Vigneti La Selvanella winery
When the La Selvanella estate was purchased in the early 1960s, it was immediately clear how well suited that terroir was for Sangiovese. After a mass selection, 50 hectares were planted in a single body that made it the largest vineyard in Radda in Chianti and the largest Chianti Classico cru.
Vigneti La Selvanella is a unique terroir that led to the production of a Riserva with the 1969 vintage, making it one of the very first Italian wines to be selected and vinified to carry the Cru of origin on the label.
Despite the fashions that have influenced the style of wines over the decades, Chianti Classico Riserva Vigneti La Selvanella has always been true to itself. A wine with an authentic and unique style.
