Champagne Experience 2026: Bologna returns as the Italian capital of French sparkling wine with Europe’s premier event dedicated to Champagne.

The countdown has begun for the ninth edition of Champagne Experience, scheduled for Sunday, October 4, and Monday, October 5, 2026, at BolognaFiere.

Promoted and organized since 2017 by Excellence SIDI, a consortium comprising twenty-one of Italy’s leading importers and distributors of premium wines and spirits, the event returns to the capital of Emilia, reaffirming its role as a premier meeting place for HoReCa industry professionals, importers, distributors, producers, and enthusiasts.

Program

Among this year’s new features, Champagne Experience will be held in Hall 18 at BolognaFiere, right next to Hall 15, which hosted the event during the previous edition. This larger space will be able to accommodate the thousands of visitors expected and offer an even more comprehensive and functional experience.

For two days, the City of the Two Towers will thus serve as the Italian headquarters for France’s most famous sparkling wines and will offer a unique opportunity to observe up close the evolution of the appellation and gain insight into the changes affecting production, the market, and consumption. At a pivotal moment for Champagne—with the CIVC having revised yield limits for the upcoming harvest to align supply with current demand—this event, organized by Excellence SIDI, aims to foster networking opportunities and provide concrete ideas for promoting this iconic wine as part of the offerings for industry professionals.

At the tasting, visitors will be able to sample wines from the 125 participating houses, with tasting stations organized, as usual, by geographic region. The various production areas of Champagne will be represented : Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, Côte des Blancs, and Côte des Bar. The “classic houses,” on the other hand, will be grouped together in a specific area. In addition, the partnership with Champagne de Vignerons—the association created in 2001 by the Syndicat Général des vignerons de la Champagne with the goal of promoting the work of small vignerons—has been renewed.

Once again for the 2026 edition, all industry professionals and Champagne enthusiasts will be able to taste these fine French sparkling wines from the official Champagne Experience glass. The glass is produced in collaboration with Odessa (the exclusive Italian distributor for the Stölzle Lausitz brand) and is specially screen-printed with the event’s logo.
