Merano WineFestival 2026: From November 6th to 10th, the Kurhaus returns to an event dedicated to the excellence of Italian and international wine and food and wine

From November 6 to 10, 2026, the Kurhaus in Merano will host the 35th edition of the Merano WineFestival, an event that brings together Italian and international producers, industry professionals, the press, and enthusiasts through tastings, masterclasses, meetings, and moments dedicated to gastronomy.

The program extends over five days and includes various thematic sections, from organic and biodynamic wine to Italian and international productions, to champagne, spirits, and gastronomy. The festival is organized by Gourmet’s International Srl and was founded under the direction of Helmuth Köcher, The WineHunter.

TasteTerroir – bio&dynamica

The opening on Friday, November 6th is entrusted to TasteTerroir – bio&dynamica, a section dedicated to organic, biodynamic, natural wines and other expressions of sustainability-oriented viticulture.

From 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, at the Kurhaus and its connected spaces, the route also includes amphora wines, non- and low-alcohol products, and PIWI, as well as food, spirits, beer, consortia, and show cooking. The same day will also host the Riesling Days, with over 60 Italian Rieslings for tasting and the final awards ceremony.

The Festival

The heart of the event will be The Festival, scheduled for November 7th to 9th at the Kurhaus. The tasting process is divided into three areas: Wine Italia, dedicated to Italian wineries; Wine International, dedicated to international producers; and WineHunter Area, which brings together the companies selected by The WineHunter tasting commissions.

Alongside wine, Culinaria offers a selection of products and realities from the world of food, spirits and beer. The program also includes the Heroic Viticulture section, dedicated to the wines of the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes, and several events at the Fuori Salone.

Masterclasses and insights

From November 6th to 9th, the WineHunter Charity Masterclasses will take place, tastings led by producers, oenologists, and speakers dedicated to territories, grape varieties, and production philosophies. The calendar is updated progressively on the official website and the masterclasses can be purchased separately from the festival ticket.

The day dedicated to Champagne

The festival will close on Tuesday, November 10th, with Catwalk Champagne & amp; more, from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. The event expands the route dedicated to bubbles and Champagne, with a specific day included in the Merano WineFestival calendar.
