The highly anticipated appointment with Sicilia en Primeur, the annual event dedicated to high-end Sicilian wines, now in its XXII edition in 2025, is back. An unmissable event for wine lovers, wine professionals, journalists and international buyers, who each year choose to discover a preview of new vintages of the island’s best labels.

Event designed and organized by Assovini Sicily since 2004, an annual traveling event where tastings, tours, masterclasses and conferences alternate, featuring Assovini Sicilia producers and members along with the national and international press. The focus of the meetings is Sicilian wine production, tastings and vintage considerations.

Sicilia en Primeur will be held May 6-11, 2025 in one of the most picturesque places on the island-Modica.

ncasted among the Iblei hills in southeastern Sicily, it is a Baroque city of extraordinary beauty, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Known as the “City of a Hundred Churches,” Modica fascinates visitors with its scenic stairways, winding alleys and the gilded facades of its historic buildings.

Sicilia en Primeur is more than just a tasting. It is an experiential journey through vineyards, culture and traditions, where wine becomes a storytelling tool of an island that surprises with every sip.

During the event, participants can immerse themselves in a rich program that alternates technical tastings, winery visits, vineyard tours and cultural moments to discover the excellence of the territory. The heart of the event will be the official presentation of the new vintages, with a collective tasting featuring more than 50 member wineries, an expression of Sicily’s extraordinary wine biodiversity.

In addition to previews, there will be thematic masterclasses with internationally renowned oenologists and wine experts. Also, B2B meetings between producers and operators, and in-depth moments on sustainability, innovation and wine tourism.

How to participate. The event is open by invitation for industry professionals. Some days, however, will also be open to the general public of wine enthusiasts, subject to registration on the official website www.assovinisicilia.it. Places are limited, so advance reservations are recommended.
