Valtènesi – Scents of Must 2026

October 4

Profumi di Mosto 2026: On October 4, 24 wineries in Valtènesi will open their doors to the public, offering tastings, local products, and tours through the hills of Lake Garda

A Day in the Valtènesi Wineries

On Sunday, October 4, 2026, “Profumi di Mosto” returns for its 25th edition, featuring a day dedicated to discovering the wines and the Valtènesi region through direct encounters with the producers.

For the event, there will be 24 participating wineries, spread across the towns in the hills and along the Brescia shore of Lake Garda. Visitors can create their own itinerary by choosing one or more wineries or by joining one of the nine three-stop tours offered by the organizers.

The event takes place in the area between Desenzano del Garda and San Felice del Benaco, and also includes the inland municipalities of Calvagese della Riviera, Bedizzole, and Puegnago sul Garda, as well as the lakeside municipalities of Moniga, Manerba, and Padenghe.

Tastings and Local Products

At each winery, the tour includes a tasting of three wines, accompanied by a culinary pairing designed to complement the specific offerings of that winery. The details of the pairings are left to the individual wineries.

The tour thus offers an opportunity to discover various expressions of the wines produced in the Valtènesi and Riviera del Garda Classico regions, with a particular focus on rosé and red wines and the local grape varieties, including Groppello and Tuchì. Also featured are appellations such as Valtènesi DOC, Riviera del Garda Classico DOC, Benaco Bresciano IGT, and San Martino della Battaglia DOC.

Nine itineraries through the wineries

For those who prefer a pre-planned itinerary, the 2026 edition offers nine tours of three wineries each, named after various aromatic herbs: Bay Leaf, Basil, Lemon Verbena, Marjoram, Lemon Balm, Oregano, Rosemary, Sage, and Thyme.

Among the companies involved are Costaripa, Pasini San Giovanni, Selva Capuzza, Cantrina, Pietta, Pratello, Avanzi, La Guarda, Leali di Monteacuto, and Tenute del Garda, in addition to the other participating wineries.

The tours are designed to guide visitors in discovering the diverse winemaking traditions of the Valtènesi region, with travel between wineries planned so that the itinerary can be completed within a single day.

A Journey Through Wine and the Region

The “Profumi di Mosto” program thus focuses on the winery experience and direct interaction with producers. Wine serves as the starting point for exploring the Valtènesi wine-growing landscape, local wineries, and regional culinary specialties.

The initiative is sponsored by the Valtènesi Consortium, which in 2026 included “Profumi di Mosto” among the activities it organizes and promotes for the appellation.
