Festival dei Vini e Sapori di LombardiaThe Festival dei Vini e Sapori di Lombardia comes to Brescia, and on Sunday, May 4, Market Square is transformed into a food and wine journey through Lombardy

The third edition of the Festival dei Vini e Sapori di Lombardia will be held on Sunday, May 4, at the Market Square in Brescia. After Broni and Mantua, 2025 will feature the city that Giosuè Carducci called “the strong, the iron, the lioness of Italy.”

Protagonists will be the 11 Wines and Flavors Routes of Lombardy, routes designed to enhance territories, beauties and food and wine deposits through experiential tourism.

Through tastings, tastings, explanations of the itineraries, as well as educational activities for children and seminars to learn more about wine, visitors will get to know an extraordinary region.

As pointed out by Federation President Gianni Boselli: <<This year the Festival is in its third year and represents an extraordinary opportunity to highlight the food and wine excellence of Lombardy and, in particular, the activities of the eleven Roads that make up the Federation>>

During the event, guests can participate in guided tours, tastings and master classes to discover the secrets of winemaking and enjoy Lombard wines, accompanied by risotto and other typical products.

The program

Sunday, May 4, Market Square, Brescia

  • The day will begin at 10 a.m. with Holy Mass in the Basilica of Saints Faustinus and Jovita
  • Followed by the opening of the stands from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.: During the day, visitors can visit the stands to taste the many local specialties, cheeses, cured meats, confectionery products as well as risottos, jams and especially wines from the best production areas of Lombardy.
  • At 11:30 a.m., “Piamarta” Hall (Via San Faustino No. 70) will host the conference “Tourism, Territory and Tradition: the Tomorrow of the Wine and Food Roads.”
  • At 12:15 p.m. there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the participation of dignitaries.
  • In the afternoon, at 3 p.m., children’s activities, curated by the International Picture Gallery of the Developmental Age, and the masterclass “Discovering Lombard Cheeses and Cold Cured Meats” will begin.
  • At 4:30 p.m., the cutting of the event’s institutional cake will be celebrated.
  • The day will continue at 5:00 p.m. with the masterclass “The Classical Method in Lombardy .”

The Eleven Wine Roads featured will be:

  • Mantuan wine and flavor trail
  • Road of Garda wines and flavors
  • Valcalepio wine road and flavors of the bergamasque region
  • Oltrepò pavese wine and flavor route
  • Longobard Hills Wine and flavor route
  • San Colombano wine road and flavors of Lodi
  • Cremonese taste trail in the land of Stradivarius
  • Franciacorta Road
  • Valtellina wine route
  • Mantovani Rice and Risotto Road
  • Three Rivers Rice Road of Lomellina

On the days following the event, Wednesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 8, the food and wine experience will continue in collaboration with ARTHOB (Association of Brescian Restaurants, Trattorias and Hosterias) thanks to the adherence of restaurants that will offer dinners accompanied by the best Lombard wines, at an agreed price.
