Umbria Wine 2026:From September 11 to 13, 2026, the historic center of Perugia will once again host Umbria Wine, the Umbrian Wine Festival now in its fourth year.

The Event

The event was created with the goal of bringing the richness of the region’s wine heritage to the heart of the city, providing an opportunity for producers, enthusiasts, visitors, and the local community to come together.

The heart of the festival is the 50 Umbrian wineries located throughout the various areas of the event.

The tastings take place in some of the most picturesque squares in Perugia’s historic center: Piazza Italia, Giardini Carducci, Piazza della Repubblica, and Piazza Matteotti. Fifty Umbrian wineries are expected to participate in 2026 .

The tastings are complemented by a culinary offering provided by food trucks featuring products made exclusively in Umbria, creating a pairing experience that brings together wines and local specialties.

However, Umbria Wine is not just an event dedicated to wine. The festival combines tastings with music, conferences, podcasts, and entertainment, transforming the historic center of Perugia into a journey through Umbrian food and wine culture and production.

The music lineup features live sessions every day starting at 5:00 p.m., while DJ sets are scheduled for the evening.

The big news for 2026: Umbria Wine Meets French Wines

The 2026 edition introduces an international dimension for the first time with the “UmbriaWine Meets French Wines” project .

Alongside a selection of Umbrian wines, visitors will be offered a selection of French wines chosen by the organizers, available at dedicated tasting stations located in the Giardini Carducci area.

The booths will be open for the entire duration of the festival, from September 11 to 13, and visitors can sample French wines using the tokens included in the UmbriaWine Kit.

This new feature marks a significant evolution for the event, which in 2026 will expand its international reach by bringing Umbrian wine heritage into dialogue with some expressions of French wine culture.
