The start of oenological 2026 for Italian wine lovers is under the banner of national viticultural biodiversity with Autoctono si Nasce 2026, the Milanese event organized by Go Wine entirely dedicated to Italian native grape varieties. Now in its seventeenth edition, this event confirms itself as an unmissable opportunity to discover the extraordinary wealth of grape varieties born and bred in the different territories of the Bel Paese, bringing attention to authentic wines with strong ties to their terroir.

The heart of the event consists of a rich tasting desk with the participation of dozens of Italian wineries, each a spokesperson for its territorial identity through native grape varieties that are often little known but rich in personality and history. Representative wines of native grape varieties from regions such as Piedmont, Campania, Puglia, Sicily, Abruzzo, Veneto, Tuscany and many others will be present, offering an extremely varied view of Italy’s ampelographic heritage.

In addition to the free tasting, the experience is enriched by face-to-face moments with producers, who tell firsthand stories of their vineyards, growing techniques and the reasons that make their wines special. It is also an important opportunity for industry professionals, who in the early hours of the day have access to a professional preview designed specifically to foster business relationships and technical insights.

For the enthusiast audience, the evening offers a stimulating overview of more than 100 native Italian grape varieties, some of them rare or uncommon, accompanied by the opportunity to purchase bottles in the on-site wine shop area. Admission is by reservation, with differential rates for Go Wine members, members of trade associations and the general public, and includes amenities such as an official wine glass and professional breathalyzer service to ensure safe participation.
