Trentodoc in Città: The event dedicated to Trentino’s metodo classico takes place this year in Bologna, at Villa Zarri, with more than 190 mountain bubbles
The event dedicated to the in-depth study of the classic Trentino method this year takes place in Bologna. On Sunday, May 17, at Villa Zarri in Castel Maggiore, the Trentodoc Institute and AIS Emilia will bring 63 member sparkling wine houses with more than 190 labels on tap to the Bologna area. To accompany the public in the tasting experience, the Trentodoc App will also be available.
“Trentodoc in Città” is an event dedicated to the discovery of the Trentino classic method and designed to explore the characteristics and expressive variety of mountain bubbles. Organized by theTrento Doc Institute in collaboration with AIS Emilia, “Trentodoc in Città Bologna” takes place on Sunday, May 17, from 2 to 7 p.m., in the spaces of Villa Zarri in Castel Maggiore (Bologna).
The event is an opportunity for meeting and tasting aimed at wine lovers, sommeliers, horeca operators and wine & food professionals, who will be able to move freely among the tasting benches and get to know the different interpretations of Trentodoc up close: there are 63 sparkling wine houses present with their own desks and more than 190 labels for tasting.
To enrich the program of “Trentodoc in Città Bologna,” there will be three one-hour thematic masterclasses in the afternoon, dedicated to some of the denomination’s most representative themes: zero dosage, production districts and reserves. The meetings will be led by three Trentodoc Ambassadors and winners of the Italian Sommelier Association’s Best Sommelier of Italy title, namely Ilaria Lorini, Best Sommelier of Italy AIS 2025, Andrea Gualdoni, Best Sommelier of Italy AIS 2024, and Cristian Maitan, Best Sommelier of Italy AIS 2023.
To accompany the public during the tasting experience, theTrentodoc App will also be available, useful for finding your way around wineries, labels and tasting routes.

Masterclass
The masterclasses are reserved for those who have already purchased tickets for the tasting sessions with the sparkling wine houses. After the ticket purchase, an email will automatically be sent with instructions on how to register. The cost of each masterclass is 20 euros. It is possible to register for only one.
Participation in the event is reserved for an adult audience. Responsible drinking makes people appreciate Trentodoc more.
