Salerno – A Sea of Leaves 2025

A Sea of Leaves 2025: On Jan. 18 and 19, 2025, the extraordinary Zaha Hadid-designed Salerno Maritime Station will become the hub of sustainable Italian oenology by hosting A Sea of Leaves, a presentation event for the 6th edition of the Bio Guide.

At Un Mare di Foglie 2025 on January 18 and 19 the presentation of the 6th edition of Guida Bio, edited by Antonio Stanzione and published by Rubbettino. Guida Bio is the only national guide dedicated exclusively to wines from organic farming (certified and/or in conversion) and was created with the intention of enhancing the green and eco-sustainable choices of the wine world and other sectors of agricultural production.

Organic farming is a difficult challenge, but it is also a path of responsibility in producing the good and safeguarding the opportunities of future generations, environmental sustainability and processing. Today more and more producers are involved in this world, driven by environmental, social and consumer protection motivations. The latter then is an increasingly attentive actor to the origin of raw materials, the certification of their origin and the quality of their processing procedures. Organic therefore is a choice of awareness, ethics, foresight, respect and quality.

The event:

The initiative offers a mix of tastings, meetings and insights, with a focus on sustainability and quality issues. Visitors will be able to taste the award-winning wines in the guide, talking directly with the producers. It will be a time to get up close and personal with the stories and challenges that characterize the world of organic wine. The morning of Sunday 19 will be dedicated to the official presentation of the Organic Guide and the presentation of the prestigious Foglie d’Oro, an award reserved for wines that stand out for quality and typicality. In the afternoon, the tasting counters will reopen from 4 p.m. to continue exploring the excellent wines present. The event will offer a journey through more than 2,500 reviewed labels. It will be a journey through different territories and producers who work to combine environmental protection and quality of the final product.

Sunday, Jan. 19:

• morning Bio Guide presentation and presentation of the prestigious Golden Leaves
• 4 p.m. – 11 p.m. tasting of award-winning wines in the guide
