries, olive oil and spirits producers, distributors, industry professionals, and enthusiasts.
In addition to Sicilian wines, the selection includes wines from other parts of the world, with the aim of fostering a comparison between regions, production styles, and different perspectives on wine. The tasting counters are complemented by guided tastings, talks, and in-depth discussions.
Tastings and Events in the 2026 Program
Sunday, November 15, is dedicated to wine enthusiasts, with an admission fee. The tasting booths are scheduled to open at 10:30 a.m., following the opening ceremony. Throughout the day, events from the “Convivium—Encounters, Tastings, Connections” series will take place, focusing on various themes and wine regions.
Among the announced events are an in-depth exploration of Tasca d’Almerita wines, featuring Rosso del Conte and Nozze d’Oro through the ages, a comparison between Etna and Cilento through the great white wines of Southern Italy, a tasting organized by Beviamoci Sud Roma, and an event dedicated to Champagne, led by Manlio Giustiniani. The tasting stations are scheduled to close at 7 p.m.
The program kicks off on Saturday, November 14, with a preview at Castello San Marco – Charming Resort & Spa in Calatabiano: At 6:30 p.m., there will be a screening of the documentary film *Moto Perpetuo*, dedicated to the life and vision of Marco De Bartoli, followed by a tasting of Vecchio Samperi. Admission is free, subject to registration and while seats last.
Monday, November 16, is reserved for industry professionals, with free admission upon registration. The program includes a tasting of Etna’s heritage grape varieties, organized in collaboration with the Etna DOC Consortium, the University of Catania, and IRVO, as well as a session dedicated to the relationship between wine, the local territory, and new traveler behaviors.
