Go Wine Returns to Florence
Go Wine returns to Florence with its second major event of the year, entirely dedicated to native Italian grape varieties.
The event is part of the “Autoctono si nasce…” tour that Go Wine is promoting throughout Italy this fall.
The event is scheduled for Monday, October 19, at Villa Tolomei: a selection of wineries will engage directly with the public, while others will participate by presenting their wines in a special wine bar.
The Biodiversity of Italian Vineyards
At the heart of the event is the richness of Italian vineyards—their biodiversity—comprising many regions linked by history and culture to different territories, from the north to the south of the country.
There will be over 60 varieties represented, from wineries hailing from as many as 15 different Italian regions: an extraordinary tasting opportunity that also offers a comprehensive overview of the participating wineries.
The general program includes a masterclass organized for Go Wine by Florentine journalist Leonardo Romanelli.
The event is open to Go Wine members and supporters, as well as industry professionals.
Masterclass with Leonardo Romanelli
Highlighting the day’s program is a masterclass with journalist Leonardo Romanelli—a food and wine critic and sommelier—dedicated to industry professionals and the general public:“A Glass-Led Journey Through Italy’s Native Wines”
The masterclass is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Program, Schedule, and Reservations
To ensure the smoothest flow of participants and allow as many people as possible to access the tasting area, entry will be divided into time slots (which must be strictly adhered to) and is by reservation only; reservations must be received by 12: 00 p.m. on Monday, October 19.
3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Preview: Tasting reserved exclusively for qualified industry professionals
(journalists covering the food and wine sector, and recognized professionals working in wine shops, restaurants, and wine bars: two people per establishment).
Accreditation requests must be submitted via email. Go Wine will review the request and confirm accreditation in writing.
5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
The tasting counter opens to the public for wine enthusiasts.
