Red Montalcino makes its debut in Siena on October 2 at the Palazzo delle Papesse: 62 producers will be present for the fifth edition of the event dedicated to Rosso di Montalcino

Red Montalcino crosses the village’s borders for the first time and arrives in Siena, where on Friday, October 2, Palazzo delle Papesse will host the fifth edition of the event organized by the Brunello di Montalcino Wine Consortium. The star of the show is Rosso di Montalcino, a versatile and contemporary expression of the appellation, at the heart of an event open to the public that weaves together wine and the local territory with music, culture, and conviviality.

“With its debut in Siena, Red Montalcino is embarking on a new phase of its journey. In fact, this initiative is part of the Consortium’s new promotional plan, which aims to complement the activities held in Montalcino with events capable of reaching different audiences and contexts,” comments Giacomo Bartolommei, president of the Consortium. “In this strategy, the Italian market plays a central role. We want to strengthen our relationship with consumers and raise awareness of a more approachable wine that pairs well with different styles and occasions. Choosing Siena allows us to launch this project while maintaining a strong connection to Tuscany and, at the same time, reaching out to new audiences.”

• 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM · Trade & Press · Walk-around tasting: The day will begin with an initial session reserved for industry professionals and the local press.
• 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM · Public tasting · Walk-around tasting: The tasting tables will also welcome wine lovers; admission is by fee. Live music by Siena Jazz
• 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM · Enoteca Collettiva featuring Rosso di Montalcino by the glass, served by sommeliers.
• 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM · Food corners featuring local specialties, fusion dishes, and vegetarian options.
• 9:30 PM – 11:00 PM · DJ set in the courtyard of the Palazzo delle Papesse
