Bagnoli – Vin Friularo Festival

November 16

The Feast of Vin Friularo: Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025 celebrates, at Dominio di Bagnoli, Veneto, Italy’s last vintage

The event dedicated to tradition and good wine, the Festival of the Last Harvest of Italy, Vin Friularo, is back .

Friularo DOCG is the native Raboso Piave grape variety originating from Bagnoli di Sopra – its very name comes from the Venetian dialect “frio” (cold), precisely because it is harvested after the arrival of the first cold weather, sometimes even after the first frosts. “Stradon del vin Friularo”

The road that connects Padua to Bagnoli di Sopra was once called the “Stradondel vin Friularo,” and this “Stradon” made it possible to reach the countryside and taste the famous Friularo wine, which throughout its thousand-year history was appreciated and extolled by the illustrious Carlo Goldoni, Ruzzante, and Ludovico Pastò, a Venetian poet of the second half of the 1700s who dedicated a dithyramb entitled“El Vin Friularo de Bagnoli.” The Vin Friularo Festival celebrates this history of traditions in which the Dominion Winery has been a protagonist over the centuries.

The Dominion of Bagnoli

The location, extraordinary of its kind in Italy, holds centuries of history. Within the monumental Dominio complex in Bagnoli di Sopra, it represents one of the most important addresses in the Veneto region for grandeur and beauty, under the Superintendence of Fine Arts. From the 17th-century Villa Widmann-Borletti designed by the illustrious Venetian architect Baldassarre Longhena, to the elegant Italian garden, from the ancient granaries, to the fascinating wine cellar, to the endless Brolo with the avenue of Cipressini poplars that, nestled among the Friularo vineyards, connects the villa to a small lake. Between art, shows and parties, the Dominio was, from its inception, a place where Counts Widmann entertained their guests, under the amused gaze of the Olympian gods, represented in Antonio Bonazza’s precious statues.

Dominion Winery

From the legacy of Benedictine monks, the ancient Cantina Vinicola is located here, from which the celebrated Vin Friularo once departed for the tables of the Serenissima, and today an unmissable meeting point. Still active in wine production, the Cantina del Dominio, whose vaults were reinforced by iron beams designed in the late 19th century by Gustave Eiffel, preserves the large, ancient barrels and all the secrets of production. Wrapped in the scent of must, it is now also an extraordinary location for events, where you can toast while choosing your favorite labels. The two ancient granaries, the Granary of Our Lady of the Masses and Granary of Holy Spirit, after a major renovation, retain their original charm in their immense spaces, ideal for corporate events and weddings.

Admission ticket: 10 euros (with glass, bag and 3 wine tastings included)
Purchasable only on site on the day of the event.
Free admission for those under 18.
