Taste High Piedmont 2025

Taste Alto Piemonte 2025: Great wines star in Lake Maggiore
Coming up is the eighth edition of Taste Alto Piemonte, the most important event dedicated to the wines of Alto Piemonte, organized by the Consorzio Tutela Nebbioli Alto Piemonte.
Taste Alto Piemonte 2025 returns with an elegant new edition on Lake Maggiore. The Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées in Stresa will host the event on Nov. 9 and 10, 2025, as a point of excellence for showcasing the area’s wines.
For two days, more than 50 producers will present the new vintages of the 10 protected appellations of the Alto Piemonte region-from Gattinara and Ghemme to Lessona, Boca, Bramaterra, Valli Ossolane, and others-through tasting tables and masterclasses led by AIS Piemonte.
In addition to the tastings, the masterclass will offer insights into the designations, while a temporary wine shop will make it possible to purchase the labels presented. A dedicated press room and spaces for producers will complete the experience.
The 2025 edition represents a strategic leap for Taste Alto Piemonte. Bringing the event to the shores of Lake Maggiore is a strong message to a national and international audience, and opens a dialogue with neighboring countries such as Switzerland. Andrea Fontana, President of the Consortium, stresses the relevance in promoting Alto Piemonte appellations beyond Italian borders. At the same time, Vice President Lorella Zoppis calls this choice a form of openness to a wider audience, reiterating that Taste is not only tasting, but an experience of discovery and encounter.
The terroir of Alto Piemonte -with volcanic soils, distinctive microclimates and a geographical location that unites the Alps and the lake-will be at the center of the wine tale. Native grape varieties such as Nebbiolo, Vespolina, Croatina and Uva Rara showcase the elegance and identity of the terroir, confirming Alto Piemonte as one of Piedmont’s most fascinating wine areas.
